GoogleEstate agents to me are someone who sells you or rents to you property, that’s it. But not when booking with Edlin and Jarvis, having failed to find accommodation we walked in with no hope left. Not only did the wonderful staff help us find the perfect accommodation, walk us there and show us round, but they were immensely polite, helpful and most importantly genuinely interested in us and helping us. One staff member went out of their way to help us find a laundry machine when we were in dire need, and that’s what makes this estate agents different. The staff are what make a business and with edlin and Jarvis I can only assume the staff love their jobs. It is not just nice but enjoyable to chat to and deal with them. Thank you to all of the wonderful staff over there, it lovely to be working with you we look forward to the next year or more! GoogleAstonished that I had to wait nearly a week to do a viewing as they only do viewings during office hours. This actually caused me to lose the sale to another offer... When I did a drive by of the property I actually thought it was sold because the for sale board had not been updated...
Unfortunately our sellers went with another offer because they were in a better position as they had no chain. It wasn't about the money for our client but the best position. As an estate agent we can not influence our clients, only state the facts and figures and it is their choice of who they choose. Whether you viewed on a Sunday or Thursday it wouldn't of mattered as you didn't lose out because of when you viewed the property. We do evening viewings but as you can imagine these get booked very quickly and we didn't have any availability for an evening viewing when you called. Our seller wanted all the viewings to go ahead before accepting any offers due to the level of interest. This meaning everybody that enquired had an opportunity to view and make an offer as you did. As you are aware as I have stated on an email a sale had fallen through on this property and the sold sign was instructed straight away, however all agents use a board contractor who works for lots of other agents and have a 72 hour turn around meaning there would be a delay from when the property went back onto the market and when the sold sign would be removed. I do sympathise that you didn't get the property you wanted and we are more than happy to help you find another suitable home.

GoogleSold 2 bed cottage - Completion: December 2020. Highly recommended. From our initial contact with Marie, The Edlin & Jarvis team provided an excellent service right through to completion. Once the property was on the market, we had a named point of contact (in our case, Becca) who was pro-active and always happy to deal with queries and concerns - she also made sure we had other informed contacts for when she wasn't around. GoogleFantastic letting service! Edlin & Jarvis have now done for Lettings what they did for Sales- bring some SERVICE, VALUE and INTEGRITY to an industry sorely in need of it! I have had rentals for over 15 years and have reluctantly used letting agents in the past because of such poor service both to me and the tenant. When Alex took on my property the tenants had not paid rent for 3 months and were not engaging with me at all. Within weeks Alex had all the back rent paid and had inspection visits and action plan completed with contractors (at reasonable prices ) to get the property back into a rentable state. During this process I was consulted, kept informed and very importantly the tenants were treated with understanding and respect. Rent payments were made to me the same day!!! I had my property marketed with another agents prior to Edlin & Jarvis for 3 months and couldn't sell it even in a booming market. GoogleEdlin and Jarvis recently sold our house as part of a difficult chain. We spoke with several different members of the office, over several months, and everyone was helpful, engaging and efficient. The firm is professionally led by Marie. Becca, who did a lot of the work on our sale, kept in regular touch with us so we were always up to date.
