Peterlee Branch - Pattinsons

From a buyer's perspective Pattinson were absolutely fantastic. We viewed other properties with other estate agents and the service was nowhere near as good. So much so that if we come to sell our house Pattinsons will 100% be our choice of estate agents. The communication was amazing even down to the automated text messages. Given the level of care we received from other agents I'd assume that the lead time on house sales is longer than it would be with Pattinsons. Big thanks to Janine in the Peterlee Branch she was absolutely fantastic from start to finish!

Disappointing service letting flat

Disappointing service to rent out my flat. First proposed tenant had not had previous landlord references verified and was still being pushed through. Another nearly three weeks passed and another tenant found, but caused significant financial loss through their inadequate process and only offered £100 off the fee. Very disappointing and dubious referencing would make me avoid them in future.

Avoid at all costs

Very disappointed with the experience I recently received with this auction house. The agent messed up on a completion date which added unnecessary stress and anxiety on a fast turnaround closure. This particular issue took over a week to sort out. I also asked for critical information regarding the property I was buying pre sale. This was never received. I have since pulled out of the bid and it;’s cost me a lot of money for Patterson Auctions for the lack of communication and mistake. What’s more insulting is they’re not taking any responsibility for the experience I have had with them . My advise is to buy with a regular estate agent and avoid auction houses like Pattersons. I also wished I had read all the other terrible comments on Trusted Pilot first !

We contacted Pattinson by telephone one evening, to view a house for sale, Mark dealt with our purchase, he was very helpful and professional. Communication was by telephone and email only. Special thanks to the Whitley Bay Branch, especially Louise and Helen, who were super helpful.We did not use Pattinson’s solicitors, but found our own local conveyancer, we would recommend this. We found our property through Pattinson Estate agents. We were very selective in our property requirements, but the Pattinson Wickham team provided us a with a wide range of property options. We were shown around these properties by Jodi, whom was very helpful and understood exactly what we were looking for in a property. She recommended the property that we now live in. Overall, the process has been very smooth, and much of this is down to the great work of the team. In particular Joe in the office, whom has been very helpful in answering all of our questions, and communicating with both us and the landlords throughout this process. Only to recommend!

0 stars if I could. Never known such incompetence. Went to view a flat, met the estate agent there but could not get into the flat. She did not have the keys as she thought somebody was living there. Not a great first impression. Rescheduled to the next day. I rang the next day to ask if I could do the viewing a bit earlier (thank God I did), they tell me there has been no booking made and that they do not have the keys for the flat. How an estate agents can be so unorganised as their only job is to let people in properties and they have failed to do this so miserably is beyond me. They call back saying a colleague had rang me in the morning and had a conversation with me about cancelling the viewing and rescheduling to Saturday (which never happened). To have the absolute cheek to bare face lie is ridiculous! Completely put off. Will never rent a property through Pattinson Estate Agents in Gosforth, Newcastle.

Was sceptical about proceeding with this type of purchase (modern auction) but speaking to Carl Richardson put me at ease. Unfortunately his knowledge was not extensive enough, at best, and as a result it cost us thousands of unexpected costs.Would not use this process again. Please be careful.

If there was ZERO I would give them…

If there was ZERO I would give them that. It doesn't matter to them how many times you call, they take details and won't call you back. Holly and Jason both failed to call back to book a simple viewing?? Then another member of staff advised the local agency would be in touch on the same day and I received NO CALL. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME trying to get anywhere with this agency. Go elsewhere as they are way too busy to acknowledge you! Utter shambles. Missed out on 2 properties because of their shabby organisation. Never again.

Dealt with the Alnwick Office. We were met punctually at the property by a very pleasant and helpful young lady; Charlie Jefferson. She guided us around the property, answered any questions we had. She was full of advice around the purchase and her brilliant people skills made the whole process a pleasant experience, stress free. Thanks Charlie a joy to meet someone so affable, good with 'us old folks', nothing a bother......You are a credit to any employer. I must be truthfull and say I had no faith in Estate agents.this was from previous dealings with other local companies.I tried the we but any house .com rogues and came acrossRichard Brough who was appointed by one of the rogues to survey and value my property.I found Richard to be very open and honest from the outset.When it fell through gave Richard a ring and asked him for some advice to put my house up for sale.Again he was very open and we arranged for him to sell for us.I have spoke to the Sunderland Office on many occasion's since the house went up for sale for various things from viewings to offers etc and the agent I have dealt with Beth Curtis is a creditto your business everything I have asked for she has been very professional and gave me the right advice or indeed got me the answers I needed and in quick time at that.She has kept me up to speed going over and above the service I was expecting and even providing me with information that my solicitor could not.I would have no problem of recommending her for a job in my industry if it ever came to that as I believe she is an absolute credit to her profession and has restored my faith in estate agentespecially if you pick the right one.in Pattinson Sunderland with Richard and Beth my house was on the market for 1 week before offers to view came tumbling in and I am going to say within 2 weeks we had a buyer.keep up the good work at Pattinsons estate agents Sunderlandand thanks for all your help and advice

What a fantastic buying experience I've had with Pattinson Estate Agents in Whickham. From start to finish, they were professional, prompt and very personable. I called up in January 2019 to view a house for sale with Pattinson, I spoke with Jodi Gooch, who was so lovely. She arranged a viewing for us immediately, she took my information and called me back within the agreed timescales she set out. Jodi was a fantastic member of staff and I was so happy with the service she provided, from putting in the offer, to completion of the sale. Joe Sarin is a STAR!!

I recently rented a property through Pattinson’s. The guy I dealt with at the Regional Branch (Joe Sarin) was incredibly helpful. He went above and beyond to help us find a suitable property. Our situation was tricky and securing a tenancy was by no means easy. Joe was amazing! He kept in touch pretty much daily and did lots of negotiating on our behalf with our landlord. He is a very polite and friendly young man and he has even emailed a couple of times after our move to ask if everything was ok and we had settled into our new home. A+ service!

Awful company do not buy from them

Awful company, don't trust them to buy through. Had an offer Accepted by vendors but they pressed them weeks down the line to take another viewing after we were all sale agreed and now we've been gazumped. Don't use this company to buy from. Lost £600 on fees and searches with less than 2 months to find another house or were homeless.Ashington branch.

I gave one star only because I couldn't give you zero. Terrible estate agents and by far the worse I've ever dealt with. So I had no guarantor but was told there was still a chance I could ger it without one. So I travelled all the way from Newcastle to grange villa only for the estate agent to forget the keys to the property so I rearranged all other appointments in newcastle in order to get a viewing at a later time which I got. Then I was told I need a guarantor. So basically I spent the last of my money to get there. I was lied to amd then to top it all of when they where emailed asking why they lied to me they stopped replying to me so like I said they don't even deserve one star. Nothing but badness with this company.

Lyndsay Whickam - Fantastic service

As a first time buyer and not understanding the process in the slightest Lyndsay was clear with each stage, always positive and followed up on calls and emails. VERY POOR SERVICE AND LACK OF COMMUNICATION

The level of service expected by Pattinson is not fulfilled. first week of our moving in the water leak happened in our sink and they took 5 days to fix that .. now it's the misinformation about the electricity supplier from Pattinson that our power went off couple of days back . We misunderstood it with the fuse and waited for maintenance team to fix it . called the maintenence dept after a long struggle to get connected and many number of calls and call diverts we got connected with Bob who couldn't make it yesterday but came today morning (12 /09/2022)told us that it's meter issue and previous tenant had left 1.2 pounds balance and that's why we have been cut off . Pattinson had not shared us with these details of current provider or any other information . A company called tenant shop contacted us and told that Pattinson's have not shared the current provider details but told us once they share they ll fix the account with energy provider. Now it's down that we are living without power for 2 days now .. It's very unpleasant experience .. they neither gave us the number of the maintenance person to contact and their emergency contact is unavailable. Pattinson is good in other areas. but with us it's very poor service ..Bob showed up today and has helped us with finding the energy provider . dlNot sure how long it would take to bring back power . Wish Pattinson's had told us these things before hand so we could have had power by now

I have been trying to sell my aunts

I have been trying to sell my aunts flat following her death. It has been difficult as I live nearly 300 miles away. Adam Stewart and his team at the North Shields office made it easy for me organising viewings keeping me updated and when we found a buyer put me in touch with a local solicitor and taking the final meter readings for me. Offered on a house, outbid, increased offer had the offer accepted, absolutely delighted, then informed the next day a higher offer had Been accepted and no more offers were Been considered,so I wasn't even offered to increase my offer. What I can't believe is why the sellers were not told an offer had Been accepted, I've offered on numerous homes to be told, sorry we have accepted an offer over the weekend for that property, when I rose a complaint, i spoke to the manager then the sales director and NOT ONE of them apologised for the distress and inconvenience caused. A prime example of there customer service. Shocking
