Very unprofessional

Very unprofessional, told us our offer was agreed and vendor was happy and property would have no more viewings and then suddenly they said they had a higher offer. Depends who you speak to, some staff seem very inexperienced. Must be one of the only estate agents who allow viewings once an offer has been accepted. However when I went to buy a property they wouldn't let me view as they said the offer had been accepted, so contradicting themselves, even when I tried to explain this, no apology just said this was usual practise!!!

Seller beware! Can't sell if people can't view

I'm a prospective cash buyer trying to arrange viewings on 2 properties up for sale with Pattinson's. They promised a call back last week to sort out some viewings but never did. When I called back today for an update, the person trying to transfer my call didn't realise that I could hear what was being said - the person on the other end couldn't be bothered to take the call and argued loudly with the first person - I could hear it all!! And when she told me she was "having difficultly transferring" so the other person would phone me back directly, what a surprise - still no call back hours later! So unprofessional. So what sort of service are they actually providing to sellers? It's not surprising to me now that the properties have been on the market for many months unsold - not just market conditions with that sort of response.In this case, I guess it's a case of SELLER beware rather than buyer beware!

What a waste of time.

What a waste of time.I had an agreement with them to pay a tenancy upfront , then they said it would be better to pay monthly as long as I had a guarantor. So after going through the whole referencing process and obtaining a garantor .They went back on their word and asked for the full tenancy which after the agreement of monthly payments .I was not happy about this as I like to be a man of my word and after eventually agreeing as I had no other choice , was still refused .Wether down to the agents or landlord , my experience was unprofessional and untrustworthy .

From the start of the selling process Ian Robson was excellent. He put us at ease with his professionalism taking beautiful photographs and videos. He was one of four valuations and my family and I quickly realised we could trust his knowledge and understanding. Within days viewings were being booked in, followed by numerous offers. I visited the Pattinsons estate agents in whickham as I was looking for a new rental for me and my family. More than happy to recommend Pattinsons. The staff were efficient and friendly throughout and were always willing to go the extra mile. I liked that if I couldn’t get through to the stockton office the call was diverted to their call centre who would send a message. My sale got quite difficult towards the end, but Jan was exceptional in the way she managed the situation and I’m sure her determination ensured a positive result for all parties. I feel sure she must have spent half her time on my sale alone! Special mention to Danielle aswell, helpful, friendly and efficient. Well done and thank you.

Disappointing service letting flat

Disappointing service to rent out my flat. First proposed tenant had not had previous landlord references verified and was still being pushed through. Another nearly three weeks passed and another tenant found, but caused significant financial loss through their inadequate process and only offered £100 off the fee. Very disappointing and dubious referencing would make me avoid them in future.

Avoid at all costs

Very disappointed with the experience I recently received with this auction house. The agent messed up on a completion date which added unnecessary stress and anxiety on a fast turnaround closure. This particular issue took over a week to sort out. I also asked for critical information regarding the property I was buying pre sale. This was never received. I have since pulled out of the bid and it;’s cost me a lot of money for Patterson Auctions for the lack of communication and mistake. What’s more insulting is they’re not taking any responsibility for the experience I have had with them . My advise is to buy with a regular estate agent and avoid auction houses like Pattersons. I also wished I had read all the other terrible comments on Trusted Pilot first !

If there was ZERO I would give them that. It doesn't matter to them how many times you call, they take details and won't call you back. Holly and Jason both failed to call back to book a simple viewing?? Then another member of staff advised the local agency would be in touch on the same day and I received NO CALL. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME trying to get anywhere with this agency. Go elsewhere as they are way too busy to acknowledge you! Utter shambles. Missed out on 2 properties because of their shabby organisation. Never again.

Joe Sarin is a STAR!!

I recently rented a property through Pattinson’s. The guy I dealt with at the Regional Branch (Joe Sarin) was incredibly helpful. He went above and beyond to help us find a suitable property. Our situation was tricky and securing a tenancy was by no means easy. Joe was amazing! He kept in touch pretty much daily and did lots of negotiating on our behalf with our landlord. He is a very polite and friendly young man and he has even emailed a couple of times after our move to ask if everything was ok and we had settled into our new home. A+ service!
