Great experience

Clare was great, she took the time to go through all the information with me before the viewings and then she allowed us to look at multiple apartments and we didn't feel rushed at all. She also wasn't pushy and was just generally a really nice helpful person! Whilst the apartment wasn't right for me it was refreshing to be met and helped by someone who was just genuinely helpful. We have now been in our new build for a month and the support with the very minor issues we have had has been brilliant. Everything has been addressed quickly and competently. Purchased a new home in February 2021…

Purchased a new home in February 2021 and produced a snagging list. Two yrs and five months later we still await a resolution to many of the items on the snagging list. The after sales customer care is non existent, denying receiving emails, losing snagging lists, the excuses are endless. There is no complaints procedure, if you have a problem you have to tough it out with them. I was assured in January 2023 that all issues would be resolved by the end of March but I stupidly thought they meant March 2023. My wife and I are devastated by the amount of time and effort we have put in to getting things done, it is one excuse after another, last minute cancellations, failed appointments. I really wish I had never heard the name Crest Nicholson. They have no control over their sub contractors and absolutely no quality control or management.

Great Sales Executive at Ludlow

Georgia was fab when we visited site on Friday 23 August, she answered all of our questions clearly and understood our requirements. Although the development wasn’t right for us, we appreciated her time and the assistance she provided. Had the plot been located elsewhere on the site, we would have definitely reserved - looked to be great build quality, very spacious etc.

Kegworth Gate property viewing

After looking at details of the kegworth development and requesting brochures, I was contacted asking if I would like to view some of the available properties.I spoke to a lovely lady and arranged a viewing within a few hours. Claire at Cattershall Court was super friendly and communicative in the lead up to the viewing. She then took the time to understand my requirements and then showed me round different apartments to see what would suit me. I found this personalised approach to showing the apartments to be most beneficial when making such an important decision. Would highly recommend Claire and also these apartments in terms of their great location.

So far so good!!

So far my experience has been very positive with Crest Nicholson, they have been extremely polite, patient, understanding, thorough and professional. I first went to view the 2 bedroom houses back in May with my own property about to go on the market. Diane has kept in touch with me and as soon I was in a position to proceed I went to view and then reserve a plot. The reservation process/meeting with Sam was extremely thorough and very informative and having the folder with all the information to take away is very useful. Hoping we proceed in the same manner and I am in my new house very soon - thank you.

Lancaster Park

I am sure you would like this review taken down. It is my real experience with Crest and I will have my say.We have been in touch with your customer service department innumerable times, we have been visited by Customer Service Site Manager and overall manager. We have spoken to customer service director, all have same attitude. We have reached complaint with the NHBC ref 23/28945. We have more than given you opportunity to resolve our difficulties.Do you believe this comment credible, of course we have been in touch with customer services, they are the very problem. we purchased a new build on Lancaster Park, it has been the worst experience of our lives. The developer mis-sold, lied, cheated and bullied us, the quality of the build has been diabolical and 10 months since completing we spend as much time on the phone chasing issues to be rectified. We are not talking 'snagging', but major issues. There is a whatsapp group with more than 30% of the owners belonging and airing their complaints about Crest Nicholson. Customer Service is a joke, managed by a scruffy, ill spoken representative whose mission in life is to blaim everything that goes wrong with your house back to the homeowner. Despite several other houses all having the same issues and complaint. If you are thinking of buying a new home, visit the owners here at Lancaster Park all of whom can enlighten you.

Extremely disappointing and stressful experience

Buying a house unfortunately has been a very disappointing experience so far with Crest Nicholson. We were very excited to move into our new property only to be told when we arrived on move in day with all our belongings that most of the property was still covered in wet paint that made it almost impossible for the removal men to avoid, resulting in most of the paintwork being ruined. There has been an extremely large number of snagging issues identified and we are still awaiting most of these to be rectified after 7 months of living here despite regular requests. The finish of the property is poor. This has become a very stressful experience and I very much regret buying a Crest Nicholson property. I would urge others to consider before buying one. Having mainly lived in new build properties I was well aware what to expect but this whole experience has put me off ever purchasing a new build property again.

Lancaster Park plot 89…

My son and his girlfriend have recently purchased plot 89 and Crest Nicholson Lancaster Park development at West Malling Kent. From what we can see the homes are built to a very good standard and have many upgrades available to personalise your new home. Elle Rodgerson the sales executive on site couldn’t have been more charming and efficient. From our first meeting she has been very attentive and has very professionally guided my son and his girlfriend through the process. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Crest Nicholson and especially Elle to anyone interested in a new home. We are all now eagerly awaiting for the day Matthew and Lucy can pick up the keys to their new Crest Nicholson home and hope Elle will be available to join us on the patio for a glass of bubbles or two!Stuart Coleman.

Our experience with Crest Nicholson

In general our initial experience of buying a property from Chrest Nicholson’s development at Manor Park was pretty good.Sales staff were helpful and courteous. All queries from our side were adequately answered and upto the point of handover all was well. However,their after sale service in respect of addressing the various defects and repairs was very poor. It took us months after months of complaints and followups but the repairs were done only in bits and pieces.This was frustrating.. Finally the remaining issues were resolved two years after we moved into the property thanks to Mr Robert Harding. We would strongly recommend the company to improve their after sales service. This should improve their reputation as one of the largest builders in the country.

Cut Above the rest!

Lucy at Wycke Place Maldon was very helpful, professional and really knowledgeable on all aspects. The buying process was made easy and we was informed with step by step information from start to finish. Crest Nicholson you are lucky to have someone like Lucy who really makes you feel welcome, not like some of the competitor sites we have been looking on. I just hope the build and finish has the same quality when we move into the property soon.

Tadpole garden village is still far…

Tadpole garden village is still far from completed after more than a decade and last year we got together and reviewed Crest as awful. Guess what we started to see action. A year on we are still having problems and the area is still a mess. Roads not finished. Verges a mess. While I’m on the subject why has no one sorted out the problem on Lalique Close where once again we are fighting to have the communal green cut. Every year, same problem. Sort it out please.

Janet booked us in for an appointment on a Sunday. Sophie was most helpful. Happy to show us around various plots on site, including one of our house type under construction - this was helpful in determining room sizes & layout. I was a bit concerned about the size of the master bedroom with a built in wardrobe looming over the bed, Sophie explained that because the house wasn’t built yet we could ask for it not to be put in & possibly resite it to another room. She was full of helpful advice & good suggestions. We agreed to go through the ‘smooth move’ process. We’ve know sold and reserved our plot. Sophie came in early to minimise the time we needed to be in the office as we were required elsewhere in the country. We have been told we can call in the sales office at any time. Both Janet & Sophie have been helpful.
