TrustpilotInflated prices and lies
If youβre a buyer or a seller Iβd avoid. They put properties on Right Move that are inflated in price, and then they say the vendor wants more money than the guide price.
Sorry but if the vendor wants for example 350k for the house, do not put the price as 330k on Right Move, then start a non-existent bidding war. This has happened 3 times with this company, which makes me think itβs their terrible tactic.

TrustpilotHunters Kendal
Hunters. Kendal.Have no problem recommending this branch. Unfortunately lockdown got in the way. Launch was on Wednesdsy and lockdown Friday which restricted viewing. Kept me well informed as to who was viewing. When I did get a sale dealt with the buyer in no uncertain terms as he was trying to find lots of faults to drive down the price. He didn't succeed! Suzanne Jackson valued my property and was informative and good to deal with as were the rest of the staff in the office dealing with Kendal.

TrustpilotHighly Recommend - Hunters Lee
I bought my first property and sold it with the support from Hunters Lee. I am really pleased with my choice. Vikram, Sarah and Serhan are amazing - they are very supportive, understanding, calm and super well-organised. They went above and beyond to support me whenever I need. They made the process really smooth and stress free for me with their years of experience, long term vision and excellent communication skills. I highly recommend this team and will definitely work with them again in the future if I have a chance to. Thank you so much all!

TrustpilotNorth Somersetβs Best.
Iβd just like to thank all the staff at Hunters in North Somerset, Yatton, Portishead and Nailsea offices. They have sold 2 Of our private houses for us in the past 3 Years, and one of our rental properties before that. All Were sold in a matter of days. Of the 2 recent sales the 1st one went through smoothly in 2 months. The second was not quite so good through no fault of Hunters I might add.2nd property sold the 1st day on the market but turned out the lady was telling porkies about her funding so she disappeared after 2 weeksπ€¬Another Confirmed buyer Within the same week and except for the obvious Covid delays, mainly being unable to sort removals, this time everything went as planned. Many thanks to Richard, Mandy and James for their excellent Professional service and I would strongly recommend Hunters to anyone thinking of selling in the North Somerset area. They know the market in this area so well and really go the extra mile for their clients.

TrustpilotSo unprofessional
So unprofessional. Middlesbrough- Teesside Lettings branch cancelled my viewings on the same day just an hour before the appointment with a lame reason of not confirming it via an email when the appointments are usually confirmed by phones. Also no necessary information about the property was given a week ago while I booked the appointments but today after them sending me appointment cancellation emails. I had cancelled my plans for today as I had 2 appointments with them. Staff has no manners to talk to a client, the way of sending emails is so casual and informal. They offered me appointment for the next day when I specifically requested for an appointment for today itself a week ago. I just told them I donβt want to go ahead with such unprofessional company. Management needs some training so do the staff in dealing with the clients.

GoogleHunters have the appearance of professionality and fair trading but our experience did not justify that. From the reviews, it seems they place much higher priority on their sales department than their lettings department. It was a shame, as the staff seem lovely and well-meaning but our experience was poor.
We paid a large amount of 'admin fees' to secure the property, which was absolutely a rip off. When we first moved in, we were not given the correct access codes to our property, we tried to call them and got no response and had to wait for other tenants to arrive so they could tell us the code to move in. We moved into an Ancoats property, that had claimed to be 'professionally cleaned' and definitely was not. It was dirty, dusty and scuffed all over. I assume all the lights were perhaps not properly tested because 4 broke within a week. In the first week, we took the bins out to the on-site bin store, when we realised, we were supposed to have been given a fob when we moved in, in order to access the building and enter and exit the bin store. We went out there with no phones, so we had to wait half an hour until we found another tenant to let us back into the building. We called the office and they casually apologised and gave us the fob but offered no compensation. We emailed about getting maintenance issues sorted in the flat, and we had no response for the 6 months we were there. At the end of the tenancy, they charged a ridiculous Β£30 for us to use them as a reference for our new flat. I know this is ridiculous because it is simply a 3 minute call confirming that we are good tenants and have paid our rent, and they said they would not confirm this unless we paid them Β£30! Finally, we have moved out now, and they charge a ridiculous 'Β£120' check-out fee (which is now rightfully illegal because it is honestly an empty payment) which covers the estate agent taking an hour or so to assess the state of the property. This should not be our fee to cover, it is in the interest of the agent, not the tenants. This means that regardless if we left the house in a spotless condition, we would not get our full deposit back anyway, because we "have" to pay the Β£120 check out fee. How is it fair to take a deposit to secure the property's state, and take out money from it regardless if it is in perfect condition? It should have been more clearly highlighted to us. I reiterate, we should not have to pay this fee, it is not in our interest. It makes sense why it is now illegal.
Confirming their poor customer service, I sent an email to Hunters on the 2nd August, and 20 days later, I have yet to have a reply.
Would not recommend, greedy company. Do not let the kind staff fool you.

GoogleHunters Manchester were really bad to be honest, worst letting agent we've used. When we moved in the flat was filthy but we completed the itinerary and among other things we stated that the fire alarms were not working and certain spot lights were also not turning on. They did nothing about the itinerary, not even the fire alarms! When we moved out they tried to charge us for the very same spotlights we mentioned were not working when we moved in. Granted they gave us a token gesture refund for the filthy state of the flat, but when we moved out and left the flat in a much cleaner state than when we moved in, the cleaning charge they tried to deduct was not relative at all. The internet had to be taken up with a certain provider that was very expensive, so we queried this and the response I got from Lewis was 'well I'm not the landlord so how would I know'. Great customer service there, what is the letting agency for then other than charging hundreds of pounds of fees to not help or take any responsibility? The photos of the itinerary did not match the apartment at all so be careful there. We tried to call Lewis about certain things but he was never available apparently and email replies can take up to 42 days (seriously). When we handed our notice that we were going to vacate the property Hunters turned up one day when we were packing up with a viewing for future tenants. They gave us no notice whatsoever of this viewing they had arranged. We had Lewis as our point of contact so it may be different for others, but generally expect bad attitude, total incompetence and lack of reply to queries. We had a challenge getting our deposit back too but this was expected based on the service we had received during our tenancy. Not addressing faulty fire alarms or giving tenants notice of your arrival is really bad but by the end we were just happy to leave and not have to deal with Hunters again.

GoogleI recently had the pleasure of liaising with Lucy and Maryam at Hunters Estate agency as I was looking for a property to rent. As I currently work as an estate agent myself I was hoping to communicate with like-minded individuals that operate with the same high standards I'm used to. I can safely say that Hunters exceeded my expectations in that respect, going above and beyond to assist my application and maintaining a professional standard throughout. I would highly recommend using them.

TrustpilotDishonest, incompetent and terrible attitude
Should you choose this letting agents here are a few things you can expect as routine:1) Lying about the status of properties on the market and deliberately misleading all parties on the status of such properties.2) Arranging appointments to view properties that they don't even turn up to meet you at.3) Cocky, arrogant and sarcastic customer service. They really do not care AT ALL!Literally the worst letting agent you could ever choose to instruct. As you can see from the other reviews, dishonesty, incompetence and terrible staff attitudes are a feature. There is a reason for that. Be warned.

TrustpilotDonβt sell with hunters
If you are selling your property please avoid hunters, they charge an extortionate fee for buyers to provide ID when purchasing a property and use a 3rd party company to complete these checks, sadly that company are really poor and their app doesnβt work meaning the whole process of confirming who you are is near impossible despite having to do so to sell your own property.

TrustpilotHunters Manchester Property Management
Hunters Manchester Office managed an up-market property for me in the city centre.
It was far from a good experience.
At best i felt the service provided was 'best efforts' rather than coordinated and professional.
If they could make an error (sometimes repeatedly) they would, which meant I ended up continually monitoring things and lost money as a result.
Contacting Hunters was at times very hit and miss, and repeated attempts to speak to their regional manager when unresolved issues arose was met with silence.
In my opinion there are better options out there for managing your property. I'd never go back to Hunters Manchester .

TrustpilotHunters Belmont Circle
Called Hunters Belmont Circle to arrange a valuation of my home. They asked me the reason for wanting to sell and when I told them it was because we're divorcing the representative immediately turned frosty and said they charge for valuations if your selling due to divorce. Imagine you're presented with a very devastating and traumatic life event, and then the pariahs come a hunting to see if they too can make a profit out of someone else's misery. Shameful.

TrustpilotWhy all the complications?
Tried to book a viewing online of a property in South Shields. I received multiple text messages and emails asking me to complete a further questionnaire before they could proceed. This questionnaire then appears to have prompted another questionnaire (with multiple further texts and emails), which looked like it was going to try and book me in for a property valuation of my current home.
I decided instead to call and try and book a viewing. The gentleman who answered seemed thoroughly disinterested and told me viewings could only be booked for weekdays, and only during the hours of 9am to 5pm. I explained that I work during those hours (as most people do, I would suspect) and he said, 'Ok then, bye' and terminated the call.
Not sure exactly how anyone is supposed to view a property with Hunters.

GoogleThe worst estate agents I have had in over 8 years of renting in Manchester. I filed a formal complaint in September. I had no response by 8 November so escalated and was told their policy is three working days. It is now 30 November and we have had no response. Awful communication; staff that make it very clear landlords not renters are their priority and drift/delay in responding to any concerns identified. Would recommend not renting with Hunters and looking elsewhere.
