I wouldn’t recommend them personally. The People who answer the phone are lovely but the property group is joke. Signed my contract on the 10th but didn’t actually get my keys until the 18th. I phoned them 10 times to find out where my key was for the house. Kept getting told I would get a call back. I never got any communication back until the 18th which was by text. When I did eventually get a key, I thought I had the wrong one, I contacted them a further 4 times to try and help resolve this matter but was ignored again. I had to get a colleague of mine to message them for me. (I was given the correct key, I was just using the wrong one) one of the employees did come out and check the keys after hours, which I do appreciate. However, this issue had been raised at 07:20 in the morning and took over 12 hours to rectify. Communication in this company is atrocious. I asked them to extend the contract as I wasn’t able access my room for 8 days. I explained my situation to them and I was pretty much told I was lying about the situation. I replied with screenshots and evidence. This was further ignored. They are quick to message or call if they want something. But won’t answer you if you need something. I don’t usually leave bad reviews. But I am just appalled with the service.

My 1 star review reason being is that I don't trust this letting agency now I am at a HMO they had there cleaner to unlock my room door and open it not happy WHY why did they have a key where did get the key from certainly not from key safe in house I was in the room at the time laying on my bed ear phones on eyes closed listening to music I mean could have doing anything in that room could have had a partner in here just unprofessional really is so get out ASAP get some better letting agency this is my review room 1 Ringland HMO

I cannot begin to express the amazing service I experienced with the property company. I just got a job in Wales and had to move on short notice. I contacted them and within a space of 3 days secured an accommodation. Honestly, all thanks to the phenomenal agent, Dave B., that man is a lifesaver. Wasted my time and never contacted. Once I turned to Facebook they commented to say they didn’t contact due to how I spoke to the tele handler. I can assure you I will be getting the call log to prove I was not out of line. Completely unprofessional and the fact I didn’t even receive an apology. At first I was hoping for a valid reason to why I had been stood up and perhaps another offer. Now I am glad we will not be signing a tenancy with Cwtch.

I am a doctor who is always on the move. Cwtch property has been great at working around my needs and time restrictions. Their understanding of y situation made my move in and out of the property very effortless. There were no issues about short notices or returning the deposit. Besides, the property itself is of high standard and weekly cleaning is arranged in order to reduce the stress on tenants to clean the communal areas. I will highly recommend Cwtch Property if you are looking to live in Newport.

I have had the pleasure of dealing with Cwtch Property Group twice over the last 18 months. Both times have been when my circumstances had changed and I needed to find a property quickly. On both occasions Cwtch Property Group were friendly, professional and very responsive when contacted. Moving in and out of the properties was a breeze and the paperwork side, deposit etc was handled efficiently and without any issues. Special thanks to Dave who dealt with me on both occasions, responding to any quires I had and helping with my property searches even whilst not living in one of their properties. Should I find myself needing to rent or house share again, Cwtch Property Group would be the first and only call i'd make.

Booked a viewing with Cwtch Property but no one showed up to conduct the viewing. I was waiting for about 45 minutes, I called the lettings 3 times which all 3 employees were very polite and apologised. They reached out to whoever was conducting the viewing but I had no luck. By call 3 I explained to the employee that I was leaving, 45 minuites was long enough to understand nobody was going to come nor answer the lettings emails. Later I had gotten a call to say that the agent was inside the property, I was informed previously that I would be met outside. I was only contacted after she had left the property herself. I was not offered any other viewings and felt like the finger was pointed at myself despite explaining that I was informed to wait outside. No one else informed me she was inside either, I phoned three times yet no one could get hold of this employee to inform her I was waiting outside for 45 entire minutes.

Seemed OK at the start, friendly etc but that's all changed now. I've had violent threats over the phone and I'm being constantly harassed with messages. We reported major problems with black mould months ago via an app they asked us to use and via texts to a number they provided. They done absolutely nothing for 3 months. Now I'm faced with threats of Dave entering the property at will, after having threats of physical violence. Please be very wary of these people, they're dangerous criminals.

After 6 years of letting my property out with this company, I left two months ago. At the beginning I thought they were good but in the last two years it was as if they stopped caring. I don’t know why. Zero communication. If I called, the phone went unanswered and texts ignored. I had to call them on my dads telephone otherwise they would not pick up. My last tenants were shocked that they were allowed to move in without any money changing hands. Not even a deposit. I didn’t know this until he tenant told me. My property was let out to new tenants for the same rental value as the previous year despite me specifically asking Cwtch to speak to me about raising it, before the advert went online. The final,straw was being told very casually by email that my last tenant had given notice two weeks ago and would be moving out in two weeks. I was told this in the 2nd week,of lockdown, giving me no chance of finding someone quickly. 3 months later it’s still empty. I called the office (from my dads phone) and was told they had been “too busy” to let me know. Well they will have more time now that I’ve gone to another agent. As a final insult they are ignoring my calls and text messages for me to pick up my house keys which they still have.

I had the unfortunate experience of cwtch property group taking over a property I had been letting a room from for five years, never missed a rent payment in five years until my last two months due to covid, and I have moved out abruptly as of last night due to Dave entering my room without permission. While at first they seem very professional, polite and accommodating, Dave has and will, enter your property without giving you any notice. The first time I actually arrived home, catching Dave casually shutting my bedroom door, when confronted he knew exactly what he had done, invaded my privacy by not giving me any notice, this occasion was caught on camera (Yi home camera set up), however I did not take it further as Dave assured me it would not happen again. It has just happened again yesterday and my housemate confirmed he tried to enter other rooms in the house that are occupied, do not trust these cowbows, I was very abrupt after this and rightly so, these guys have no care for your privacy. Other issues include: - Cleaners intermittent, a cleaner hasn't visited Devon place in four weeks, which is not related to covid. - Repairs aren't dealt with, the radiator has been hanging off the wall in the bathroom for 4 months. - Their ridge freezer left to rot in the garden for twelve months, resulting in tenants having to organise removal and pay for the cost of this. - Fire alarms not regularly tested, paperwork back dated to cover this up and when they are tested, only the porch is tested, I raised fire alarm issues with them last year and this has improved. - My tenancy has no Claus against pets, I adopted my brothers dog after his death end of 2019, at which point they became pushy and wanted me out, serving a "no fault eviction" during covid 19, with the wrong room number and wrong name on the paperwork, the room was mine until October 2nd, yet yesterday they felt the need to access my room without proper permission, when confronted this morning, they lie and state they have tried to contact me to see if I have moved out. Been very happy with these guys service over the last 2 years of working with them. Coming from the landlords perspective I've had no actual complaints about them as agents and they do a good job at keeping on top of issues. Being a hands on landlord I suppose I talk to the tenants myself and fix maintenance issues with my own team more than other landlords, but overall very happy with the service they provide. First thing I liked was that Dave rang me straight away to have a chat. As an experienced ex sales professional of 15 years, I can tell a pitch from a genuine desire to help, and Dave did just that.
