GoogleMills Knight (Norwich) were my letting agents for six years and I cannot thank them enough for their wonderful customer service and care. Any time my partner and I had a query or an issue, Mills Knight responded quickly and dealt with the problem. The whole team were always friendly and welcoming, a real pleasure to correspond with. A special thank you to Ivana for being a joy to chat with before flat viewings. We honestly couldn't have asked for better letting agents. If they are ever your letting agents, please rest assured that you are in safe hands. Thanks for everything Mills Knight.

GoogleI have used Mills Knight for a number of years and always found that this family run estate and letting agency provide an excellent service. Directors Julie and Neil and their professional staff are available and hands-on, sourcing reliable tenants for my rental properties and managing them, for probate valuation, and more recently helping to guide the sale of my north Norwich rental flat to a satisfactory conclusion in a subdued market. The firm are well-known and respected locally, having operated from their Bank Plain office for 60 years, and I shall certainly continue to entrust them with my property affairs, as they consistently give sound advice on rental levels and realistic sale prices. They always pay attention to the detail. Keep up the good work!

GoogleSince 2004, I have been a customer of Mills Knight .Julie and her team have been looking after my 2 properties from A to Z as I live abroad. During that time they have been so helpful, honest ,always trying to solve problems in the best way for both parties Landlord and tenants .They organised the repair and maintenance of my properties at reasonable prices. In 2012 I was victims of a scam concerning my properties Julie reacted quickly and help me to solve the problem successfully.

Always there to help and being positive.
I would have no hesitation to recommend Mills Knight for there professionals and human approach and honesty. I am so lucky to have them as my estate agent.. A big thank you to Julie, Neil. Mary. Lynn. Donna.

GoogleUsed Mills Knight for a flat, really good service from start to finish. Had a couple of small issues upon moving in (electricity was in debt for example) but Mills Knight were great with rectifying any issues of this nature. I then got a new job and needed to leave Norwich and Mills Knight could not have been more hospitable and helpful. I would highly recommend Mills Knight. Special mention for Charlie and Rebecca who have been excellent throughout the process. Thank you.

GoogleI previously rented a property through this agency and had a very positive experience. They were professional, responsive, and clear in all communication throughout my tenancy. Any questions or concerns were handled efficiently. I would happily rent through them again.

GoogleIf i could give a zero I would. Had the ultimate displeasure of dealing with 'Mary' when leaving our property. Due to our moving date being changed due to the current tenants in our future property being in a chain for buying a house and having their date put back, we were told we are within our legal rights to withdraw our email about a moving out date (bare in mind nothing had been signed yet so nothing on our side was legally binding) we were told by Mary that it was nothing to do with them and that we needed to be out of the property and put our stuff into storage and stay in a hotel for a week. There was absolutely no need for us to be pushed out of a home we were paying for, also nobody was ready to move in as at this point we were still hosting viewings!!
After speaking to a lawyer I was told this was intact not the case, due to nothing being singed we could stay for as long as needed and if other accommodation was needed our current estate agent (mills knight) would have to pay for this, but obviously there was no mention of this from mills knight. Only after a few tearful phone calls to our future land lord and a visit to mills knight from my partner it was agreed that we would spend another month in our property, no issues.
It worries me to know the lettings Manager has absolutely no idea what she's talking about and if we had not spoken to somebody she would have broken the law and left us homeless for a month. An awfully horrible, rude lady.

GoogleIf you're looking for a letting agent or to sell your home we can highly recommend Mills Knight . They manage our let property and have taken care of everything so efficiently, making it hassle free for us - definitely worth the management fee.
Recently we sold our own property with Mills Knight and again the service was second to none. There were a few hitches towards the end of the process but Julie and the team put in so much effort to bring the sale to a successful conclusion. As an independent company you get a much more personalised service and nothing seems too much trouble for them.

GoogleAwful people. There was another party with me to see the same property at the same time .The saleswoman asked me to fill out some forms by going to their office (she is supposed to bring the reference forms with her when she comes to show a property).
I asked her what happens when more than one person likes the property, to which she said that the "landlord decides". So I decided to go to their office to fill out the reference form as I was interested. But when I reached their office, the same saleswoman tells me that she has given the house to the other party !!!!!!!!
Such pathetic people. Seriously...unethical, disrespectful, awful experience.

GoogleWe recently sold our house in a rural area of Norfolk and bought a house in Norwich. Both transactions were handled by Mills Knight, and I am pleased to say that we were very favourably impressed. Julie and the team were very efficient and helpful throughout, and despite the slow market environment, we were able to complete both transactions in five months. This is in dramatic contrast to our previous experience with another estate agent about a year ago.

GoogleScammers, scammers, scammers!
They do not provide 24h service for out of offiice hours issues on property. I spent 3 bank holidays fixing electricity and water tap on my own cost. They said that I'm not allowed to fix anything on the property, but they are not answered my voicemail till next working day.
They also left me without garden for 2 years as they didn't fix the decking. Often just ignoring you or explaining that the issue is fixed or good as it is...
The enginer is useless.

GoogleCould not recommend mills knight enough!
Fabulous service from start to end. They sold our property quickly with great communication throughout.
Regular phone calls keeping us upto date on what was happening, I never had to chase anything up, they were always on the ball.
Moving house was not half the stress I thought it would be thanks to Julie and her lovely team.
Highly recommend.

GoogleExcellent overall - far better than the previous and predatory agents I had in London before moving to Norwich. Generally lovely people and helpful.
I would rate them a '4.5' if I could; only small issue was that they didn't check the heating controller before we moved in. It turned out to be broken, and took ages to fix (which wasn't their fault but the supplier's). But ultimately, if they'd checked the apartment super thoroughly before we moved in, we wouldn't have had the issue.
Overall fully recommend them

GoogleI don't recommend this agency for Tenants .
The reason being is that they are quite biased towards landlord to the point it becomes unreasonable, from multiple house inspections for unfurnished house in the middle of Covid pandemic to please an anxious owner without any considerations to what was going on , to having to chase for repairs and hefty unfair deposit deductions with no realistic grounds , blindly following what Landlord says which was quite frustrating experience.
There are more reputable firms around that offer better quality service .
For those reasons i do not recommend them for Tenants.

GoogleThis is only my second experience with letting agents so all my prior experience was gained with another major Lettings outlet.
Luckily I spotted the previous tenants moving out of the apartment before the To Let sign went up and had contacted Mills Knight on Sunday so that I was one of there first clients they saw on Monday morning. Wednesday I saw the apartment and accepted it all references pending that was on December 22nd. By January 16th I was moving in and the landlord had put a new boiler in and redecorating certain rooms which I was really happy with. The was a certain odour in the flat but within the week and scented plugs the odour had gone.
Mills Knight apart from not having a card reader made things really easy to deal with. Within 24hrs I was directed to the Lettings hub who dealt with all references and credit checks and then straight after Christmas it was moving in date.
The only thing I did find strange ( not Necessarily wrong ) and that is when you get the keys and contract for the first time you are in their office not your new flat meaning the first time you walk into the flat and if you find anything wrong they have to rely on your word for it even though you may not have done anything. Thankfully apart from some boot polish on the carpet and a broken freezer drawer everything has been spot on and as a result would recommend Mills and Knight.
Please denote Even though my surname is Mills . I am in no way affiliated with Mills Knight other than being a customer.

GoogleMills Knight handled the sale of my fathers house. He had lived there for over sixty years it was a big wrench for him to leave and coupled with the pandemic could have made it a very stressful exercise for both him and the rest of the family. Any stress was cushioned by the professional, friendly and compassionate attitude by the staff. We were kept informed regularly of how things were progressing and were really spoon fed with regards to the procedures. Wholeheartedly recommend this firm to handle property sale. Many thanks to the team of Mills Knight.

GoogleThis is the second property I have sold with Mills Knight and I have also used them on a number of occasions for probate valuations too. As always they are responsive and most of all honest clear and professional. This property Julie, and her team understood my desire to sell quickly and helped agree a sensible guide price which was spot on which attracted much interest After a failed first purchaser who was unable to secure a sufficient FTB mortgage they acted quickly to contact other interested parties and swiftly secured a replacement buyer Although there were a few challenges throughout the sale they acted professionally with all stakeholders in the process and I am convinced were invaluable in securing a successful outcome for both parties I am a firm believer that dealing with a good professional small knowledgeable independent will out perform the large in-personable corporate every time Thanks once again Team MK for another successful and happy client

GoogleI had charge of my sister-in-law's property in Norwich when she went into a care home. Not being into property myself, and living 4 hours away from Norwich, I needed an agent I could trust. At our first meeting I reckoned that Neil Engall fitted the bill, and that initial confidence has been well rewarded: from the refurbishment of the flat to letting it for several years to its eventual sale, Mills Knight have never put a foot wrong. Their staff have all been a pleasure to deal with. Highly recommended.

GoogleOur experience renting with Mills Knight was generally favourable until we ended our tenancy and needed our deposit returning. We had no correspondence and had to chase return of our deposit. When we finally received it we were missing a substantial amount of money, which had been taken by our landlord without our knowledge. When we raised this with Mills Knight, their response was "oh we thought you knew." We complained, which we received no correspondence to. When we explained we were raising a formal dispute we received an email back straight away saying our full deposit was going to be refunded.
If we hadn't have complained then our deposit would have been retained unfairly by the landlord and knowingly by Mills Knight.
Would not recommend!

GoogleApparently a nice, small company, sometimes having unique properties in Norwich.
But when we had issues with the property we rent, the help was very slow, or, if they can't provide any help at that time, will use a careless attitude.
For instance, we had issues with the heating in the property - not working. And because I missed the call from the engineer, I was told by this rude lady that I need to wait until next day - this was like 3-4 pm. And on a weather with 12 degrees outside which dropped to 10 degrees outside overnight she adds: "it's not cold outside anyway!" (this was 20th October)
You won't get a more careless answer. With 2 children in the house this answer was more than offending. And when I told her about the kids she said: "well, I'm sorry", which she obviously was not.
### Again completely CARELESS and UPSETTING. ###
Lady, if you read this, when someone has a problem and asks for help, you start with warm and kind words. That person is in distress already for whatever the reason. DON'T ADD MORE PRESSURE ON THEIR SHOULDERS!!
And who are you to decide what is cald or warm for me?
*** This is about how to lose clients! ***

GoogleWe're so pleased we are renting our property through Mills Knight, the whole process from arranging the viewing to signing the tenancy agreement has been fantastic. Everyone in Mills Knight who we have dealt with during our property search has been incredibly professional, quick to respond and always helpful. I had started my property search back in July and dealt with a lot of Estate Agents in Norwich, I can genuinely this agency really knows what they are doing, they have a family business feel and their customer service is fab.

GoogleWhat I like about Mills Knight, apart from the friendly service and the willingness to go that extra mile is that they are fair to both Landlord and Tenant. As a Landlord I appreciate the nudge when necessary to comply with regulations and I know they will not expose me to undesirable tenants for the sake of a fee. Equally my tenants tell me they enjoyed the process of becoming one of my tenants and were very pleased with the guidance and speed of the MK process.
Absolutely no hesitation in suggesting you give them a try whether landlord or tenant. On the last transaction I had a void of 24 hours only. How good is that.
