GoogleI have seen both sides of the property management experience and been both the partner of a landlord and now a tenant. Yellands are a small (no offence) family run firm and exactly what you want if you are a landlord or tenant. They are helpful, knowledgeable, and professional. A world away from the larger faceless beasts (cough cough my namesake). I had an issue recently, and I could speak to them out of hours, which was wonderful. They sent a plumber who arrived in next-to-no time and have stayed in touch throughout, which is what you want as a tenant. I couldn't recommend them enough.

GoogleDO NOT USE THIS ESTATE AGENT. Absolutely disgusted with the service from Yellands. Initially they rented a very dated property, way below standard to my parents. From when they took the property there was always urgent maintenance and repairs required for years to bring the property up to standard and ensure it was habitable. All this aside, the property was kept in the best possible condition given the state it was received in. Although there was never an issue with payment of rent throughout the duration of the tenancy, and the property was retuned in a very favourable condition (it was painted and maintained by my family) the agent/land lord have refused repayment of the deposit as legally required.

We were disappointed that you felt the need to leave this review considering the excellent personal relationship we built with your family over the years.
Unfortunately, as the contract was broken mid term, the landlord was entitled to retain the deposit. If you disagreed with that, you had the option of raising a dispute with the Tenancy Deposit Scheme. The 50% return negotiated by us was in recognition of your parents’ excellent record as tenants. We wish you and yours all the best in your future endeavours.
