The estate agents Billy and Michael were absolutely wonderful from the very beginning of what can be a very emotional time, to the successful completion of sale. They were always professional, really knew what they were talking about, fantastic negotiators and amazingly patient and kind. I always appreciated their immediate response to calls and emails. I couldn’t recommend them and the agency more highly.

Fantastic service from Michael and the team at WJ Meade. The whole process from start to finish has been exceptional. Michael gave excellent advice at the outset on how best to sell the property. Within a couple of weeks of the property going on the market, around six viewings had been arranged and an offer (at asking price) was received. The process thereafter was very straightforward with regular and clear communications. I would highly recommend WJ Meade!

I’ve had to write this review again after deleting my first one. I basically viewed the flat without thinking about the closing or the curtains/blinds and because I didn’t ask for them I didn’t get them and that’s their reasoning. I mean it a standard items that you provide new tenants. This letting agent insist it was cleaned before I moved in but the videos I made says otherwise. This letting agent simply didn’t do a checkout review. Previous tenants got away not cleaning and I suffered in their incompetence and mismanagement. I mean the place wasn’t even touched and yet insist it was cleaned. The bath was dirty and if it was attempted to be cleaned they couldn’t have drained the water anyhow as the drain was completely blocked of hairs and gunk and slime. Fridge wasn’t clean and all around it wasn’t touched. There are maintenance issues but again missed because no checkout review was ever done and it if was then whoever did it must find another job to do. Still oil in the extractor, bathroom full of limescale, walls dirty, skirting board full of hairs and dirt everywhere, rubbish under the sink, kitchen not touched, exposed wires, toilet is brown not cleaned and yet despite all these overwhelming evidence they insist it was cleaned and the inventory says so. Laughable. I made the same review in Google with pictures to prove it and I also have videos and pictures on my phone to prove it. I have contacted this letting agent on many occasions but they won’t accept its their responsibility and that it was cleaned when videos and pictures proves otherwise.

One of our team has been assisting you throughout the whole move in process, and as you have not been satisfied with their response, it seems you felt the need to raise the grievance here. Whilst the photos attached certainly show some minor cleaning issues, these could have been resolved as soon as you have moved in, instead of months later. We apologise for these issues, but from our check in report, can see that generally the flat was given to you in a good state. Your point in regards to missing blinds is being investigated by your lettings manager, and they will be in touch. As the two points your raised only relate to teething issues at the start of the tenancy, we hope the rest of your tenancy is going well and please remember to contact us directly if you need to report any issues in the future. GoogleMy experience with this agency was incredibly disappointing. Despite sending an offer letter to them about a property, they failed to respond to my inquiries. There was no feedback on the outcome, and they never provided any updates or returned any calls in case I was still interested. I cannot recommend these agents due to their lack of communication and unresponsiveness. If you're looking for a reliable agency, it's best to explore other options.

They inform me that you sent an email offer to the lettings negotiator; George however your proposed date for move in was too late for the landlord to accept and you had then decided to proceed with another property. The negotiator has spoken with you on the phone and you did not express to him such negativity, so it is disheartening you felt you had to write this review online. GoogleDisgusted with the customer service from w.j Meade, one person in particular Gareth. After viewing a property and becoming interested, I was waiting to hear back after from him, when I finally did I was told she decided on someone else but wasn't set in stone as of yet and would keep me updated, to which I asked if he could help me with afew other properties I was interested in viewing etc, after texting, ringing and emailing (even the head office) I still haven't received a single update, text call or anything! Good morning Lucy, I am sorry to hear that you are dissatisfied with your experience with W J Meade. I have looked into this and can see that Gareth did try to assist you with the property you originally enquired about, but unfortunately the landlord has declined all applicants put forward and he made sure to update you. Gareth also informed you there was no other suitable properties that we had at the time, but he would get in touch if something came up. You contacted head office, but they do not deal with front end lettings, so please make sure that going forward you contact the branch in question where the property is being advertised. Billy and Alfie in sales, were polite and efficient in securing us a buyer and Michael was experienced, instrumental and proactive in closing the transaction, liaising with all parties and helping to guide us through the process (note his demeanour also suggested that there was no such thing as a stupid question from his client!)
