Zoopla is in my personal opinion the easiest property search engine to use. I especially like that when you send an email to the estate agent, Zoopla sends you a copy of the email. Zoopla also keeps you updated re: progress of your enquiries. Zoopla also sends me useful property information such as how to arrange a survey.

TrustpilotUpdates
Although Zoopla has been useful while I have been seeking new accommodation, I have found it is not always as up to date as it needs to be. I have enquired about rental properties that have already been let, but which appear as available on Zoopla. This wastes a lot of time and effort at an already stressful time.

Hi Penny,Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us your feedback and we're sorry to hear about your negative experience. All the for sale/to rent information on Zoopla is provided to us by the estate agents advertising the properties who are subject to our terms and conditions and code of conduct. When the status of their properties changes to either 'let' or ‘sold’, we request they mark the property as 'Let agreed' or ‘Sold STC’ on Zoopla if this is the case, but unfortunately, it seems sometimes this is not always done immediately resulting in our users finding listings in search results they did not expect. Listings generally take no longer than 24 hours to disappear from the website after the agent has requested its removal unless there was a technical error which we would be able to confirm. Our aim is to ensure that all information on our site is as comprehensive and accurate as possible so next time you see this it would be very helpful if you could select the ‘report listing’ option on the listing’s page (via desktop only). We will then investigate the issue further by speaking to the agent advertising the property. You can report them to us easily by following the steps outlined in this article:https://help.zoopla.co.uk/hc/en-gb/articles/360006033017If there's anything else we can do to help you with, be sure to visit our Help Centre where you may find many useful articles as well as a designated section for property seekers:https://help.zoopla.co.uk/Many thanks,Zoopla Support

TrustpilotNothing to do with reality!
It just made me laugh visiting zoopla website today. I brought a house in December ‘22 and I just went to website for my own curiosity to see the price value (no intention to sell anyway) and the price dropped by 66% after me and wife we stripped the whole house down, new electricity all new interior, plaster new laminate, brand new modern bathroom including plumbing to find out the price dropped by £164k…:-)))))))If you need a real info, better ask the right people, this site has nothing to do with reality no matter what they say!Update:Zoopla said the price dropped by £164k and we improved a loot, when the average price for a house like mine is £325k according to…Zoopla website!!Your website is just a waste of time!

Hi Arcadie,Thank you for sharing your concerns with us. We're really sorry to hear you feel this way about our valuation model.Zoopla price estimates are not valuations. We provide free house price estimates for residential properties in the UK. The price estimates are based on data fed through an Automated Valuation Model (AVM) powered by Hometrack, the UK’s largest automated valuer of residential property. Hometrack's data is relied upon by 85% of UK mortgage lenders today. We receive new data all the time and above-average variations will be largely a result of changing property characteristics and the comparability of the property to the local market. Therefore, discrepancies and/or increases or decreases such as you have outlined are not unusual. Here is a Help Centre article that will give you more information on where we get our data from:https://help.zoopla.co.uk/hc/en-gb/articles/360005677897The accuracy of Zoopla estimates is influenced by a number of factors such as the current market values of homes, the quality of the information available on the given property and the availability of comparable properties in the area. TrustpilotRentals- Allowing false descitptions
Rentals- Zoopla allow landlords to misrepresent their property stating its a ONE BEDRROM FLAT- when in facts its a bedroom in a shared house. I confronted them- and below is their reply they promise to change but they never do as I have comlained aboout this several time but still the same Falsley advertised properties. They want me to report all of these false properties- seriously there ar pages of them, and I am not employed to do this for them but they expect me to do THEIR JOB-NO REAL VETTING WHEN THESE PROPERTIES ARE POSTED There reply to my compliant---- I would like to assure you that we are aware of the fact that the estate agents advertising their properties on Zoopla do not always mark them as ‘shared accommodation’ which causes the issue. Unfortunately, this is done when the agents upload the properties to our website via feeds which we cannot update without their instruction. Please be advised that our specially designated Compliance Team are constantly working on resolving this problem by investigating such cases with particular agents and ensuring that all property listings on our site are as comprehensive and accurate as possible. We are continually in the process of investigating the misleading property listings which are published on our website and we do take them very seriously. It is valuable feedback and ideas from users such as you that help us to continue to develop and make Zoopla a more useful resource for all our users. Thus, we do appreciate it when users send us examples of any incorrect information so that we can update our records as soon as possible.

TrustpilotPointless for anything near true valuation....
Utterly pointless if you are looking for anything resembling a true and fair valuation....Based on sales price plus market data on hiw property prices have changed. Our home we purchased from new yet since we have added an extension, spend thousands on landscaping, thousands and thousands on built in storage yet no ability to update the Zoopla valuation to include this like you could years ago....Totally totally pointless and therefore Zoopla giving out. Misleading advice and valuation on properties.

TrustpilotAnnoying and pointless
This used to be a useful site to keep track of house prices. Now it's nothing but spam. Every single thing you do is preceded by pop-ups, offers, upgrades and non-skippable questionnaires when all you want to do is view a single piece of information. And even when you claim a property you're asked the same things again and again when you log in.In addition, Zoopla removed the one thing for which it was useful, that is adding information to your own property to give a more accurate valuation. Now the valuation of my property at least is rubbish, no better than guesswork.Basically, all the information now on the site is available much more easily elsewhere.

TrustpilotTerrible website, gave up in the end!
Was advised by an independent estate agent to look on Zoopla as well as Rightmove, as not all homes for sale are on both.Well, I tried but the website is absolutely awful! Seems to reload every 10 seconds or so and the house I was looking at would disappear then jump around, changing to different houses! Dreadful - tried to continue scrolling but just ended up missing loads of houses and eventually gave up. Now I remember why I didn't bother with this lot and just stuck to Rightmove - at least their online platform is solid and a joy to navigate.

TrustpilotThis has to be the slowest website in the world.
It would be quicker to find properties for sale if I actually walked around the area looking for For Sale boards. This website has so many external links for this tracker and that advert that it is almost unusable. If you are going to spend money on TV ads, make sure your website works first. Duh!!! UPDATE: Now there is yet another external link to another tracker called Cloudflare that comes up even before you get to Zoopla. It just gets worse.

Below I have proved beyond doubt their valuations are nonsense. They DO NOT take into account real world sales unless they have taken place through estate agents. Private sales are NOT allowed!!! They pump out bot driven responses that they use an "AVM". Well so what! It is still nonsense on a stick. My 3 bed semi house that I sold in Apr 2023 for £350,000 is apparently a 2 bed bungalow only valued at £233,000. Cue auto response from the Zoopla bot. DO NOT TRUST THEM.\

Bought my house for £170,000 (estate agent valuation) January 2023. Had estate valuation some months ago at £190,000+. Checked Zoopla valuation and find went down to £144,000 in November 2023 and now in January 2024 Zoopla valuation of £167,000. This company is clueless. Also, what is this "My Home" they passed me onto for my valuation? When I put in my next door neighbours their valuations was even worse having been valued at £135,000 last November they dropped to £155,000 in January 2024 and they have exactly the same semi-detached house as me.They say their valuations are outside sourced ... so probably to pass the blame. I just hope no-one is taking their valuations seriously. If you want a realistic valuation on your property get a few estate agents valuations and by-pass this lot right away.

My house attributes are wrong, it states it is a 2 bedroom when it is a 3 bedroom. I have tried communicating with them but was told there is nothing they can do as it is information made available to them. I would suggest reviewing their info supply as it is wrong. I have checked my deeds and it is a 3 bedroom house, my mortgage confirmed it is a 3 bedroom house, the mortgage's solicitors confirmed it is a 3 bedroom house, my own solicitors says its a 3 bedroom house. What is more annoying is that it use to show up as a 3 bedroom house, then something changed. I am not aware of losing a bedroom as that means one of us would be sleeping outside. If Zoopla want to be a market leader then perhaps they can work back up the chain holding other data sources to account, this would benefit the whole industry and justify their no 1 position.

For more info, my property is listed £1.3m over what is on the land registry which was updated less than a year ago. TrustpilotI am a private landlord
I am a private landlord. Had been paid through open rent to ad in zoopla a few times. My floor plan and description about the property had not showed in zoopla a few times. And they took out a lot of pics from my original submission. It’s useless to read and look in zoopla All the very important information had missed. They seemed to treat customers from private landlord very unfair.
