We have just exchanged on the house we bought through Hatch Batten & the service has been outstanding from the moment we booked the viewing. James and the team have provided us with updates throughout the entire process and have been there when we (I) ask silly questions. You get more than an estate agent with Hatch Batten; they’re friendly, personable and genuinely care, which is a rarity these days. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend you guys over all agents in Allington/Maidstone area! I’ve dealt with lots of agents previously and you’ve without doubt been the best. Thank you sooo much for helping make a stressful move (due to our useless selling agent out of the area) so much less stressful! We cannot wait to move into our new family home. James sold our relatives house for us that we were selling as power of attorney. On the initial meeting he suggested a price £50,000 more than some of the other estate agents to us. We asked him how confident he was he would get that and he replied 95% within a month. We decided to go with Hatch Batten, as they also offered us the most competitive fees. The house was sold within a couple of weeks for £25,000 over the price they had originally suggested, which was £75,000 more than other estate agents had anticipated. The sale was through in 8 weeks and they kept us well informed. Could not have been more helpful and 7 months later we still discuss how glad we were we chose Hatch Batten.

I have used Hatch Batten multiple times over the last 15 years, having bought, sold and rented several properties. I have found them to be helpful, efficient, knowledgeable, realistic and honest.The turnover of staff in that time has been zero, almost unheard of in any profession, let alone this one, making their knowledge of the local property market second to none. I've found James and his team to be more than helpful in all of our dealings, often going above and beyond the norm to deliver the best possible result for their clients. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them, I often have, and given the choice I wouldn't even consider using another agent.

,we rented a property through this agent,so we went for the first ten minute visit to see the property and we saw enough potential to rent it so we went for it,after all legal stuff was done we had to pay a deposit and one months rent in advance but never allowed to see the property so as a normal people we trusted them has we wore-told the property was ready to move in,me my wife and our two year daughter we wore only allowed again to see the property after we sign the contract and given the keys,we went to the house on the same day we got the keys as we had everything packed and rented a van for the move,when we got there i told my wife we put everything in the garage and then we sort it out and bang i open the garage door and the thing fall on my head(not a great start)i told my wife lets check the reat of the house before we move anything and what we found,not deep clean as promised all the stairs carpet rotten away from the gripper one hole in the carpet aroud 3 inch square with the gripper showing kitchen draws falling apart and cupboard doors the floor in the kitchen was disgusting all beading around was broken with some bits laying on the floor and the worst we went upstairs the shower regulator didn't work so couldn't chose hot or cold water ti bath our toddler,so we refused to move in and contacted this agency on the same day we signed the contract got the keys and tried to move in,we had to wait one a half weeks for them to manage a meeting with the landlord that instead of fixing the problem told us the property was more than acceptable to move in and that she didn't feel comfortable anymore to have us has tenants,we then decided to cancel the agreement and walk away but this agent told us with had lost our £1350 month rent and is company would do us a favor in charging only£150 from our deposit to get new costumers to this amazing landlord,know we just found the property back on the market for the same £1350 but with new carpets everywhere new kitchen floor new shower and even new kitchen cupboard doors and draws(with who's money that was fixed with)so in total we spent £1350 rent. £150 compensation to agency,£150 van rental,£190 work day i lost for meeting plus had to pay £950 to my landlord to let us stay another month and all this two weeks before our summer holiday was due,what a great experience,be very careful when signing a letting

We rented a property in Allington through this company for several years. We were great tenants, always paying our rent on time and leaving the property very tidy. When we moved out we were charged an additional £200 for cleaning, which I found to be a complete rip off. They would not allow us to return to the property unless we hired a professional cleaning team This must be a common excuse for them to make extra revenue and not notifying the landlord. As a renter, I would not recommend hatch batten as they don't seem genuine
