Car sales man of estate agents... Greedy company had a viewing with them they spent more time trying to get me to move to connells mortgage .. had a very rude lady from there mortgage section call me twice trying to hard sale there mortgage and when i wouldnt she got angry and rude . most of connells properties are now auction they only care about money with the lease amount of work needed .. they get some nice properties but 90% are auction which only help dealers and builders. DO NOT USE connell southampton or portsmouth

Used them as rental management for my rental property but their service degraded so much over time to point that if i can give zero star, I would. Non-responsive when you ask them for something and completely incompetent group of people working in this company. The home sales team is no better with a completely ridiculous property valuation given where the other property company can give a significantly higher valuation.

Absolutely the WORST letting agent on the market. Customer service is non existent, no one replies to emails and they all pass the buck from one person to another when you call them. The only reason I had an ongoing issue fixed after battling with them and jumping through their hoops for almost a year was because I threatened to go to environmental health.

I had a very unpleasant experience with M***c* and D**i*l at Oadby office. I paid the holding deposit and went through all the references and was promised the handover of keys on the 30th December. I had arranged everything for the move and even paid advance to the movers. At 4pm on the 30th, I received a call saying the landlord is not signing the agreement and the next date would be 4th January. After a lot of chasing today, I got to know that landlord has refused to sign the agreement. I believe that M***c* was aware of all this throughout and failed to inform me as the only important person here is landlord and not the tenant. When I asked about the reason and my rights, the attitude was 'just go away'. You have no rights apart from getting the holding deposit back.

I am still receiving bills from the period we haven't lived at the property because connells gave wrong dates to the companies and we still receive bills like eon for the period we haven't lived at the property, water company, council tax, useless, absolutely useless, they took their time to email me that the dates are wrong but not the companies. Managed a tenancy for us. Repeatedly failed to follow simple instructions. Didn't do a check-out when the tenant left. Delayed handing over rent due to us. When the tenancy ended they moved the utilities without notice or our consent (took a back-hander from OVO). Utterly useless at dealing with our complaints. Just ignored us. Totally useless as agents.

NEVER EVER USE THEM! Avoid renting from Conells We left one of their properties 6 months ago and have only now managed to get our deposit back. They deducted £140 for cleaning that didn’t need to be done. We made the mistake of not taking photos of the house when we entered and left. Leaving us with no evidence that we had cleaned the house. After spending weeks calling and emails, (we couldn’t go in as their offices were closed due to COVID) we got no reply. The only way we could get through was by calling the sales department for them to pass the phone on. They left it till the last legal moment to respond to us, and continued to do so throughout the process. If they were allowed 2 weeks to respond they would wait until day 14 to respond. They are honestly the worst letting agency we have ever used. One year when it came time to renew our contract, they were 6 days late in getting our new contact to us, despite several emails and calls. They then had the cheek to send a warning for underpaying our rent because they had put it up and not told us. I could list so many more examples of their incompetence. Bottom line, do yourselves a favour and find a different house to rent.

Let’s sum it up nice and quick. THEY COULDNT ORGANISE A P**S UP IN A BREWERY!!!!! absolutely shocking service from the Sittingbourne branch. I put an offer on a house and was never contacted about progress. So I called a week later and the said oh sorry ye the seller is going with somelse and they hadn’t even given people the chance to put in a bigger offer so potentially losing the sellers more money on their house. Also, all they were interested in was keep trying to get me to use their advisor using bullying tactics which was a joke.

If I could give 0 stars I would 5 months ago my mortgage was accepted on a property, they ignore your emails, you call and ask to speak to the person dealing with your case who are always busy or not at their desk and when you ask to speak to a superior they refuse to transfer you through ! I'm fed up and very close to changing solicitors now, the worst experience of being a first time buyer.Still waiting for my call back !
