From the start we dealt with a lovely woman named Ellie astley , she was so polite and helpful on email. We went to view a property today and Ellie could see we wasn’t keen on the property, she went out of her way to offer to show us a different property more suitable to us. And in both properties she was amazing spoke us through any questions we had. We’ve dealt with multiple estate agents and I’ve never come across anyone as helpful and lovely as Ellie. Made us feel welcome and was absolutely delighted to have dealt with Ellie today. Thanks to Ellie we have our fingers and toes crossed we have found our forever home. 1000% recommend martins & co and I’d definitely ask to deal with Ellie. What a lovely and thoughtful person 🙂

As a landlord this is the first time I have used Martin & Co Merthyr branch as my agent. My overall impression of the service they provide is exceptional. I have just recently rented a property with them. Being a landlord for a number of years i have always been compliant with Health & Safety, Rent Smart Wales legislation. When Amanda from the Merthyr branch viewed the property I intended to rent out there were a number of factors which not only did i overlook but was unaware that i needed these factors in place to meet current legislation. Amanda's knowledge and expertise in this area was invaluable and very reassuring. Ellie was excellent in finding a tenant for my property. Very efficient, quick ,informative and straightforward, finding me an excellent tenant. There is a complete new team at the Merthyr Branch with a dedicated person, Kai managing landlord maintenance. My tenant recently contacted Kai as the boiler malfunctioned. It needed a new part fitted and on contacting Kai he arranged to have it repaired the same day. My tenant was more than pleased on how quickly he resolved the matter. From my experience using Martin & Co Merthyr this new team of Amanda, Kai and Ellie are totally committed to providing outstanding customer service, are extremely helpful, professional and very pleasant. Top marks all round.

Well I know the staff are leaving but a estate agent job is supposed to keep you informed about how your sale going and liaise with both solicitors, but I would not list a dog kennel with them shame. There was no communication for 4 weeks and the buyer pulled out 2 weeks before that and I didn't know fumming.They at to pull out due to their own circumstances. I was very disappointed 😔. No names mentioned I am not that type of guy..

Well, I know that the staff are leaving the company, but an Estate Agents job is to keep their clients informed of all aspects of their sale and to liaise with the solicitors. There was no communication for 4 weeks and having found out that the perspective buyer had pulled out of the sale after 2 weeks. To say the least I was very disappointed. Moving forward I would not use this company or recommend it. As I am not a vindictive person, I will not be mentioning any staff names that I had dealt with.

Wonderful service and support with selling our house in Merthyr. We were let down by another local estate agent, who promised the earth but just didn't deliver. (One viewing in six weeks and hardly ever replied to calls.) After changing to Martin & Co they soon had several viewings arranged for our property and we had agreed a sale within a week - for only a fraction under the asking price. Amanda and her team were also great at keeping us updated and responding to any queries. Five star service and for half the price. Just wish we had gone with them in the first place!

They have been professional and helpful. Over the years the staff have become friends and I am grateful for their service and support. I have just sold the property and recommended them to continue the management of the premises which I am pleased to say the new owner had agreed to!

I don't know if I should be writing a review, as no actual business was done with the company, but potentially it could have been. I needed a valuation done on my late mother's house for probate reasons. On enquiry I was told it could be done, and for free. A lady (won't name) from Martin & Co. called me and asked me to take photos of the house and send them to her by Whatsapp, rather than come up and view the property herself. I did that ... and that was the last I heard from her. Although I have chased the report, I have never received it. Luckily I got the reports done with other estate agents. I am very disappointed with Martin & Co's customer service, and will never recommend them to anyone. And when the house is eventually sold, it won't be via them.

I dealt mainly with Chloe and she was brilliant at communicating throughout the whole process, always returning calls or emails promptly and giving regularupdates.
