Made a offer on a property more than…

Made a offer on a property more than the asking price and was told l would have a phone call back later that day , had no phone call so waited a few days and phoned Taylor’s to been told it is sold and my offer was turned down and they had phoned me to tell me l had no phone call from them and that was just a lie to cover themselves l could off offered more if they would of made that phone call , l can’t understand as I’m a cash buyer so l did think l was in a good position as the house was empty

Misrepresented offers as cash, didn't listen or pay attention expect us to dance like monkeys to make it easier for them

I started selling my grandparents property with Taylors roath, they organised viewings and the problems started.We asked them to call when they were done showing people round so we could come home, they didn't call, half hour after viewings were meant to end, freezing we headed home to see what was up.All lights on, gates opened no sign of agent. We get in, settle, warm up and nearly hour half later I call them to find out whats going on.They say they will let us know in the morning the offers.I check cctv he left half hour early leaving, didn't call so we were out in the cold for a hour longer than needed was pissed.I end up calling them later next day as they never called get told of a 145k offer, a 125k the three 100k offers.... but the 125k one is cash, faster sale no mortgage to worry about so we take 20k loss and go for it as we want to move.Sales progressing and weeks in we get told its not actually a cash offer.... its a Ltd company mortgage still sound they assure us, we have done alot of the paper work, times pressing on we have put a offer on a house which was accepted as we would be cash buyers, that's what we had been told.... so we inform the estate agent we are buying from and they say its fine and we continue bit niffed that we missed out on 20k.During this time they also suprised us with asking for £400 upfront for the house we are buying for "searches" we were NEVER informed before hand of this so thanks for that cause I just have money lying round no wait I did tell them we didn't.Then over a month and half into paperwork for sale of old home and the purchase of our new home nearly complete, our buyer drops out as they don't like thier interest rate. thought this offer was cash then it was supposed a rock solid mortgage.... livid but keep it together.We then have Karl arranging more viewings, he offers Tuesday Wednesday, I say Tuesday partner works from home thats thier day off. He then calls asking for Saturday, said partners working we would have to stay in the house... nooo problem they would just poke thier heads in the room, they start booking in viewers going over the two hours... OK.Then we get a email saying we have to be out of the house for the viewings.. its minus two, we have no where to go and my partner is working from home they know all this.At this point I have lost it, they have made it difficult since day one, misrepresented offers, bought suprised charges and expected us to lose wages to fix thier mess ups. I am fuming. I wish I had never gone with Taylors Roath.

Completely Incompetent

Taylors Lettings are absolutely useless, and they are undeserving of 1 star.The customer service is appalling - no one responds to emails, phone calls, or simple requests. We need to constantly chase them to undertake the most basic tasks, and they are knowingly negligent of basic safety standards.Without warning they removed their "emergency" contact number, rendering us helpless on a number of occasions.I am a frequent review reader and rare poster, but the level of negligence was incomprehensible and had to be written.

I don't usually leave bad reviews, but after months of trying to find a landlord that accepts pets, calling agencies after agencies, we finally came across this property with Taylors. Everything described beautifully and finally at the end nothing mentioned about "no pets allowed". Full of hope, we call to make sure about the pet part. We have good references, happy to pay more for rent, happy to give an extra deposit. The answer was a rude' NO' to all our questions. Rude, unhelpful and very abrupt answers and attitude. Absolutely disappointed and disgusting. I don't know how these people still have a job.

!!!!! Never give Taylors any lettings !!!!I am a landlord. The letting was given to Taylors (the first mistake to start with). An agent visited my property and promised me number of things before I gave them a fully managed contract. I found the tenants for them not Taylors. When i called them to find out what is fully managed contract ? so Taylors explained, collecting the rent from the tenant and pass it back to landlord after deducting all their fees. Nothing else is included. I don't live near the property so want a property visit atleast may be every 3 months to make sure my property is in good condition. This was promised when the agent visited the property. I should have got everything in written (second mistake). Saying that there was not a single visit to property from Taylors to make sure the property is fine and no damage done by tenants. More scenarios: Taylors think they can deduct whatever money they think and just send an invoice. it happened twice. I called the office and asked what this new charge is ? and they don't know it so asked to contact the countrywide office. Ok, so called the countrywide office and they said we made a mistake and refunded the money. I would have lost more than £100 if didn't check the invoices. More than a year and i decided I don't want Taylors to manage my property anymore (as they were doing nothing apart from taking out there share). So contacted Taylors and the lady on the phone asked me to send an e-mail with a written notice to stop the service and explained its a 3 month notice period. I asked them the e-mail address and sent the notice and now waiting for the reply back. over 2 week and was surprised no reply so checked my e-mail account and ofcorse they gave me a wrong e-mail address even though i asked for a letter to letter e-mail id at the time of giving notice. I sent my notice e-mail again and since the rent date was already passed, the notice period counts from the next rent period (no way!!).Finally the time came to end the contract and i need the tenant details to hand over to the next management company and the tenant deposit details so that it can be protected under deposit scheme. Called the Taylors local office and they said contact countrywide ok so I called countrywide and they said contact Taylors. Don't know who to contact now. After some heated conversation countrywide took responsibility. sent them the government deposit scheme details and the game starts again. Every time i call them to find out the status on when do i expect the deposit in the deposit scheme ? They say we just picked up the e-mail and will forward it to the deposit scheme department and that happens everytime i call. Finally i managed to get to the right person and they said we received the details today and the deposit will transfer today.Not at all a customer friendly service. Taylors only looking to get money out of your pocket and delay things as much as possible. Never let with Taylors. On a side note: Taylors famous tag line when you are trying to reach someone, the person you are trying to reach is on the phone and will give you a call back. Believe me they will never call you back

Absolute nightmare to deal with. After a year I am withdrawing my house from sale. Took months of chasing to take actions, and then unreachable. Clearly on buyers side, telling us to take lower offers and not take higher ones beacuse of their "systems". Horrible, horrible experience.

I vacated the house early as Swindon Taylors agent confirmed to refund the rent for the remaining days, it has been 3 months now but no response from Swindon Taylors team after multiple chasers.I was tenant foe more than 3 years but this company has no respect at all. Not recommending anyone to go with Taylors at all in any scenario. Swindon Staffs are very unprofessional.
