We all know how stressful selling and buying can be but at some point we all have to go through the process if we want to climb the property ladder. What really helps though is having a great team on your side to guide you through the process. The team at Colchester were the best with Elliot, Richard and Rachele always being on hand to answer questions. Ours went right to the wire with our most stressful completion ever finally getting the keys to our new home at 16:55 on a Friday. Rachele was our guardian angel and even stayed on late to make sure we were sorted. Our thanks to a great team at Fine & Country and we would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone considering which agent to use. Thanks again all! 🥂🍾

It is easy to give a 5-star review when everything is straightforward, but the real test is how people handle things when a purchase becomes difficult. Towards the end of our purchase, there were some unforeseen circumstances that made the process more challenging. I experienced extremely disappointing service from Richard and his team during our recent purchase, and the contrast with our current agent has been stark. On more than one occasion, Richard stated that he “works for the seller, not the buyer.” While I fully understand who instructs and pays the agent, such comments came across as dismissive and unprofessional. A competent agent should manage the transaction professionally for all parties and ensure the process is handled with care through to completion. We ultimately withdrew after discovering the property was of non-standard construction, something that was not disclosed to us. This oversight cost me nearly £500 in fees, not to mention wasted time and significant inconvenience. It is concerning that an agent marketing a property was unaware of such a fundamental detail. Once our offer was accepted, communication deteriorated noticeably. Calls were not returned, emails went unanswered, and when I raised this, the explanation given was that they were short staffed and someone else had been asked to respond on his behalf. This demonstrated a clear lack of ownership, accountability and professionalism. Overall, the experience fell well below the standard I would expect.

I have been dealing with eh colchester branch of fine and country. The service they have been providing really has been above and beyond what I have experienced with other estate agents in the past. Very informative and helpful, I was stuck with an estate agents for 7 months with early any viewings. I switched to fine and country, within the first 2 weeks they had surpassed the amount of viewings by the previous agents over their 7 months. by the end of the first month I had an offer in and accepted. but it didn't stop there, they have been tireless in helping get the sale through as quickly as possible, no chasing up on them, nothing. so bloody refreshing to have an estate agents that actually want to GET THE JOB DONE. Tristan was superb throughout the sale of our Suffolk property. Even our purchasers were complementary about his work and demeanour. We have bought and sold aprox 5 times in the past 20 Yrs and he is the best Estate Agent we have ever had dealings with. Basically, all the service level promises he made when pitching for the agency he delivered on eg feedback from every viewing, only sending credible viewers not time wasters, and he assisted the speed of a 10 week from viewing to completion turn-around of a complicated sale which might not have completed otherwise.
