Poor communication, slow responses, and a very frustrating experience My experience with Town & Country was extremely disappointing and unnecessarily stressful. We were trying to purchase a property and were told that we needed to use Town & Country as part of the process. We later found out this was not actually the case, which made the whole situation even more frustrating, as it felt like we had lost valuable time following a process that was not clearly explained to us. Communication was very poor throughout. Responses were slow, calls and emails were not dealt with quickly enough, and we constantly felt like we were having to chase for updates. At times, it felt like they were simply too busy to give our case the time and attention it needed. One of the most frustrating parts was being told by one member of staff that the house was not affordable for us, even though we believed it was. We were then later told by another member of staff that it was affordable. In my opinion, this felt like we had been judged too quickly without the full facts being properly understood. The lack of consistency and urgency caused a lot of stress. We were waiting for a mortgage in principle, but the process took far too long and required constant chasing from our side. When you are trying to secure a home, delays like this really matter. Needless to say, we have now arranged a mortgage elsewhere and have purchased the house in question. However, we very nearly missed out on it, and in my opinion, the delays and poor communication from Town & Country played a major part in that. Buying a home is already stressful enough without feeling ignored, pre-judged, or left in the dark. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend that anyone considering using Town & Country asks clear questions from the start, gets everything confirmed in writing, and considers shopping around before relying on them. Overall, I found the service slow, unclear, and disappointing. I would not choose to use them again.

Throughout the sale process, the whole team were so accessible and easy to talk to. Town and Country in Caddington were absolutely fantastic from beginning to end with our house purchase , I was forever asking questions and trying to get extra viewings to sort house maintenance as soon as we moved in and they were always so calm, patient and helpful !! i am very disapointed with the redbourn office, i recently was looking to buy a 4 bed house but was met at one property by an an agent who was very arrogant, as soon as i walked into the property i apologised that i knew it was too small and not to waste time i didnt need to look around, he took this personally and i bit my lip and left. i rang their office this week to enquire about a property but as it was late in the day the person who answered phone was in a rush to get me off the phone and said they would email the details of my enquiry, they didnt!! i am now using other agents.
