Terrible agency. Took weeks to fix anything which was usually followed with a rude email from Jo. Trying to get anything fixed was a nightmare. Followed the procedures with their online system and heard nothing from them for about 1-2 weeks, this was with every fault in the house. Call them and they are rude. Stated we should use the online system. Cleaners which are in the contract to come round every two weeks only came once a month, if lucky. Landlord and agency popped around and knocked on doors whenever they wanted. I worked nights so it was incredibly inconvenient. Plus worried that they might have gone into my room on those times they had been round and i was not there. Stay clear!

This agency is a very good example showing the spirit of business. They are friendly when you get in touch with them, and once your money is in their pocket, they will pretend that you are no longer existing in this world. All your emails will be ignored, all the deposit will be in danger. What they promise on the phone will go to see Aristotle in a second when they hang off. For example, they can charge you £60 for removing left-over food. By the way, the new tenants have moved in before I leave, and I indeed cleaned the bin before I left. I am not sure whether it is their own style or generic social morals of England. 留学生请务必远离这家中介。

Had an awful experience. Tetris offering £100 was prize draw money to try and balance out bad reviews and get false good ones-I can not as a human bring myself to this. Many things would break, including showers to the point they have a communal shower (that is never leaned unless prompted) No gas certificate, no deposit log by goverment scheme (which is why I havnt had mine back). Lived in sewage-as moved flats but the one I was moved into wasnt perfect so I dont know what the deposits are being used to "fix". ( I have told them I only want whats fair, I would go to compensation court but didnt want my landlord have to be the one who pays out-they obliviously dont care about this so will go forward with this and hope any landlords read this and don't go for the cheap option! My mother is a landlord and can't believe someone would pay for this service as they don't even have poite customer service skills. When asking for my deposit back I got abuse. Thats not customer service. Oh yes and my window fell out (in windy conditions) it took a few days to board up, then months to propery fix (the day before a council inspection) the room had no natural light! Oh and my door was compromised whilst I was away for the weekend, and it took months for even some half a job to be done. I had to leave!

Paying for reviews on google as noted by several other reviews. Can't trust them as the same story crops up time and time again wherein they leverage the DPS to try and claim a deposit for themselves falsely. They stooped as far as forging signatures which is a criminal offence. Please save yourself the hassle and please avoid this shambles of an estate agent. Update 14th July 2017 In response to the idea that this is a liable claim I would like to remind Tetris UK that ultimately though 4/5 of our deposits were not returned, one of them was actually returned to us. This is because Tetris UK refused to answer any emails in response to obtain a "supposed" itinerary of which Tetris provided the DPS they they claimed we had signed. By the time we had gone through my personal dispute 3 other of the deposits had been lost as a result before the DPS were able to provide me the document in question. Upon review the signature provided was forged of which the DPS took into consideration before awarding us the final deposit. The response from Tetris was that the member of staff involved with that particular document in question no longer worked there, absolving themselves in their own eyes. Whether their dodgey practices persist now I can't speak for that but my experience with them has left me feeling like they used scare tactics to students who might not know better otherwise. they claimed such a disgusting amount of costs upon a property that was returned in the same state it was originally to scare us. Update 18th July Just to further confirm that none of my former housemates have taken the time to rate your business so your poor business practices could be exposed. Sadly you couldn't be this communication throughout my dealings with yourselves.

The property itself is good and so is the location but I feel forced to move to another property purely because of the attuide of the staff. I live in a 2 bed share and simple things like can I be made aware of when viewings are happening or even when someone is moving in go completely unheard, to the point where someone moves in and the first I hear of it is as I'm woken up from my sleep to noises downstairs. And when I requested a call back about this, they called and immediately said we don't need to tell you, the law doesn't say we need to make you aware when it should be common courtesy especially when your in the house on your own. Every conversation had with them feels like a battle, it just feels as if they are working against you rather than with you. But the funny thing is that they seem nice at first but once you move in and they have what they want there whole attitude changes. I could go into so much detail, but simply put just avoid them because tenants will feel so bad that they have to move out and Landlords will miss out on money while they find new tenants so it's just a lose lose for everybody.

Really dissapointed in this company. Had a good experience majority of the year with no problems but having a lot of trouble for the deposit as most reviews have said. We have disputed the deductions of our deposit as they were ridiculous and have heard nothing since (blatent ignoring) despite emailing multiple times. We are still waiting and our tenancy ended in July. Would not recommend as can no longer call this a trustworthy company with students best interests at heart.

DO NOT trust the positive reviews - Tetris has been bribing people to give them positive reviews. I know this because they tried to do the same thing to me and my housemates - see the attached picture. By the way Tetris staff, if you are reading this, this behaviour is explicitly disallowed by google and I have reported you for it. I would rate Tetris zero stars but the lowest google allows is one. Their prices seem cheap and the properties themselves are fine but the problem is their attitude. They attempted to screw me over after I left by claiming my whole deposit and I had to fight them for it using the DPS, which of course ruled in my favour in the end but it was still a huge pain in the ass, and infuriating to be made to fight for MY OWN money. They did the exact same thing to every one of my housemates so it's clearly their standard policy not an isolated mistake. They have also installed electronic fire alarm management systems in their properties and refuse to provide the deactivation codes to tenants. This means if you accidentally burn your toast the alarm will keep ringing until you phone tetris and wait for their employee to come and turn it off. This may take up to an hour during which the deafening alarm continues. And the best part? They charge you £75 for "making them" send out someone. I don't want to get too extreme with my language here so I won't go on an expletive filled rant but really that's what Tetris deserve. I've nothing else to say except never, NEVER give them your business.

In my personal view, I would not recommend using Tetris at all. Echoed by other reviews, charged over the odds for minor things including weeding the garden- even though this had been done prior to us leaving, the company waited half a month before inspecting the property and therefore the weeds had grown back. At least 5 times not giving 24 hours notice before entering the property and the property was a state when we moved in. Would tell any student to stay well away.

Similar to the two most recent reviews, we too have been charged in excess of £1000 for a well maintained, clean and tidy house. Tetris seem to be fabricating charges to all their student tenants, in the hope that they will naively pay it. Tetris have failed to provide an itemised breakdown of charges, instead quoting meaningless figures which similar to the previous two reviews conveniently seem to add up to around the £1000 mark. Exploitative and extortionate. Avoid at all costs.

We rented a student house through Tetris for one year between 2015-2016. The house itself was actually very nice and well equipped, in a great location and lovely street. However, Tetris UK were absolutely awful. We didn't get any correspondence throughout the tenancy due to them having the wrong email addresses even though we told them the correct ones several times. When things went wrong such as mould and malfunctioning basins, they made us fix it ourselves, even though their promoted "in-house maintenance team" should have fixed it. Not only this, we were shocked when Tetris charged us over £1000 at the end of our tenancy for damages even though we left the house in a very reasonable condition. £50 to remove a suitcase, £75 to repaint a wall "damaged by blu tac marks" and £100 for forgetting to "weed the garden" (despite the garden being in a very poor state on arrival), are just a few of the outrageous charges we were handed yet could do nothing about because it was their word against ours. Overall a very bad experience with Tetris, I would advise the landlord using another agency to avoid further dissatisfied tenants as a result of their incompetency. Do not use Tetris.

Absolutely shocking customer service. We were promised a refurbished property but we got a mould covered, dirty house with blood stained mattresses and condoms left in the bedrooms. After months of arguments, 'negations' and being called nasty by this apparently professional company we finally had the mould disguised and a few basic repairs. I lived a year in a freezing cold house with dirty furniture and mould presenting itself in new places every week. Being 6 clean girls paying £105 a week we made it as nice as possible and kept the house clean and the garden weed free but Tetris still had the cheek to charge us £50 each for cleaning the 'dust' in the property and the weeds in the garden. They caused so much stress and ruined a year at university. Avoid at all costs!!!!!

The house was a good student house. However, the service from Tetris has been polite yet average. Throughout the tenancy we were not sent our rental invoices via email due to them being sent to incorrect addresses. And after our tenancy we were changed around £1000 for a house that was left in good condition. The charges both seemed unfair in the first place and very expensive for what they were. Other student lets in Lenton would charge a fraction of the deposit that Tetris did. Correspondence on the matter was not great, and when challenged a couple of charges were removed altogether, making you wonder how they came up with them in the first place...

I've been dealing with the staff in one way or another for many many years now. I've always found them to be both friendly and reliable as well as very hardworking to say the least. Over the last few years I've also dealt with some of the team on a social side too. The enfusiasm of all of the team is nothing but infectious. Well done Tetris keep up the hard work. Dan Knipton

Awful in all respects. Treat you like they’re above the law. Try to bully and lie their way to get what they want. They coerce you into leaving positive reviews. For your own sanity and your wallet, find a responsible landlord to let from and avoid them like the plague!

Tetris UK are undoubtedly the best student lettings agency in Nottingham, we are so pleased with the service we have received that we have decided to stay with them for another year. Tetris have always been prompt if we've needed anything sorting out in the house and they have also been very patient with us in returning our application forms as we are all recent graduates working full-time.

We have recently purchased a house from Tetris and we couldn't be happier with both the property and the level of service that we have received from them. Everyone that we dealt with throughout the sale of the property were friendly, professional and helpful. I would definitely look to use Tetris again to build us a house and would have no hesitation in recommending them.

Tetris UK has really made my moving in to be such a pleasant experience. They catered to my personal needs and gave me very good advice on the moving in process. Finding a house and signing papers can be daunting but they guided me through everything and it was a breeze. I would recommend everyone to use Tetris as their estate agent.

A truly professional team that take the stress out of letting your property. I have worked with them now for nearly 5 years and wouldn't consider any other company to take care of my house. Communication is swift, and any tenant issues have been dealt with quickly and efficiently. Highly recommend Tetris UK
