Glebe house trecastle I purchased a property through Paul Fosh auctions. Unfortunately I was unable to internally view the property due to a break down with my transport but had viewed it externally.  The property was originally two separate terrace houses that had been converted in to one large one.  It had now been converted back into two again.  Below both properties there was a garage and storage room.  In the advert for glebe house the pictures showed the garage and in the video it showed the storage area so one would assume my property owned both as the advert for the neighbouring property which was also sold at auction the previous month didn't show either. So after kind of unexpectedly placing the winning bid I emailed Paul Fosh for clarification. I also wanted clarification regarding the advert stating there was a kitchen and bathroom as there were no pictures of either only a picture of a toilet. This was the response received. Hello I have had a response from the seller, Hello; there are no pictures in the advertisement that shouldn’t be in there. There was 1 of the basement which was changed prior to the  auction starting. That was the only one. There is no physical kitchen in there but there is a room where the old kitchen was. If he had come to view the property and looked at the video he will see there is no actual kitchen there. The pictures on the listing is correct I have re checked. That's all the pictures I have to be able to give to him. Thanks Sean Anyway this didn't deter me as I wanted the property and was aware it needed a full refurb. On the day of completion I had to collect the keys from their office which was an hour and a half drive from me. Once there I was handed what looked like a set of padlock keys that were all duplicates of the same key. I asked the question are these the only keys as there should be keys for the front door and keys for the garage only to be told these are the only keys we have.  I decided to drive another hour and fifteen minutes to go a view the property once there I established the keys I was given only fit the padlock for the garage and there was a key safe on the front door.  I rang Paul Fosh for the code only to be told they didn't have the code and will have to contact the seller for the code.  As I live an hour and a half away from the property I thought I'll take the dog for a walk until they get back to me with the code.  After an hour I decided to head home thinking I'll return the following day and cut the key safe off.  Ten minutes from arriving back home I received an email with the code. Feel free to check the description, pictures and videos on the Paul Fosh site I wouldn't advise against dealing with this company and if you really have to check the descriptions and photos for misrepresentation. Not in the slightest bit professional or helpful.

Turned up for at 11:50 for a 12:00pm viewing of an auction lot Flat 6, although on the details it could have been fiat 1 or fiat 6. Looked on their given email link which just showed the street. As the street is full of shops and flats, I walked up and down it looking for the flat. I then waited til 12:05 at the top of the street so that I could see if an agent turned up. Nothing by 12:05, so started walking up & down to see if I could see anything again. Knocked on a few doors & went into a few shops to ask but no one had a clue of where this Flat was. Phoned Paul Fosh agents to be told it's Flat 6 but couldn't give me any information on how to get to it, so I wandered again. Still nothing, so I phoned again to have the phone put down on me. Phoned again to be told I needed to go a car park at the back of the flats. Asked where that was, again no idea & no offer for the agent to come out to find me. Wandered again, found a car park, no idea if it was the right one but there was no way out of the car park except through the main entrance anyway. I tried a few more gates/doors and then gave up. Perhaps, if it is a difficult place to find, give a few more details if how to get to it or at least arrange a meeting place or for the agent to come outside! Very, very lacking & unhelpful!

From start to finish the process of buying a property at auction with Paul Fosh has been really seamless. Once the catalogue is live, viewing the properties via 3D virtual tour view is great. I selected the properties I wanted to view, and was able to book 12 viewings online. Everything is automated and confirmations happen instantly. With the viewings themselves, a member of the team meets you at the property and takes your details. At the viewings I attended, Olivia Williams seemed to be the member of staff conducting them in the areas I was looking at. She was really helpful. Its the first time I have bought at auction and she gave me lots of really helpful information about the process. It really helped me understand what would happen on the day. She is a credit to the team. After 3 days of viewings I received a call from Nick Blight (Head of Lettings), out of work hours, giving me information regarding the potential rental incomes for each of the properties I was interested in. Great service! The day of the auction couldn't have gone better either. I won my first choice property for the price I wanted it at. As soon as I was confirmed the winner, I received an email from the team telling me the next steps and the balance of payment due. This is the first time I have purchased at auction, but I wouldn't hesitate to use Paul Fosh again or recommend them if anyone was thinking of buying at auction. Can't wait to pick up the keys and get started now. Thank you to everyone at Paul Fosh for making this process so seamless and enjoyable.

We arrived at a hasty decision to move not just house but country, having viewed & purchased a villa in Cyrprus in March we were really unsure how to proceed. We didn't want to spend months with the house on the open market, sales falling through and the prospect of keeping an unoccuped house heated through winter. Nor did we want viewers trooping through the house whilst we were living in it and, packing the things up which we were shipping to Cyprus. So auction via Paul Fosh was the natural choice. Angie visited the house and gave us her thoughts on price which we readily agreed with. We arranged with Angie that we would post her the house keys when we left UK in May and she would then get photo's and a video done ready for auction in August. Sales documents we needed to sign was all done digitally no need to visit the office or print/sign/scan/email documents, very slick indeed. We had the pleasure of watching the online auction and the sale of our house. We found it a very positive experience, we had good communication with Angie and the team and we are so pleased we made what was for us the right choice of how we sold the house.

I have ,recently… yesterday in fact, sold a property via Paul Fosh Auctions. During this process, which was new for me, as it was an on line auction I was massively impressed by both Sean Roper who visited the property and took the photos and had the necessary chat regarding the reserve and potential sale price that we could, realistically, hope to achieve. His accuracy was uncanny or incredibly knowledgable. I think the latter. I have previously both bought and sold with Paul Fosh Auctions but in the old fashioned way where you attend and stick your hand in the air to bid . My apprehension was completely unfounded as Gemma made every step so easy. I’m not skilled with computers but I managed it without any of my normal cold sweats. I can wholeheartedly recommend Paul Fosh and his super team and especially Sean and Gemma who have made the whole experience painless and successful. A full 5 star review definitely deserved. Paul Fosh are a great firm to do business with. I have bought and sold property with Paul Fosh for many years. They give instant realistic assessment of property values. Sean Roper was with us the next working day when we told them we wanted to sell a property. He arranged for it to go into the next sale and within literally weeks the property was sold and it went for way over the reserve price. Gemma in the office is equally efficient and has her finger on the pulse and is very professional. She keeps you fully informed and ensures that all paperwork is in place in good time. The photographer and video cameraman was also very flexible and did a great job. The website is very easy to navigate and in the lead up to the sale they send you a statistical breakdown of the level of interest. It is exiting at the end, a bit like cheering on a winner at the Grand National. To cap it all I had a phone call from Mr Paul Fosh just before the sale started wishing me luck. Honestly the worst experience I have ever had with the letting company. Went to a viewing then got told I can’t just ask to rent the property I’ll have to wait to be informed they’ll call me if my application is taken further. I never got a call back so thought I’d ask, got told I don’t have a big enough income so they weren’t gonna progress. I asked why waste my time you would have known this before I went to the viewing as they asked for all GDPR info such as income. In response I got told sorry that’s just how it is before the woman just hung up. I’ve never been more disappointed, this lack of communication and rude customer service. I honestly feel disrespected by the Paul Fosh group and this poor process.
