Went to earls park estate today to look around the show home. Louise and leah the 2 ladies there were an absolute delight, friendly, chatty and gave us some much information. Gave us lots of options and lots of information to take home also. They couldn't do enough for us. We gained more information from louise then any of the other new build developments we've been and trust me we've been to a few. Thankyou ladies for being so nice.

I would not recommend Avant homes to…

I would not recommend Avant homes to anyone at all as the quality of the houses are substandard and after completing on my property and having assurances made by the customer care dept to do work, they do not do the work but try and fob you off with repairs to brand new products. And the customer care dept should be renamed, We do not care dept As they do not care you have spent a considerable amount of money buying your new home that by the way should have been completed 2 months before I actuality completed So stay well away from Avant homes is my advice. I would give zero stars if I could and also wish I had never come across Avant homes let alone buy one of their houses !

Don’t believe the other reviews. Avant Homes are a cowboy outfit. Since we purchased our home in 2021 (Hawfinch Place) we have made several improvements to our home and have utilised the services of a local odd-job tradesmen to implement them. He has frequently been left speechless at the ineptitude and stupidity of the original builders. They will leave no corner uncut. The coup-de-grace was when we arranged to have solar panels installed. The installer notices a hole in the roof (which allowed birds to access our attic in the spring) and more seriously that many of the roof tiles were damaged with hairline fractures, as if the whole batch of tiles was faulty. Avant Homes response to this: “unfortunately we do not cover broken tiles under our warranty…..this will be down to homeowners maintenance”

After Sales Poor, Sales Team Great

We could not fault the sales team, they provided clear updates and we very professional throughout. Since moving in is where the experience really changed, instantly fell into multiple issues and they continued to grow over time. A lot of the issues were cosmetic, which you may expect but we had some plumbing issues that we would consider a major issues especially as these had passed through quality control. When we first moved in the Site Manager handled these issues really well but when they felt these were 'resolved', customer service went dark. We have had several e-mails not acknowledged and no resolution sorted for a large proportion of these issues, with new ones added including fascia issues which we noticed once it rained potentially leading to damp in the future if not resolved. Only reason this is not a 1 star is for the Sales Team, they have been significantly let down by the after care team.

Avant don't care at all.

I used the Avant complaints process for someone to investigate my shoddy tiling. That was in August, no one has come to inspect the tiling yet and every now and then I get a cut and paste email from the regional manager telling me how important my issue is to them and they are still waiting on a date from the tiling company. Once you have a house with Avant you will get very variable support on snagging issues and only then if you take so much time to chase them up. They really don't care at all and their amazing reviews are perplexing and not reflective of the situation here. We have had some great workmen round to fix issues, of which there were quite a few, but unfortunately they all leave the company quite quickly.

Avants communication and organisation was terrible, we had people come to the door for works we were not informed of. Expecting a simple drain check but ending up with walls being drilled into. We understand this needed done but the fact that nobody though to tell us or explain why is absolutely appalling and, sadly, very much in line with overall experience with Avant to date.

Too many snagging issues and barely attended to. I have issues raised over 7 months ago and still have not been attended. These issues have cost me money and the builder simply ignores emails like there is no after sales service at all. I have emails 2 weeks old that have not been acknowledged. I have a green patch on my ceiling for almost a month now. Clearly you're valued when you are looking to buy a house, once you're in, they do not care about you or what you say or issues you raise. I personally regret the move although this was well polished on the outside. Don't make the mistake I made...

Was in the process of purchasing a new build and paid my reservation fee. At the last moment and without proceeding any further I cancelled my reservation. Although the sales person initially extremely accommodating and helpful, the minute I pulled out that all changed. What really got to me was the extremely personal and rude message sent to me once I had cancelled. I don’t want to go into details but it was one of the most unprofessional and quite frankly rude dealing with any company I have dealt with. This of course is not directly at Avant but one of the sales team. I felt like I must be the only person that has ever pulled out of buying a new build. Glad I didn’t buy it in the end but that not the fault of Avant.

Just reserved a house at Thistle Meadows in Tranent . Was welcomed by a wonderful sales advisor named Cate. She’s was friendly and very helpful . Nothing was a bother. Also visited nearby development at Blindwells to see show home . Sales advisor Steven also very friendly and helpful . Couldn't have received a better experience

I was skeptical about new build homes previously, but I knew a new build was right for me so followed my gut. I'm so glad I did. Julia and the team at Lawrence Point Eastwood have made my experience flawless from start to finish. Quick responses, friendly faces and all round positive people. Any small snagging issues were sorted immediately and rectified on the day. Can't fault the team or service, has restored my faith in new builds totally.

We turned up on spec but Lewis was very helpful and allowed us to take a look at the Showhome. We were interested in The Bilborough currently being marketed and Lewis explained the nearest Showhome we could view that would give us a feel of the space in The Bilborough was The Thoresby at Greenlock. We decided to have a drive across to take a look.Lewis advised he would send us details and allow us to have a look at The Bilborough in the new year as it is currently still under construction.Overall really friendly and helpful.
