GoogleBrilliant service from asking for a quote online replied within 30 mins, Brendan came to see me told him happy with their valuation and cheaper than other quotes 2 days later photos arranged was on the market by that Friday and sold on the Monday quick and efficient now we wait for the solicitors

GoogleAfter having had one property fall through with another estate agent, it was refreshing for David Brittons to take the property off the market as soon as our offer was agreed. Contrary to other reviews, we found David Brittons to be very responsive to calls and emails, and no question was too much to answer for their fantastic sales team. Special thanks to Hayden Wilson and Brendan Foley, who communicated with us around our offer being accepted. Straightforward process from start to finish (8 weeks). Thank you 😊

GoogleHad three valuations done.The first was with David Britton .The agent was very punctual. As I showed him around he did not make any notes and seemed uninterested. Maybe he thought I wasnt serious about putting house on the market which I certainly was. On conclusion of house tour he advised me of the house value. The price he quoted was between £165,000 and £180,000. Which was ridiculous as I paid £180,000 for it in 2009 and since then I have put an extension on it. I was not aware that house prices had dropped considerably in 14 years.After his visit no one called or e mailed me on feedback or other information. I can only assume he had no interest in selling my house. The other two valuations from Purple Bricks and H&H valued it at £250,000. David Britton estate agents were not even close. A serious undervaluation. The other two agents also did their homework on house and area and contacted me back two days later. Draw your own conclusions.

GoogleWe were impressed by DB Estates from the outset and cannot fault any of the individual team members. Unfortunately, a breakdown in communications at a crucial point knocked our confidence, but this was addressed rapidly and the final stages of a lengthy sales process were handled with great diligence. Special thanks to Donna for getting things back on track and being such a pleasure to liaise with.

The third house the same , I have found them all to be fantastic and have really looked after me , making sure I don’t have sleepless nights answering all my concerns, The team from David Britton Helen , Donna , Brendon ,lisa and all the lady’s in the team and David himself have always gone up and beyond them selves to help and make the sale process as smoothly as possible , They were helpful professional and I would recommend them to anyone thinking of selling. GoogleThe lady valuer from David Britton valued our property in Askham , Cumbria ( after going away to consult) at £450k, we eventually achieved £555,000 with another agent ….. unbelievable I appreciate this is two years ago but it is something than still rankles with us ….. and I have just read a similar review so thought I would add my opinion , what relevance is the timescale ?? And the fact that David Britton have the audacity to contradict me makes me more confident that I wouldn’t use them again!!

2 years after you sold you leave a negative review? In the most price crazy market that Cumbria had ever seen, with price fluctuations weekly and properties going into bidding wars everyday for hundreds of thousands over asking price. but you didn’t put this remark then but now, how strange!

GoogleWorst estate agents I’ve dealt with. Put me up in bid wars a few months ago for which I lost out (this bit I believe is fair enough). The house then came back on the market last month. They told me initially it had “fallen through due to personal circumstances” only for me to find out from the new prospective buyer the sale has actually gone through, I then called up and confirmed this. They continued to offer a chance to view. Turns out they were just using my interest in buying a first home to push their buyer to move faster. Complete waste of our time. *Updated since the owners response below: The reason I’m leaving this review is simply because we were lied to, smoke and mirror sales tactics unfortunately didn’t go unseen this time. The owner has clearly taken it personally rather than feeding it back to their team. All above statements are based on fact and if they would like to reach out so I can clarify anything I’d welcome it.

It always feels bad being the underbidder and sometimes getting a nod from the agent that a property could come back to the market is good estate agency and when requested by our vendor, essential. This property HAD NOT gone through but was on the edge of breakdown. If the agent didn’t even inform you I am sure the review would be the same. I am sure you won’t require us in the future, so happy house hunting and we really hope you find something soon. Nothing like your first home but very easy for too much emotion to cloud your understanding of the situation.

The third house was a listed building and frankly I was worried about selling it and feeling very negative. The team from David Britton were brilliant and David himself came along and talked us through it and it was sold in a matter of weeks! They were helpful professional and I would recommend them to anyone thinking of selling. Thank you team Britton.

GoogleThe knowledge the team has on selling our property in cumbria was excellent. The sale strategy was perfect and we sold the property very quickly. The only area we did get a little bit frustrated was initial feedback after a viewing which was in our view a bit delayed but maybe we were too impatient! I would definitely recommend them …
