GoogleThe worst estate agents I have had in over 8 years of renting in Manchester. I filed a formal complaint in September. I had no response by 8 November so escalated and was told their policy is three working days. It is now 30 November and we have had no response. Awful communication; staff that make it very clear landlords not renters are their priority and drift/delay in responding to any concerns identified. Would recommend not renting with Hunters and looking elsewhere.

We bought a property recently through Hunters, yet to complete, but they have been absolutely fantastic throughout the process. I wish we had used them to sell our house as well, as they have been proactive, very communicative and extremely professional. I could not recommend them any higher.

GoogleI would like to thank Claudette for all her help in my purchase of an apartment in Manchester. Due to various reasons, the processing was much longer than it was expected and it was Claudette who made efforts to contact and push people concerned to achieve the completion as soon as possible. I had a viewing arranged and nobody could give me a meeting point for a large apartment building with several entrances. Spent nearly 20 minutes at the location wondering around and trying to reach the person that was supposed to show me around, all calls declined. Office couldn’t get through to her either and when she finally calls me is to rudely tell me off for not showing up at a different entrance when she never told me where to go, speaking to me in an angry tone and then hanging up.

I am compelled to write this review to express my deep concern and disappointment with the lack of action taken by Hunters in response to a serious safety incident within one of their managed properties.Recently, I was assaulted by one of their tenants who not only brandished a knife but also forcibly entered my apartment and injured my cat. This shocking and dangerous incident has left me and other residents in the building feeling vulnerable and fearful for our safety.Despite the severity of the situation, and their tenant pleading guilty to assaulting another tenant, the response from Hunters has been shockingly inadequate. Instead of promptly addressing the issue and taking steps to ensure the safety of all residents, the management has refused to evict the responsible tenant. This decision is not only a blatant disregard for the well-being of other residents but also a failure to uphold the basic standards of tenant safety and security.It is deeply disheartening to see a property management company neglect its responsibility to maintain a secure and peaceful living environment. The safety of tenants should be paramount, and it is unacceptable that Hunters is allowing such a threat to persist within the community.Prospective tenants, please be aware of the lack of security and prioritization of tenant safety at properties managed by Hunters. In the face of a serious security breach, the management's inaction speaks volumes about their commitment to the well-being of those who entrust them with their housing needs.I urge Hunters to reconsider their stance and take immediate action to ensure the safety and security of all residents in their managed properties.Michael Ryan

GoogleAwful avoid these at all costs...... Submitted a notice of interests for a rental property, within minutes I was bombarded with calls asking for money, using the 'we've got ppl waiting to view it this afternoon' line, pay this amount of money and we'll cancel scheduled viewings.... I stated that I hadn't received the tenancy application form as of yet, they replied with it'll be with you by close of play... It wasn't, I waited 5 days, after a large number of calls I made to them, and eventually going into their Manchester deansgate office.... Tenancy application form completed, as they requested, questions they asked answered honestly and form docusigned and returned in a timely manner... We then get a call from them, stating that are references etc had been received and satisfactory, so we could progress with the move 😛 The dates they wanted to complete, we had already advised we'd be on holiday, and so it was postponed until the following week (we felt that they don't listen, and basically just wanna rush everything through). This was confirmed when we returned from holiday, and was attending their office to complete and pick up keys, I questioned one of the points (16.1) of the tenancy agreement regarding pets, as I had already stated on the tenancy application (3.5 wks before that u had intended to rent the property and I had a pet) all I can say was the staff working in the office went into a chaotic state, trying to blame anyone for this situation, despite the fact that the tenancy application form hadn't been read by any of the people employed by Hunters. At one point I had three members of staff speaking at me, with one shouting across the office, and an other throwing his two-Peneth in as and when he felt it necessary (it was of little value what he said anyway) We ended up not completing on the property, due to the landlords decision not to allow pets... Had HUNTERS have done their jobs correctly and READ the tenancy application form correctly then this situation would not of occurred and I/we would not have had a lot of unesessary expense, and stress. I have emailed the shop manager (before this incident I received 7 calls and a number of emails within a 24hr period) yesterday afternoon @ 1540hrs as of yet I have received nothing from them at all. Avoid this company at all costs, as they don't care, and all they are interested in is ya money and that's about that. They don't listen to you, nor read any correspondents that you send to them as part of the tenancy process.

Had Hunters out to value my property for sale but got really bad vibes from the valuer. Found them to be unprofessional so went with another agency (who were amazing)Unfortunately a property I liked was up with Hunters. Tried to negotiate a deal on the property but the communication through Hunters was not good. I don’t think it was the process rather the person handling it. When negotiating you would expect them to act as professional intermediaries however they were disinterested and as cold as a wet fish. I would have been better dealing directly with the homeowner and we may have been able to make a deal. I left my offer on the table but I have no idea if that was ever passed onto the homeowner. I’m sure there will be some great Hunters branches out there but I’ve not come across one yet. My heart sinks a bit now if I see a property up with Hunters. I just don’t want to deal with them ever for a purchase.Edit.We did end up buying a house through a Hunters branch. Although I did do the deal directly with the homeowner in the first instance we agreed on how to proceed and then we went to the agent. They were actually very good so I guess it’s pot luck which branch you use.

Totally disgusting practices. This company are selling a detached property next to my home. They say it’s impossible not to include a photograph of the full frontage of my house as well. I requested the photo be cropped or changed. For a few days I regained my privacy but again the original photo has returned and is all over the internet. They say they can’t show their clients garage without my house being in the picture. Absolute garbage as the garage is on the other side of the house being sold not next to my house!!! It’s obvious they are using my home to paint a picture of a nice residential road. It’s 100% possible to take a photo showing the house , driveway and garage of their clients property without including my home. Awful just awful.

S. YORKS. If I could give a negative score, I would. What an absolute bunch of useless w-----s. As a tenant we, get 6 monthly inspections, not a problem at all. The problem is, they hardly ever do the work needed & when they do, they employ the most r------d & incompetent person possible & the quality of the work is ALWAYS s--t. When you complain, they do nothing about it. For people using them as an agent: they are letting your properties deteriorate while charging you the earth.

GoogleAn excellent service was provided from my initial enquiry call through to completion of the sale. Members of the team were friendly and helpful. They know their business and city and because of this they were able to right advice, but probably the most important thing I look back is that they took time and made me feel like I was their only customer. I would without hesitation recommend using their services.

This is one of the worst company ever. My deposit is stuck with them for more than 4 months now. mary.mcgarry is the worst representative to work with. they never respond. we have been following for 3 months over call and emails but they pick up call and then keep saying we will get back to you. Never wok with Hunter.

Estate agent was the rudest I've ever seen. Property was rented and we were not told before making a 1 hour trip. Arrived 4 mins past agreed time and we were insulted beyiond measure. I wish I could take legal action against them.
