GoogleLoved it, came mainly to see the grounds and Helen Oxbury exhibition. Illustrations were π€© and the gift shop had so many unique pieces reasonably priced.
Beautiful place exceeded expectations and was worth the trip.
In the museum towards the back of the courtyard there is an unpleasant smell of sewers coming from basement toilets.
Didnβt have a chance to do the full estate walk and see everything before 5pm but would like to return.
The garden centre was mehhh, nothing different from Brookfields.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo wait

GoogleIt's a lovely estate and the cafe is great, but the dog park was ruined by someone who claimed they'd booked at the same time and kept giving unwanted and incorrect advice about my dog. Some privacy and respect would have been nice. Also, β¦

GoogleBusy Saturday after Xmas but loads of parking and a brisk walk round Creswell Crags up over the hill past the disused quarry to Holbeck, past Woodhouse Hall and back to Welbeck for coffee and cake. Cafe is excellent even when busy *****

GoogleWe visited on a Monday with our dog and it was so busy but so nice. Picked up lots of bits and bobs for the dog as well as ourselves. We had a late breakfast at the cafe and the staff were amazing. They were so nice, very attentive but not over bearing in anyway. Clearly very busy but did not let that lack on their customer services. Every single person that served us, think there was about 4/5 in total were lovely people. We had lots of fun and are definitely wanting to come back soon. It was a very inviting environment.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo

GoogleVery busy place with 3 cafe, a garden centre, gallery and farm shop. The small cafe is always too busy to get a seat so would advise going mid week to eat in this place. β¦

GoogleFirst time visiting but will certainly be back. Beautiful walks, lovely quality items available in the farm shop and the food at the harley cafe was outstanding. Its a shame we'll behaved dogs aren't allowed in the art gallery/museum but will return without the dog another day to visit these

GoogleHad a very unexceptional panini (or was described as a Panini) in the main restaurant. It was t even hot when it finally arrived and service was extremely slow for such a busy place. Expensive menu. The salad dressing was the best bit for me, although my friend didn't like it. My friend had a very pathetic looking jacket potato. Looking around the restaurant, not many people looked delighted with their food & a number of folk were leaving some - and believe me it wasn't because the servings were large. Would I recommend eating there? Sorry but no. Things the second time I've been and the second time I've said 'never again'.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo wait

Hi Margaret,
Thank you for your review. We are very sorry to hear about your experience. We don't serve paninis or jacket potatoes in our cafe, so did you eat in the Notcutts Garden Centre restaurant? The Garden Centre is run by Notcutts and not by the Welbeck estate.
The Welbeck Farm Shop runs the award-winning Harley Cafe on the estate, which we can highly recommend if you do decide to visit again.

GoogleWe come to the welbeck estate all the time for walks. If you go from dukeries garden centre there is a signposted walk that takes you to clumber park. It's a stunning scenic walk and is well worth the time and effort

GoogleWhitwell Wood is managed by Forestry England on a lease from Welbeck Estate. Welbeck Estate have some retained rights and one of which is for shooting. They have given the club the permission to shoot in the wood. Every single year in February, wood pigeons are shot, in the woods. The irony.

GoogleA big thank you to the staff in the coffee shop. We arrived before it opened, but were allowed in and made very welcome. The coffee and the avocado with eggs were lovely.
Thanks.

GoogleI went here yesterday with my Sis, she drove, never been before. Unfortunately we drove in via the wrong road, got out and began walking around. At some point walking down a lovely quiet road, we we approached rather aggressively by Security who had literally ran from his office (he said) and asked 'who are you'. We asked why and he said were on private property on a private road and hadn't we seen the big red sign?? Clearly we hadn't....... He then radios through to a colleague and says ' I've found them' like we were hiding π€·. Another Security Guy pulls up in a van, quite polite and much less aggressive as we walked back down the road. We still didn't see a red sign, as we drive in?! No need for the aggressiveness of the first Guy against 2 60yr old Women.Wait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot sure

GoogleMy friend and I were lucky enough to be invited to the wedding of a great young couple ( Nick & Becca) at Hazel Gap and told to book on to the Welbeck Estate , we stayed at the"'Winnings' and it was just beautiful.. very traditional stone built residence, manicured lawns but with all the mod cons required for modern living.
We had two en-suite bedrooms, fully equipped kitchen and a very nice separate living room with wood burning stove, which I couldn't resist using, just for the lovely glow. Altogether a great time and I will definitely be returning to see more of the surrounding areas.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo wait

GoogleReally enjoyed wandering around this place. The restaurant looks fab - even though we didn't use it. The garden centre was lovely and the plants looked really healthy. I bought some lavender at a really good price. We are planning to do a walk there soon and then eat at the restaurant.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
