Our house sale was definitely not straightforward, but the team @ Edlin & Jarvis were brilliant. Everyone helped out in various ways and kept us going with their positivity and down to earth, practical advice. It's always difficult to name check an individual when it's a fantastic team effort, however Lisa went above and beyond and we wanted to thank her publicly as she is a real asset to the company. So against all the odds, we moved last week and although we will miss the old house, we are really pleased everyone in the two chains can now start to look forward to Christmas 2025!

ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING… we are so pleased and grateful we used Edlin and Jarvis for the sale of our home. Marie came to view and value our property initially, all the information regarding what Edlin and Jarvis can do to market it was explained fully, there was a detailed discussion regarding the value, with Marie having completed her homework with similar properties currently on the market. The photos were taken and it was advertised shortly afterwards. Then came Lisa… to be honest I am not sure how we would have got through the past 6 months without her!! From our perspective she was the only professional within a very difficult chain who wanted to help and support us. She was not averse to picking up the phone to chase and badger to get any kind of update, contrary to the norm these days of sending an email and waiting for a response. Even if Lisa had not received a reply the same day she would let us know and advise she would contact again the following day, which she did. She gained our trust and respect for being honest and communicative. She kept us sane and on track to see it through. We would highly recommend anyone moving home to use Edlin and Jarvis… a refreshing change in this day and age to have a team of friendly, enthusiastic and motivated people who work hard to help their clients to achieve their goal through a very stressful time. I was buying my first home, which was marketed by Edlin & Jarvis by the vendors. I made it clear to them that I had no clue about the house buying process and they were so kind and approachable. They explained everything, even things unrelated to the estate agent role and were so helpful. They regularly kept me up to date and were so nice anytime I contacted them with updates or enquiries. They sorted any issues that arose on my behalf with the seller so that I did not have to have amy awkward exchanges which I really appreciated. I always heard back on things quickly and they really seemed to expedite the process. It was a really nice touch when they phoned on the day I moved in to congratulate me. Would definitely use Edlin & Jarvis again, they were brilliant and definitely helped with the speedy completion the sellers wanted.

I cannot praise Edlin and Jarvis highly enough . Right from the start they marketed our property in such a professional way. The brilliant team always made you feel highly valued and treated every aspect of my sale with a sense of total commitment , sense of urgency and a wonderfully polite human touch which I've found greatly lacking in other previous estate agent experiences . Selling a house with a chain of people you know nothing about cam be troublesome especially if they chose a conveyancing solicitor that is inept and does not want to communicate with anyone to progress the sale. Our estate gaent was of little help and oftem relayed inaccurate information to us which added to the difficulty in getting timely information to relieve the stress and anxiety from the lack of meaningful progress that led to a Completion date ,which in our case took over 5 months, We were extremly lucky in tapping into the Estate Agent used by our vendor who took hold of the reigns and managed to get the solicitors at the bottom of the chain to start talking to each other and progress the purchase and sales to reach a conclusion. The leadership and project management by Edlin and Jarvis based in Newark was exemplary , chasing those inept at making progress at the lower end of the chain and keeping all parties informed of progress and educating those that had little or no knowledge of the what can be a long drawn out process when selling a property. I bought my first house through Edlin & Jarvis in early 2021 (yes, it's taken me a year to write this review - I'm sorry ladies!) and I'm so grateful for the team who helped me through the whole process. From start to finish, Becca was always on hand to answer any questions or help with 'wobbles' that I had - especially as we still had such tight restrictions and I was buying the house on my own. Buying a shared ownership property makes things all the more challenging but I always felt like the ladies at Edlin & Jarvis had all the time in the world for me, and no question was too daft or bizarre. The guidance from the team was brilliant, and rather than employing the attitude of "that's not my job", I always felt like I could go to Becca and she'd help however she could. We asked Edlin and Jarvis to value our home for sale after meeting both Marie and Becca through viewing properties whilst searching as we found them both honest and friendly. Marie came to value and quote for their services, and explained about their business ethos and abilities. Whilst the two other agents we asked to quote were ever so slightly cheaper, Marie's passion for customer service sold us and we felt confident selling with them. The house was on the market the same day and viewings booked for the next, our sale then handled by Becca. It sold in less than 2 days. The photos and advertisements for the house were excellent. We had an unfortunate turn of events when out buyer unexpectedly pulled out (in December at the worst time to sell), but Becca contacted us immediately and out the house up on the market straight away. She worked tirelessly getting as many bookings in as possible for us and has been constantly in communication to keep us in the loop. We sold again in a matter of about a fortnight and Becca ensured our new buyers were happy for a quick sale to make sure we didn't lose our place in the chain. From then on Becca consistently remained in touch and chased everything regularly for us. At no point have we been in doubt that they were on top of things for us, and when solicitors in our chain of 5 caused delays, Becca took control of the stress for us and managed the problems on our behalf which minimised the amount of worry for us. We have found Becca to be a consummate professional and would recommend her, Marie and all of the staff at E&J (even those not involved in our case have been helpful when we have spoken spoken them on the phone) to anyone who wants a trustworthy estate agent and values good customer service. Becca is a genuine and warm person who bothers to get to know her customer and their needs. We are two keyworkers who have been busy through lockdown, and without their excellent rapport and management of the chain I think we would have given up on moving when we came against stumbling blocks as we could not have kept on top of it ourselves. Becca is a credit to the business and Marie an experienced and knowledgeable agent. Should we move in the future, we wouldn't hesitate to hire them again in a heartbeat.
