l would highly recommend Karl Tatler estate agents. We mainly dealt with Natalie on the sale of our property and found she went above and beyond what would be expected of her. Nothing was a challenge that couldnt be overcome for her. l was very impressed with the standard of service within this agency. lf another member of staff had to do something for us when Natalie was not in work everyone of them knew details of our sale and how far along we were with the conveyancing of the property we were to move into. The agency initially came across as professional and structured, creating confidence in their approach. However, their strategy seemed more focused on securing quick sales rather than achieving the best outcome. A price reduction was suggested surprisingly early, and once lowered, offers quickly followed, raising questions about the timing of their advice. Communication was persistent to the point of being excessive, with frequent phone calls from different numbers, even when clear preferences for contact had been given. Voicemails lacked detail, making it difficult to track key information. Towards the later stages, sudden deadlines were introduced with little notice, creating unnecessary pressure for immediate action. These last-minute updates, despite being foreseeable, made the process more stressful than it needed to be. There were also instances where they bypassed key decision-makers, seemingly to speed up the process rather than waiting for a response in due course. Instead of respecting that people have their own commitments, they pushed for quicker outcomes that suited their own agenda. This approach, combined with their pressuring tactics, led to a lack of trust in the process. Additionally, there remain unanswered questions about why similar or lower-quality properties in the same area were listed at equal or higher prices, both before, during, and after our property was pressured to settle for less. This raises concerns about whether the pricing advice given was truly in our best interest. And when it comes to exchange day? Silence. Nothing all day, until closing time, when they finally get in touch to confirm they’ll be sending their invoice for payment to the solicitors. After all the pressure and persistence throughout the process, it becomes clear what their priority was all along. Overall, while the service appeared promising at first, the experience felt more about speed and securing their fee than ensuring the best outcome for the client.

We have worked with Karl Tatler Estate Agents Moreton Office for many years, but our recent experience has been deeply disappointing. I’m writing this review to share our experience and hopefully help others make an informed decision. We own a property that we’ve rented out for years. In October 2024, we planned to take the property back for renovations and to move in ourselves. We informed the agency several months in advance via email, clearly stating that we wanted to end the tenancy by mid-October. We asked them to communicate this with the tenants accordingly. All email records were kept, and our message was very clear. However, due to a misunderstanding on the agent’s part, our instruction to take the property back in October was misinterpreted as an extension of the tenancy until December. As a result, we were unable to regain possession of the property until December, which completely disrupted our renovation plans. We had already arranged contractors, and the delay led to both financial and scheduling losses. We raised the issue with the branch manager. Although she offered an apology, it felt insincere and no reasonable solution was proposed. Instead, we were told we would need to bear the consequences ourselves. This approach was extremely disappointing and showed a lack of accountability. To make matters worse, we had also arranged to collect the keys on a specific date, only to find out that the office had closed early due to an equipment failure, without any prior notice to us. We made the trip for nothing and had to wait another two days before we could finally collect the keys. This lack of communication and professionalism was unacceptable. We understand that mistakes can happen, but how a company handles those mistakes is what really matters. In our experience, Karl Tatler Moreton Office failed to take proper responsibility and did not demonstrate the level of service we expected after years of working with them. I hope this review helps other landlords make a more informed choice when selecting a letting agency.

The team are very professional, warm and welcoming who take all your considerations on board as if it was their own. I sold my house and bought another working with Becky who was just amazing. Though we didn't actually sell our property through Karl Tatler, they supported us every step of the way, keeping us informed and advised. Our own estate agents, by contrast, were astonishingly uninformative, rarely returning calls or volunteering info. There was once a 48-hour delay in passing an important message from our buyers, for instance. Now I'm not so naive that I don't realise that the fact that three of the four sellers in our chain were represented by KT made an open and accessible relationship a benefit to all, they were unfailingly friendly, frank and, most important, available.
