Strutt & Parker ( Ed Lucas in London and Patrick Glynn-Jones in Winchester) Successfully sold our Hampshire home for us in November 2020 and for just under the asking price. They acted throughout in a totally professional manner, keeping us fully informed about the feedback from viewings and courteously keeping in touch with those viewers who had expressed interest. A sterling effort in difficult conditions

We put our wonderful old house on the market in September 2018, just in time for the worst of the Brexit impasse, followed in early 2020 by Covid-19. In these inauspicious market conditions Strutt and Parker worked extra-hard to publicise the house, with features in the Telegraph, The Sunday Times and elsewhere, as well as getting us a free repeat advert in Country Life. The brochure was excellent as was the Matterport 3-D digital survey. Throughout the 2 years it took to sell, they kept us well informed of the market, and the views of potential buyers. We were pleased by the service they provided.

We bought our new house through Ed Church at the Canterbury branch of Strutt and Parker and we were delighted with the service we received. Both Ed and his team were incredibly helpful and informative and they were quick to keep me updated on any developments with the house we hoped to buy. Luckily we were able to secure our dream home and the whole process from offer to completion was seamless and well managed by Ed and the team. We were able to achieve a pretty quick turnaround from offer to completion which was most useful for us as we had a pretty tight timetable. All in all it was a pleasure working with Ed and his team.

From initial enquiry (agents for selling my property) to completion I found Strutt and Parker extremely professional and attentive. Due to the unique nature of the property which included a mix of residential and business elements, the sale process was more involved than anticipated, however at every step, Strutt and Parker facilitated negotiations between relevant parties, ultimately arriving at a sale. For the next thirty years, they offered guidance and support as I kept track of the market in deciding when to sell. That led to a very satisfactory sale of the property in 2014 and successful outlying sales in 2020. I highly recommend Strutt and Parker Lettings. I have been using them (Formerly Roberts Newby) in Gerrards Cross for seven years to rent property to me and my family. We are tenants in our third property from them at the moment! They have been an outstanding letting agent and managing agent throughout. The agents seem to always be available to help with any issues, they get repairs done quickly and without drama, and they seem to liaise extremely well with the landlord/owners. I am a demanding customer so it says a lot for me to give such high ratings. They truly get things done, and have kept us very happy!

I just rented a new apartment through Strutt & Parker in Gerrards Cross. From the moment I contacted Katie and Charlotte in lettings, I’ve had nothing but a professional and efficient service. I had an issue with referencing as I’ve not been in the UK for a long period and hence, my credit history was limited. Charlotte and Katie did everything possible to convince the Landlord that I was a reliable and trustworthy tenant. Thanks to their hard work, the Landlord accepted my application. I also had a few issues within the apartment and these were dealt with immediately and resolved. I have no reservation recommending Strutt & Parker, Gerrards Cross if you’re looking for a rental property or if you’re considering selling/purchasing a home

Managing the difficult things well

We have just gone through a house move which lets just say was not as simple as anyone had hoped, but it was kept on track by the excellent team at Strutt and Parker in Guildford. The process we encountered on our sale was complex, and the relationship with our seller was managed exceptionally well by Jackie - who quite frankly kept the dream alive, and us heading into the house we had dreamed of for our family for the next 20 or 30 years. Lets just say that in comparison to our own estate agency experience on selling - it was night and day. If we ever need to move again - S & P are our first stop.

Strutt & Parker's Salisbury office acted as my selling agents for my six bedroom home with 13 acres of fields and woods in Swallowcliffe, near Tisbury in SW Wiltshire. Fiona Pengelly and Sarah Cull provided their usual excellent service, and Carola Mangnall showed prospective buyers round. I sold to one of the first viewers. Strutt and Parker recently sold our property in Norfolk. We were persuaded to reduce the asking price by 7%, which we were disappointed at. Our agent was very helpful until lockdown in February, after which we never saw him again, but only held telephone conversations, until our sale in August. He did not hand over the keys at completion as he was on a day off. we handed over to the purchasers ourselves. Since then we have had no contact, apart from unnecessary advertising by the company. Since the fees were around £15,000, we were disappointed.

Rubbish and unprofessional!

My rental property is managed by the most unprofessional property manager called Shannon Flanagan. She is the laziest, unethical and unprofessional person I've seen working either in property or recruitment. I'm sorry for you if you'll deal with her or Jay O'Dell from Cadogan Street London. The people working at Strutt & Parker make recruiters look amazing. They are rubbish at fixing issues with the property and excellent at ignoring emails about the issues. In my case they claim that the heating system (underfloor heating) is working when contractors sent to verify the system needs significant work to be fixed. I ended up buying a heater and using that to heat the property for 2 winters. In 2019 I told Strutt & Parker that I'm not going to pay for the rubbish SSE heating system since it's not working a bill for £1.5/day just for the standing charges via 2 emails. They didn't decline my request nor commented on this. I sent them all the SSE bills and told me that they are paying them month after month. After a year they are claiming that we never had an agreement and that I have to pay the standing charges even the consumption is £0 after they failed to fix the system. Did I mention that I asked for a heater and I never got one delivered in the middle of January? All these for only £500/week for a 1 bedroom apartment. Got to love estate agents in London!

Very Little Effort Made :-( - Odiham Branch

Poor Customer Service, be careful if you are planning on offering in a competitive market and have indicated such in an email a few hours after viewing as they will make very little effort to contact you urgently. They won't reply to the email. They won't call your landline, they will call a mobile that doesn't connect and leave a message apparently! Doesn't seem much effort either for the fees charged to the vendors either!

Strutt and Parker was once one of the elite Estate Agents that one could rely on to provide the very best service. This is sadly no longer the case. They lied to us. Asked when the property would appear on Rightmove, we were told it would be at least 48 hours as Rightmove now slow at putting properties online. Saturday lunchtime was the earliest we might expect it live. It did not appear. After doing research, we discovered that Strutt & Parker, Lewes, had purposely delayed placing it on Rightmove so they could have it as 'Exclusive' on their own marketing site OnTheMarket.com. We lost valuable time with it on a site few people seem to use. When we pointed out that we had discovered their deceit, they merely shrugged their shoulder with a dismissive email. We asked them to provide figures as to how many views the property had received while they had it as exclusive - they never answered the question. We withdraw the property from them. Highly unprofessional and very dissatisfactory.

Worst company to rent an apartment from. Pure theft.

This is the worst company I have ever rented from (and I have rented from many). They are unprofessional, do not care if you are robbed or had your apartment broken into, and finally will always support the landlord regardless of the circumstance. My apartment was robbed and they told me I could not break my contract and leave as the lardlord and struttandparker denied me so. I reverted to using my break clause (which I initially forced into the contract) which took place in a few months. The apartment I entered was not clean, furniture broken and damaged and they would not change it, and also not to mention their managing company trying to enter my apartment on multiple occasions using their keys while I was inside. This is a terrible money hunting company and I will never recommend them to anyone ever...

They charged us a very high fee and failed to mention they would be charging us another £650.00 for marketing costs, but hid it in the T&Cs I signed.We never received feedback from viewings unless we chased it up and then they were always slow to reply.They threatened us with legal action for having not paid the marketing fees on the day of completion of sale for my parents house that had been in the family for over 40 years, that was upsetting.
