GoogleWe agreed a sale on a property marketed by Stewart's and were excited and really looking forward to our new home. Almost 3 weeks after agreeing the sale, Stewart's contacted us to say that they had received a higher offer from another person and their client was considering this; in other words, they were allowing this. This caused us extreme disappointment and particularly my wife immense distress at the agent allowing this to happen. Despite a long phone discussion and email, Nick Stewart stood by this practice and stated looking after their client's needs was most important. As we really liked the property, we did increase our bid substantially twice and eventually it was accepted. However, without reassurance that a similar incident could not be ruled out before contracts were signed, we decided to end out interest in the house. We never thought we would be gazumped nor that Stewart's would permit this to happen. Such practices only mean uncertainty in the housing market. Subsequent conversations with other estate agents reassured us that they have processes in place so this does not happen. My advice as a buyer would be to avoid Stewart's Estate Agents. Very disappointed at their performance.NegativeProfessionalism

FacebookWouldn’t hesitate to recommend. Purchased a house through Stewart’s and dealt mainly with Michael who was great throughout. Helped us navigate a tricky move back from England and kept all parties happy. All staff were very professional and friendly.
