GooglePlease take a look at the photos taken for the flat they are currently marketing on Rightmove in Demesne Road, Whalley Range for £650 pcm. There are no pictures of the lounge/living area or bathroom. Instead, they've just done close up pictures of each of the windows, the number on the front door of the flat, a very small storage space holding just a single chair, a microwave, the toilet and base of the shower unit. Please do not just take my word for it and look it up yourself.

I am sorry to hear that you disapprove of our photos so much, but to therefore give our business a 1 star review in return seems very harsh. There are photos of the lounge living area on the link, it is an open plan living space with the kitchen. There is also no bath in the property, it is a shower room only and we have tried to show that in the photos. The flat itself is not very big and we have tried to show that as honestly as possible.

GoogleAbsolutely rubbish letting agency. They’re unable to deliver what they promise and they have such an appalling costumer service that they will not take any responsibility nor compensate you for any mistakes they make. Really unprofessional and poorly managed staff who, after endless attempts to ring them and numerous messages left, will simply not get back to us. We had our property let by them and at the end of the tenancy agreement they authorised the release of the tenants’ deposit without chasing after the refund for the damage made to our property, nor did they check with us whether we were in agreement with it at any point. As landlords, we feel very much let down by Martin and Co and would not recommend them.

Hi Sara, I must say that we were very disappointed to read your review. we do feel that we found very good tenants for your property who were very accommodating of your needs. Once the tenancy had finished you did not allow us to get an official check out completed as you needed immediate access to the property. We did explain that this would make claiming any damages or losses very difficult but this was ignored. Despite this we did manage to claim the cost of a full professional clean of the property, but any other costs were not brought to our attention until weeks after the tenants had vacated. If we were to have waited for you to come back with the additional costs then we would have also lost the cost for the cleaning, due to the timescales given by the DPS. We really enjoyed working with you and are saddened that it has ended like this.

I had to call them 3 days later to find out the response which was the landlord did not want to go ahead with the letting. Brought in squatters into our property and refusing to take any responsibility for the issues we've had. They've not even paid a months rent. We have no confirmation of the deposit paid either other than just their word.

Awful letting agents, don’t have a clue in what they’re saying and seem to chance everything and charge a premium too.
Regardless of how good the property they’re offering seems I’d avoid like the plague.

Hi Aneela. I am sorry that you had a bad experience with Martin & Co, the Chorlton office of Martin & Co only inherited your property at the end of the last tenancy you had with us so i cannot comment on issues you had with the previous office. I have checked the file though and I can honestly say that inspections were carried out by the previous office. The file also states that you were misleading towards us with your intentions with the property when the last tenancy ended which led to many issues with the deposit. I also believe our fees to be more than fair.
