We bought our first home through Mallinson & Co and had a great experience with them. A special thanks to Alex, who was brilliant throughout. She kept us updated, acted in our best interests and was always on hand when we needed answers. The purchase took around a year and wasn’t the smoothest (through no fault of theirs), but she remained proactive and supportive throughout, which we really appreciated. As first-time buyers, that meant a lot. We were even given a moving-in gift at the end, which was a lovely touch. Would happily recommend Mallinson & Co!

Mallinson & Co just saw us through to completion on Friday and I've been really impressed. They're the perfect mix of professional and friendly, and what I learnt is that an estate agent's value comes not just from the marketing of your property and sale of your property, but after sales as well. Alex has been so helpful keeping things moving, chasing people up and keeping everyone informed, it's a really difficult process as you go through conveyancing but they do anything they can to make it easier. Cannot fault the service provided by Mallinson & Co, and in particular Mell. We were buying a house through them, and not only did Mell provide great service with that side, but also went above and beyond in aiding us in the selling of our property. This was incredibly helpful as she was able to coordinate a particularly sticking move which threatened to derail the chain. From the initial valuation visit right through to completion, Ben & Mel provide an impeccable level of service. The other estate agents appeared to be novices in comparison. Mallinson and Co were the estate agents of the house we were buying. The initial interaction with them was not so professional and a bit patronising. The way in which we were questioned to prove to them that we were able to afford the property was extremely unprofessional. Throughout the sale, Mallinson and Co did not seem that interested and it felt that everything was in the sellers favour (I appreciate that the seller has instructed them) but I believe an estate agent should stay or try to stay impartial. We instructed a surveyor to conduct a home survey on the house and this caused several comments to be made by the estate agent themselves and giving their opinion on the comments made by the survey report and stating that the surveyor was being too detailed. This was extremely unprofessional. Towards the end of the sale, the communication from the estate agent was poor. We had to send multiple emails/texts until it came to a point where we had to contact the office manager who rightfully provided the service we expected. The 3 stars are due to the office manager understanding our issues and then rectifying these and asking our point of contact to be in touch with us. There was a nice touch from the estate agents at the sale of the house with a small hamper of gifts. Following the sale of our house, we have contacted the estate agent again with some queries and these have been ignored yet again. Overall, I would not recommend Mallinson & Co to anyone considering a house sale.

Ben and the team dealt with both the sale of our property and the purchase of our new one. On our sale both Hannah, Aimee and Cath were brilliant, kept us updated on views, offers etc and were always easy to get hold of and nothing was ever to much trouble for them. For our new house purchase, we dealt with Mell throughout it all and she was beyond brilliant! Always chasing, always helping and making sure things were moving for us. Got in contact with the office to try and book a viewing. When I stated which house I was calling about the lady on the phone paused and said “Yeah okay…and?” to which I thought wow a bit blunt but okay. I gave her details of our availability and she said she’d get in touch but I haven’t heard anything in over a week, not surprised to be honest as she sounded like she couldn’t care less! Wouldn’t bother in future, customer service goes a long way.
