Discriminate against non-local buyer

They allowed me to bid for a property that I couldn't view as I do not live in the area and intended to purchase the property as an investment. I was told my bid was the highest and in normal circumstances, it would have been accepted. But because I have not viewed the property in-person, it was rejected. If that's the case, why waste my time with all the researches I have done and allowed me to put a bid for the property only to tell me it would have been rejected anyway as I have not view the property in-person. To further rub salt into the wound, they emailed me more properties on sale for me to bid as if I am stupid enough to go through this agent again to have my bids on other properties to be rejected as I won't be able to view those properties in-person anyway. They should put a sign on their door, we only do business with locals.

Everything it's been a total nightmare…

Everything it's been a total nightmare dealing with them ,I've been waiting 8 weeks to view the property and still waiting for them to sort this out I ended up going to the property to find the post bow smashed off all windows open and blowing a gail through the letter box it's been empty for months and the bad weather we have had over the last several weeks what damage has this caused!!!! Ive paid over £7.000 for there fees, it's appalling, do not touch them .

I would definitely recommend Pattinsons…

I would definitely recommend Pattinsons of Stockton for the sale of your house. We had ours on the market for 2 months with many positive viewings and then we had an offer. Unfortunately this fell through at the last hurdle due to the buyer and Pattinsons had the property back on the market the next day with another offer coming in within 4 days and a successful sale followed in under 2.5 months.Thanks for your help and consistent calls to keep us fully informed every step of the way.And a special mention to Gino and the chatty one they call Mel!

Rented a house with pattinsons

Rented a house with pattinsons, after a year or so they started sending people to quote for minor or works that I didn’t ask them to do, charging me at least £60.00 each time, they did this many many times. I would receive the rent some three weeks after the tenant had paid. Cost me nearly £1000 to leave them. Best thing I ever did. Don’t go near these people. They do not look after your interests, just lining their pockets is the idea.

We bought a house for the first time in years and had a lot of questions throughout the process. Our agent Graham Nisbett from the Blyth, Northumberland branch was absolutely brilliant. He helped us with finding a solicitor and saw us through the whole process of buying. Graham regularly emailed if he had any updates to share and answered our emails promptly. It was easy to contact Graham on the phone if we needed to.If Graham was out of the office the other staff at the Blyth office were always helpful. Altogether an excellent service, I'd recommend Pattinson's Blyth to others.

Bad communication and information

Our buyer had backed out from our purchase on 22nd November 2024, which we were told by the Stockton branch that’s the purchaser was going to reinstate her solicitor on Monday this week despite our solicitor telling us on the 22nd that they had backed out. The estate agent made us wait until Friday this week (28th November) when I phoned the office before I was able to speak to her saying our solicitor had had a further letter to her enquiry on the 28th Nov to confirm our purchasers had indeed withdrawn from the purchase of our property. The purchasers solicitors could not understand why there had been a conflict of information. Why we had to hold on for another week without any explanation from the estate agent is disgusting. They even had me in the office with paperwork for two hours on Friday 22nd probably knowing at that time the purchasers had backed out! They never return a phone call. They had no communication as such with our solicitor, us or the sellers agent we were buying from. Promised phone call never returned. We had a viewing from a prospective buyer who didn’t turn up. I rang the office they said they would contact them. The buyer turned up 40 minutes late. They had no call from Pattersons to ask why they were running late or if they were attending at all even after they had been with us for an hour nothing by way of communication.

Wendy Burbridge an absolute star 🌟

We decided to downsize early last year and after having a sale agreed Wendy took over to see the sale over the line. It ended up a long journey with lots of bumps in the road. Without Wendy this journey would have been near impossible to manage, she liased with the other estate agent (who put us under a lot of pressure over things out of our control) and a solicitor who often went off the radar!. Wendy is a credit to not just to Pattinsons but her profession and both Ann and Adrian would like to say the biggest thank you.

Online auction is simply scam

Online auction process is simply a scam to rob both seller and buyers.They advertise online auctions as an attractive free method of sale for the sellers and charge buyers ridiculous amount of 6% of sale price, the money that could go to seller's pocket instead of Pattison's. I asked them to relay to the seller that I am happy to pay extra 6% towards house if they agree not to go through auction, but apparently they didn't forward the message.

Gosforth BranchAfter using another agency and having a lot of false starts, I asked Pattinsons for an appraisal of my home with a view to have them represent the sale of my property.I asked them because during the search for my next home, their staff worked their socks off on any viewing I made through them, they always kept in touch after viewings and they always phoned you the minute there was a price change.Susan, the Branch Manager, arrived at my home and was totally professional and told me that my home wouldn't be hard to sell, so I trusted her word and signed them up.I sold on the first viewing to a cash buyer that Natalie had known was looking for a house in my postcode area. She contacted the buyer to initiate a viewing. Natalie then arranged the viewing, kept in touch with me and the buyer at all stages and never let me down with advice and guidance throughout the entire process.Natalie is a real inspiration at Pattinson's and she got the sale that enabled me to be a cash buyer and purchase my forever home to retire to.A big shout out to Keri too at the branch who was always helpful and courteous.

I had great help from Pattinsons, initially in selling my property,their branch at the West Road were first class and I had plenty of viewings from day one.Then during the sale of my property and purchase of my new home I had problems with the solicitor I had been allocated.Wendy,Pattinsons Sales Progressor could not have been more helpful during this time. She kept contacting this solicitor for the information I was not receiving and kept me informed .I could not thank her enough for her assistance during this time.

Absolutely diabolical service to say…

Absolutely diabolical service to say the least. They only call and respond when they are due their fees, and after that not a single peep from them. I have been calling, emailing the agent and online via the portal and not a single person responds. They are highly rude to my solicitors and to her team. I would avoid at all costs as their professionalism does not exist and for the sum of the auction fees, it's an embarrassment. Save yourselves from this experience!!!

Avoid their auctionThis morning, I was bidding for the small piece of land to use for our not-for-profit organisation Soham London CIC, which provides well-being through Yoga and Meditation.The land is a small piece of 0.054 acres in windsor.We won the audition for £3000 and am happy with it. We are happy to buy the property.We were aware that the buyer fee is 5% and all is good to pay.But, it came as a surprise and shock that the buyer fee is a minimum of £5000 + VAT.It does not make sense to me to pay double the amount of land price.This is a hefty amount for us being a not-for-profit organization helping the community.They want to pay all the buyer fees and deposit the same day by 4.30 pm and not very helpful by the person Tom Pattison.

Recently used Pattisons Auctions for a…

Recently used Pattisons Auctions for a property I was trying to move on. Eventually received a number of bids that took the price over the minimum asking and once the hammer went down I was reassured that they property was then legally sold and contracts exchanged! After a number of days without receiving much information I was told that my ‘buyer’ had not even paid the deposit but not to worry as this would not delay completion! The 28 days passed, I moved my business out and still no completion. They told me that I was entitled to sue the buyer for the deposit and all legal fees, and they were suing them for their £6k plus auction fees but they were unable to assist me in this! They also to date have never personally given me any information as to who the buyer was including address etc! They will only pass this onto a Solicitor but I believe I don’t actually need a Solicitor to sue somebody. I have found everyone at this company very unprofessional and extremely unhelpful and I would certainly never recommend anyone uses them! They have caused me great expense and stress! Please avoid at all costs!

Now had two negative experiences first…

Now had two negative experiences first they put a property on the website I rang within an hour of seeing it to be told the renter had bought it. Why put it on the website if this is the case.Secondly had a viewing booked at a property at 10am today to be rang at 9am to say it was cancelled and that the property had sold. Not given any opportunity to bring the viewing forward only gave one other option to view which we couldn’t make. I am now reluctant to look at any property which pattinsons are marketing.

Quick and easy selling process

The whole process of selling the house was made very straightforward by the very competent and helpful staff at Pattinsons. Clear explanation of their services at valuation time and ongoing advice and support throughout the process. This company have a lot of prospective buyers on their books so the house sold quickly. Viewings were organised and accompanied by Pattinson staff as the house was empty so we were not inconvenienced. Staff at the office, particularly Geno, were always helpful if I had queries and kept us informed of any updates. I would certainly use them again if selling another house

This company is a complete disaster and…

This company is a complete disaster and are heartless, avoid at all cost! They deceived me into moving into a mould infested house, they painted it so that I wouldn't know. Few days after moving in, the mould started showing, I snapped pictures and even did a video to them, I had two toddlers at home who were reacting to this mould, even my hubby kept sneezing. We had to leave since they couldn't do anything about it. Aside the mould, we met so many rubbish in the garden, attic and behind the fence, apparently the last tenant dropped all those things, they made no attempt to remove them, I still spent £500 to throw away the rubbish. Now they have refused to return my withholding deposit, this is just sheer wickedness. Avoid this company at all cost😡😡😡😡

Avoid using any solicitors recommend by Pattisons!

I had a horrendous experience with Bridgeview Law, specifically with Ryan Kelly, the so-called "Junior Conveyancer." This firm is a complete disaster, and I urge everyone to steer clear!They picked up my case just before the completion date and sent the TR1 form less than 24 hours before the complaint date, expecting it to be signed and returned in time. They didn't even request a redemption statement from my lenders until AFTER the original completion date! I've called and emailed them countless times, but they completely ignored me.To top it off, they moved forward with the completion without any warning, claiming on the day that they were looking to complete. This was despite their prior promise that it would only take a week from the original date. They completely ruined my holiday by missing the deadline!The original completion date was supposed to be through Pattisons Auction on 22/08/24, but they finally completed on 9/9/24. Now, I'm still waiting for my funds and answers to my questions. The funds look suspiciously low, and the redemption costs seem way higher than it should be. I've raised my concerns, but once again, no response!After reading all the negative reviews, it's clear that this company is a shambles. If you want to waste your money or risk having your sale fall through, then go ahead and use them. Otherwise, do yourself a favour and avoid Bridgeview Law and Pattisons Auction like the plague!

Pattinsons are advertising an hmo( 10 students) at 10 st judes ter south shields or a man who is bankrupt and has laundered £100000 cash from trafficking immigrants and has gained the hmo licence in a fake name using a fake passport. Patt know the business is not legimate or registered with companies house or hmrc yet they are still advertising his hmo which he does not own on paper .He has police protection as he is the head of the mosque at south shieldsThis company helps people launder money which is a disgrace
