If I could leave minus stars I really would, same goes for the recommended in house solicitors R A W Clark in Morpeth. I listed my house with Pattinsons Ashington in June 2022. I accepted my first buyers offer in August 2022. He was buying the property to rent and was highly a recommended customer from Pattinsons. However, my buyer’s solicitor established there was an issue with my garage deeds. Turns out I didn’t actually own my garage (news to me). This led to lots of complications with the sale. R A W Clark did not act in a timely matter to try and resolve this issue. Which lead to my buyers mortgage in principle quickly coming to an end in the meantime (baring in mind I was told by Pattinsons that he was a cash buyer). My buyer decided to continue with the sale without the garage in January 2023, as long as I completely moved out in 1.5 days time. It was highly recommend by both Pattinsons and R A W Clark that I follow these instructions (despite not signing any contracts). It was very stressful and last minute but I managed and moved in with my partner. On the day I was meant to be handing over the keys I heard absolutely nothing. I was constantly phoning for updates, 6 days later I found out he pulled out of the sale.We re-listed my house following this. I provided Pattinsons strict instructions that for the next sale I am selling the house only, given I do not actually own the garage and I didn’t want another sale to fall through because of it. I was told the garage would be taken off the advertisement and any viewers would not be told anything about a garage. I spoke to several different staff from Pattinsons regarding this in order to reiterate the importance. I accepted another offer a few weeks later. A month or so afterwards, I was informed that my buyer didn’t even have a current mortgage in principle. I was patient and allowed about another month for them to get one. All seemed to be going ok until about May 2023, when my buyers solicitor began asking questions about the missing garage deeds. This was very confusing to me as I was under the impression my buyer was happy with the agreement of me selling the house only. Turns out the garage was never taken off the Pattinsons advertisement, my buyer was promised the garage with the sale and he was even offered to look around the garage when he viewed my house. Once my buyer found out from myself that the garage isn’t actually included in the sale, he ultimately pulled out. At this point I put an official complaint in (still to this day I have never heard back from).It is now June-July 2023. It’s been 1 year up for sale with Pattinsons. I am feeling pretty desperate and very stressed. I decide to go down the auction route with Pattinsons. I receive a phone call telling me the house is now live on auction. I checked the auction page and it looked like my house had received a bid for a price I would be very happy with. I phoned to confirm this, to be told it was an error on the system. I checked the right move advertisement to see what that now looks like with it being an auction sale. Within the advertisement there was no mention of the house being up for auction. It was the exact same advertisement as previous, except, the price of my house had been reduced by £25K that day. Immediately I phoned to pull out of the auction and leave Pattinsons because at this point they have completely tarnished my house advert. That advert remains on the internet history and will always be there, which has effectively now devalued my house significantly.I look back and I am filled with regret that I stayed with Pattinsons for so long. The stress, the money I have lost still paying all my house bills since January when I no longer live there. The money I lost with how much they devalued my house with their mistakes. I have since moved estate agents and have managed to secure an offer I am happy with, from a buyer with no chain and mortgage in principle in place (within 2 days of my house being advertised). I really hope people read this and think twice before listing with Pattinsons.

They have moved tennants next door to us that are smoking weed blatently in the garden and house while there two kids run riot all day every day,we can’t relax in our own house for the constant banging as they leave the kids downstairs on there own all day while they have sex upstairs that our 14 year old has to listen too,different men coming in and out of her house all times of day and night.We have spoken to pattinsons who have basically said they can’t do anything about it.pattinsons peterlee are an absolute joke if this is the type of people they are happy to move into there properties.It says everything about the company.

I really couldn't have asked for a better service from Wendy at Pattinsons. There were a few bumps along the way which were out of her hands but she consistently chased and provided me with daily updates. Communication was excellent and made me feel at ease when I couldn't get answers from anyone else. Very polite and friendly too - would 100% recommend!!

if i could leave zero stars i would, they are happy to take your money but absolutely no consistency even taking all the rent one month and didn't even tell me why until it was too late, unset my tenant on multiple occasions, sent me pictures of work that needed doing but not even my house, if you're a landlord do yourself a favour and avoid PATTINESON AT ALL COST THEY ARE WORSE THAN USELESS

Called them out to have a valuation of the house, the lady apparently want to have a quick sale of our house, she give a price of 220k later On we find out the worst area and a lot smaller house sold price are all above 250k, while we are in the best areas and our house is twice the size, avoid this company they rip you off first before you put on market What’s the point using them,scammers

Awful company for tenants. The issues I had with this company are too many to mention The highlights are having a delayed move in date. Moving into a filthy home that hadn’t been cleaned. Living with leaks and holes in the ceilings that were not repairs for months. And when they were repaired … it was like they were repaired by cowboys. Such as using gloss paint to patch up a ceiling so it stood out. Finding out I had 2 months notice from the sold sign outside my home. To taking 5 weeks to return a deposit and illegally hanging onto it. The company lack any focus on tenants and quality and desire to resolve issues. Please avoid them. My like has dramatically improved now I know I never have to have any contact with them.

Friendly, professional service.We chose Pattisons for the sale of our house as we had our eye on one of theirs to purchase, fees were competitive and loved how the house featured on all house apps and web platforms. House sold within 2 weeks and offer accepted on purchase soon after. No complaints for the estate agents and Dean was monumental in ensuring the sale complete and both my buyer and onward purchase ran smoothly.The only gripe I have is with the solicitor that was recommended, Bideman solicitors acted on my behalf for both sale and purchase and they were truly terrible. Had taken on more work then they could manage with emails and phone calls being missed or not replied to for weeks… I would definitely use Pattisons again should we move but will definitely be finding our own solicitors. Huge thanks to Dean and team for all their hard work and efforts in these uncertain times! ⭐️

Prior to bidding, all prospective buyers are advised to carry out their own due diligence and ensure they are comfortable with the process and terms before placing a bid, as doing so enters them into a legally binding contract. Any funds relating to reservation fees and deposit liability are clearly outlined within the auction terms and conditions, which all bidders are required to review and accept prior to participating. Once the property has exchanged, any matters relating to failure to pay or complete fall between the buyer and the seller, with our role being to facilitate the auction process on behalf of the vendor. We can also confirm that this matter was previously reviewed and addressed prior to this review being posted. While we regret that you remain unhappy with the outcome, we must highlight that the process followed was in line with the legally binding contract and terms that were accepted at the point of exchange. We appreciate your feedback and wish you the best moving forward.

What a difference 18 months make. After a recent incredibly poorly managed auction by the Blyth branch I no longer trust this company to carry out a fair and transparent transaction. Moving auction dates, giving no time for the legal pack to be checked, allowing other bidders to drop out at the last minute, and allowing lower bid increments than listed in their T&C’s. It’s all very suspicious and it’s not the kind of business I want to be dealing with. If (and it’s a very big if) I purchase any further properties through Pattinsons it will be via head office not the branch. *** Previous review from Jan 2020 ***We have bought a number of properties from Pattinsons over the years and their service just keeps getting better. Our latest one with the Blyth branch was a breeze. It was an auction property we bought before auction, and unlike some others we looked at had reasonable fees attached to it. Caroline was an absolute pleasure to work with and Terri holds the Crown as my favourite estate agent. Keep up the good work guys. We will be back for more!
