Poor lettings management

If you are a landlord - I would not recommend using keenans to manage your property.When my tenants handed in their notice - they didn't tell me or do anything about it so the property was empty a month longer than it needed to be.They never respond to emails to the enquiry inbox, and don't have any sort of processes in place to manage the property. For example when the property was empty they did not tell the utility companies my forwarding address to contact me so I've had to chase this up myself and risk having unpaid bills.They have caused me an undue amount of stress and I will leave them soon as they have broken their side of the contract numerous times and so I have no confidence they are looking after my property.Really poor service, incredibly stressful to deal with and overall disappointing experience.I have used other lettings agents in the past who are much better so I know they are not all as chaotic as this.

My contact was Jonathon who maintained contact during the following two years while probate was being progressed.When probate was granted Ella took over the conveyancing and kept me up-to-date. The company discriminates against…

The company discriminates against people on benefits. People on benefits have to provide a guarantor which is ridiculous and unfair, as most people on benefits are less likely to have that, the rent gets paid the same as if you were working so policy that makes no sense. And the very lovely gentleman slammed the phone down on me when I said I would leave a review. If you don't have a brain cell the last sentence was sarcasm.

Five stars not enough

If I could give more than five stars I would!I dealt with Keenans both buying a property and selling my own and in both regards I couldn't have asked for a better service. Georgia in the office was nothing short of super efficient in all her dealings. Whenever I sent an email I received an almost immediate response. I was kept informed of all developments on an ongoing basis and received lots of helpful advice along the way. Helena the valuer in respect of my sale was also super efficient, polite and very professional. In fact in all my dealings with Keenans all members of staff have been efficient, courteous, polite, friendly, informative and very professional. In short, highly recommended.

AVOID AVOID AVOID

Where do I begin. Keenans are liars. If your selling a property through them then please avoid. They will not get the best price for you. All they are after is a quick turnaround and put pressure on the sellers in accepting an offer which in this instance they were old and vulnerable. I'd put in an offer on a house I liked only to be informed that my offer was rejected because of the size of the deposit of 70%. Why should that matter when I had a mortgage in principle agreed for the remaining amount. I then spoke to the vendors directly who informed me that Keenans had put them off from accepting my offer despite it being the highest. The poor vendors were old and had been lied to by both Robert and the branch manager Jonathon about my financial situation. I will be taking this matter up with the property ombudsman as Keenans should not be allowed to conduct their business like this.

Cannot speak highly enough of Keenan's.

Cannot speak highly enough of Keenan's! If you need an estate agency, do not hesitate to hire this company. You'll be in the safest of hands. The whole staff team are brilliant. They sold our house on the first viewing day and "held our hand" right the way through the whole process. Every query was responded to immediately. Their professionalism and customer care are beyond compare. We had not moved house for 30 years so we were very nervous about the process, but the Keenan's team made sure everything went smoothly for us. They were particularly supportive about my husband's serious illness and kept this in the forefront of their minds during every interaction. It doesn't matter who picks up the office phone - you're guaranteed the same excellent customer service from every single team member. We can't thank them all enough for everything, although special mention must go to Paul, Sam and Lauren for their outstanding support, professionalism and empathy. If ever we need to move house again, only Keenan's will do and we recommend them without hesitation.

Keenans Rochdale- 5*!!!

Fantastic experience provided by Keenans Rochdale. We arranged valuations from several estate agents across Rochdale and Keenans immediately stood out as the most professional. Sam valued our property and we were happy with how it was priced and he was happy to negotiate the finer details of our contract with us. Images of the house were well-taken and were marketed expertly. Communication was fantastic, Lauren gave us daily and weekly updates where appropriate including post-sale. It was a breeze and we will certainly be using them again in future. We went from live advert to sale within 6 weeks and completed under 12 and the whole process was seamless thanks to this great bunch. Thank you!

Communication could have saved our experience

The whole renting process with Keenans has been quite difficult from our viewing of our current property we fell in love and set a moving date which is where hell unfolded. The whole week before we were chasing for our contracts to sign which has the incorrect date on which we will be chasing to correct - arriving at the property on key exchange day was possibly the most stressful day of my life, we had no power, no heating and the property was dirty and still full of the previous occupiers things. Whether the letting agent or the landlords fault I would expect this to all be rectified and sorted for us to arrive or even jusy a phone call to let us know..baring in mind this had already been pushed back 3 days. We spent 2 days chasing our electric provider, we missed Christmas parties, we had the most stressful week. Eventually after asking to speak with me a manager twice on the evening the lovely Emma finally contacted us, she arranged for a gent called Anthony to come out who managed to help us get the support we needed to get the power back on. We eventually move in another 2 days later than planned. Emma completely went above and beyond to try and fix what was a horrific situation, even getting someone around to clean on such sort notice! She did everything within her power to ensure that myself and my fiancé could comfortably live at the property and we could sort out all the other bits afterwards. Minor issues still stand, which we will be picking up on the new year however having spoken to Alex when there were some issues with our oven I am hopeful we can get everything all ironed out and finally feel like this is our home. What I feel this situation could have been fixed with is some communication, it could have been avoided it needing to be escalated up to Emma if we’d have just been kept in the loop.

Finally an estate agent who cares: Keenans have been very helpful and responsive throughout the process of selling our property with expert advice and tips. But it gets better than that. On the day of an important viewing we weren't feeling well, our cleaner had let us down and we were not ready for the viewing. Jack Truelove of Keenans turned up. He immediately asked "how can I help?" and then went to work, helping us to get the house ready for the viewing. I swear I even saw him whizz around with our Dyson and a cloth to get the place to look it's best. The viewers turned up and... put in an offer (!) which we accepted. Jack's positive "can do" attitude shines through in all communication with him and we are sure that this is also what made the difference with the buyers. Thank you.

Excellent take on by Keenans Burnley Team in spring 2020. Covid impacted as we requested on hold for 12months.Property revalued by Louis & quickly re-marketed in June 2021. Accepted a realistic offer after Dean’s good viewing. We were handed over to Liam from the sales progression team, who excelled in chasing solicitors, following up any issues & kept in touch which was invaluable as we live at distance.
