I am not normally one to leave negative feedback, however I feel strongly that buyers need to enter into any agreement with Avant with realistic expectations.In there marketing Avant claim that the homes are unlike any other and that they do not accept compromises. They also harp on about their Avant Gold Standard, which quite frankly is beyond a joke.We know for a fact that we are not alone in our views, as others have expressed the same. Ever since we exchanged contracts the experience has been worse than poor with little or no communication regarding progress updates. We were initially told a move in date, this was then delayed by over 6 months resulting in the loss of our buyer, Avant agreed to help by Part Exchanging our house, however their offer came in under the valuations given by there 3 assigned agents (Avant advertise 100% market value), the mortgage valuation on our new property also came in lower than the sale price. When we challenged Avant on this there response was "fine we'll cancel the sale then!"The final delays were due to our house not passing the Avant Gold Inspection. On moving in we discovered, damaged door handles, uneven plasterwork, defects to tiles, areas not painted and even missing insulation. In addition the external bricks on the garage were a different brick from half way up. It has taken 18 months to get 3/4 of the initial list done, with most repairs requiring multiple visits due to poor workmanship. The house has been re-plastered the finish was that poor. We have also had issues with the driveway, whenever you turn your wheels it pulls bits of tarmac up, this was challenged and replaced once and the fault has continued. The latest response that we have received from their CEO and MD is that they are not willing to address the issue, as they are satisfied that it is fit for purpose, when we challenged this they had a report done which they are not willing to share the findings of, although conversations that we have had with contractors would support our argument. This lack of Customer Care is something than runs right through the business, even down to the site management who has demonstrated clear examples of sexual discrimination towards females, and has a general attitude of talking down to people. His attitude is that he is not customer facing so doesn't care! Is he not aware that he is talking to customers on a daily basis!Anyway this is an overview of my own experience with Avant Homes and to go into too much detail would take too long!

I bought a house from Avant Home, and I honestly cannot describe how disappointed I am. I never thought a house could be this poorly built. From the moment I moved in, it became clear that the quality of their work was shockingly bad. Everything from the materials used to the overall workmanship is simply unacceptable.If you’re considering purchasing a property from this company, I strongly urge you to take the reviews seriously. They are not exaggerating. The craftsmanship is substandard, and the finishing touches are sloppy at best. The issues I’ve encountered range from structural problems to cosmetic details that should never have been overlooked in a brand-new home.I deeply regret trusting this company with such an important investment. If you value your money and peace of mind, please take your time to research thoroughly before making any decisions. Don’t make the same mistake I did, choose a company that genuinely cares about quality and customer satisfaction.

We moved into our new home on Furlong Park, Doncaster, 22nd December. The site representative (and their colleagues who looked after us whilst they were away) have looked after us brilliantly all the way through from reserving to moving in. We also want to thank the site manager and his team because despite the inevitable minor snags no question has been too much trouble and everyone has been at strains to support us.Overall, we have had a positive experience buying with Avant and our new home is exactly how we wanted it to be.

If I could give this a zero I would . What a truly horrendous experience, after moving into my property in June 23 I had a garden that flooded. I had to put a formal complaint in last November after being told several lies by this company about drains in my garden.one year on the problem is still not resolved and they refuse to do anything further. I have tried to escalate my complaint further but they don’t know who to escalate it to ?? The managing director Richard Hosie will have no communication with me at all. The complaints process is a joke at the customers expense. You have to fight to get all your snagging done which takes forever. What should have been a life changing move has turned into a horrendous experience this has been and so stressful. Do your research before you buy an Avant home they all look beautiful when you visit the show home but in reality it’s a different story.

In Avant home 1 month now. I read so many negative reviews and I was a bit worry but I found the site manager Dean very interested in customer satisfaction, reactive to our needs, and generally a star. External snags were completed even in our absence. Small snags shouldn't be counted as realistically I can do them myself quicker and almost effortlessly. So thank you Dean and team. So far happy homeowner.

We were made very welcome by Pat at the Collingsgate development near Coalville. There was no pressure or rush with our viewings and all of our questions were fully answered, Pat’s knowledge shone through. We built up a good rapport which made the process very enjoyable.
