Micheal has been fantastic at explaining all the stages of applying and securing a mortgage to me as a first time buyer. He was transparent, discreet and personable. Micheal kept me informed at each stage the process through email and phone calls. He has been great at explaining all the extras that come with purchasing a house - like insurance and wills. I will definitely be using Micheal again and I 100% recommend.

This is the second time I have used Alistair and each time he has been completely flawless and always goes above and beyond to help he really takes the stress out of the whole thing. Alistair was brilliant through out the whole process of me buying my house. He always responded quickly to emails, checked in with both calls and emails and was always available to answer any questions. All of the information he gave was easy to understand and I knew exactly what to expect at each stage of the process. Alistair Bowman is hands down the best mortgage advisor in the business. Having used Alistair Bowman as my mortgage advisor for the best part of a decade it is clear that I wouldn’t want to use anyone else. Nothing is a problem for him, always communicating throughout the whole process and his knowledge/experience means he is able to answer all questions and queries that I have. 3 remortgages and one full house purchase and not once has there been anything that he hasn’t been able to deal with in as little time as possible. Cannot recommend him enough.

GoogleWe were very impressed with the service that Rook Matthews Sayer Morpeth Branch provided us. All staff were friendly and efficient throughout our dealings with them. The thing that most impressed us was the fact that we were kept continuously well informed all through the process of buying our home. There were regular check-ins to update us on how things were progressing. We would highly recommend Rook Matthews Sayer and should we ever decide to move house again we would not hesitate to use them again. Great experience. Big thank you to all staff involved

Very disappointing service, overpromised and under-delivered. We had to chase; calls weren't returned and had to be chased. They told us differing things at different times, e.g. first, our buyers had their mortgage, then they came in the following week to discuss mortgages, then something different two weeks later. I have raised level of service several times but feel fobbed off and was told it's normal conveyancing.When we raised concerns we have been told "David Jones should have been more on hand to assist with this, however as David is out of the office most of the time it would be impossible for him to do this".

As you can see, we take great pride in the customer service we provide, which is reflected in our 4.8 rating here. We take all feedback seriously and because of this we have looked into this further so we could ensure we fully understood the situation before forming our response. From our database we can see that we sold this property within 2 days of it joining the market and there after see regular contact between yourself and our Sales Progressor in branch, who updated you on each stage of conveyancing when they had new information from your solicitor. Your buyers had a mortgage in principle, they then came in after to choose their product and again to choose a better rate. All of which our team informed you of when it happened. We are sorry you felt there was a lack of communication on our part, however we do our best to retrieve updates from both solicitors to inform each party of any changes in the conveyancing stage and we hope you can understand that some solicitors are easier to get a hold of than others.Kind Regards,RMS

I would say most people buying/selling homes find it very stressful, a very long process from start to finish.RMS Gosforth made a good impression on me from day one. I was welcomed into the branch to complete my registration forms. Eve made me feel at ease from the first day.I started getting viewings through for my property almost the next day, I dealt with Richard for my bookings who again was a pleasure to deal with.Once I accepted an offer I then got moved to Natalie who looked after me until completion today. Natalie is efficient and excellent in what she does trying to keep communication with all parties going, it is such a stressful time so having someone like Natalie keeping you informed ever step of the way is what everyone needs. (everyone needs a Natalie) !!!!I did speak to others in the Gosforth branch who again were super helpful sorry I can't remember everyone's names.If you are thinking of selling/buying then RMS Gosforth are the people to use.Thank you Natalie for getting my property over the line.

Alistair Bowman went above and beyond when it came to finding and securing our mortgage.The level of communication and advice on offer was second to non!Alistair and Firoza liaised with our solicitors to ensure our house purchase was on track and helped us navigate through the whole process. My partner and I are first time buyers and were recommended Alistair Bowman as our mortgage advisor by a close friend. Alistair exceeded our expectations. As first time buyers we did not know what to expect and Alistair talked us through every step of the process, ensuring we had all of the information required to make decisions whilst reducing our stress levels massively. It was not an easy process and we had to renegotiate our agreed sale price due to property valuation. Alistair liaised with the estate agents on our behalf as part of the renegotiation process and we do not feel we would have been able to secure our property without his knowledge and support. Alistair is extremely professional, knowledgeable and an all round lovely person. We would highly recommend his services and will continue to seek support from Alistair when remortgaging in the future.

I've used RMS previously for mortgage services, specifically working with Alistair, so when it came to my latest remortgage, I didn't hesitate to get back in touch. What I had originally hoped would be a mortgage for a house move unfortunately became a remortgage on my existing property. However, Alistair guided me through the entire process from start to finish, providing clear advice and helping me secure a product at the best possible rate. Alistair consistently goes above and beyond for his clients, particularly in challenging market conditions where lenders can withdraw mortgage products faster than applications can be submitted. His knowledge, responsiveness, and commitment made a potentially stressful situation much easier to navigate. I wouldn't hesitate to use RMS and Alistair again in the future, whether that's for my next remortgage or when the time comes to attempt a move again. Highly recommended.

We had a retirement flat to sell. Anyone who knows the mess the retirement home sector is in currently would understand how appreciative we are that Rook Matthews Sayer got us a sale over a very reasonable time-frame at a price very close to the figure at which we originally marketed the flat. We were happy how RMS presented the flat on their sales particulars. Communication was good and RMS have excellent sales staff. RMS made a good number of viewings and found us a buyer. We’ve just completed. For this we’re extremely grateful.

Lisa took over and helped me achieve asking price only a week later. Thereafter, Suzanne was instrumental in keeping the large chain together and securing our dream home. Fully supported all the way through by Alister at rook matthews sayer right from securing a mortgage in principle certificate through too making an accepted offer and completion, we felt supported with all the advice we required... such as mortgage rates/insurances/time frames and explaing the processes...We were well communicated in every acsepct of purchasing a property and securing a second mortgage on our current home. I would 100% recommend Alister as a mortgage advisor, he has helped us so much through what can be a really stressful time, we couldn't thank him enough for all his hard work!

If you're looking for a mortgage advisor, look no further than Neil Walton at the Gosforth Rook Matthews Sayers branch! He is absolutely fantastic in all areas of the job, from advice about anything and everything (which was perfect for me as a first time buyer!) to chasing solicitors. Neil is great at answering the phone and emails - you're never left waiting ages for responses. I've never not had a call returned or email responded to by him. On top of his exceptional service, he is the nicest guy you can ever meet and no task is too big or too small for him.
