I had an absolutely fantastic experience with the entire team at Winkworth Parson's Green. From start to finish, they were professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly supportive throughout the whole process. I have to give a special shout-out to Faith - she was nothing short of amazing! Faith was efficient, proactive, and exceptionally well-connected. Thanks to her expertise and strong network, we were able to secure a buyer in less than a week - something I never imagined possible. Her communication was clear and very timely, and she made what can often be a stressful process feel seamless and well-managed. I’d also like to mention Finlay, his involvement was integral, and it was clear he worked closely and effectively with Faith and the rest of the team to make everything come together so quickly and smoothly. Faith and her team at Winkworth are excellent at their job. Faith’s advice on the marketing strategy and the price point of my flat in Parson’s Green was spot on. She was as keen to get the flat sold as I was which I think is a reflection of Faith being the owner and director rather than being part of a ruthless corporation which is all about targets and not what is best for the client. Fabulous experiences both buying and selling through the team at Winkworth over the last couple of years! Lily was fabulous at learning what we were looking for and helping us secure the right place, and Fin went above and beyond to sell our flat at a price we were happy with and we secured an offer in under a month. We all know the property sales process in the UK can be complicated and they really did what they could to get the sale across the line with a human touch. We just got our deposit back but what a nightmare!! Posting this so people know they're not alone if Winkworth tries to screw you over. They were great until they weren’t (which is why I'm guessing they have so many good reviews from people who've experienced them "selling" to you). Exactly the kind of estate agents that give the profession a bad name. We were very good tenants for three years (friendly relationship with Janie, rent always paid on time, flat well kept, issues reported promptly, passed every inspection), yet when we decided to moved out due to their non-negotiable rent increase they got nasty fast. Despite us offering flexibility in our move out date as a gesture of goodwill, they repeatedly ignored the 24-hour notice rule and let themselves in for viewings without knocking. After a few weeks Poppy sent us a shockingly condescending email after a last minute early morning viewing blaming our unmade bed on that day for the flat not being taken yet (rather than the high rent and obvious mold in many rooms, damp, cracks, and old furnishings we’d reported and treated on our own for years...). Of course we stopped being so flexible with our move out date after a message like that! At move-out, after paying £200+ for a professional end of tenancy cleaning, they tried to strong-arm us into paying for another full end of tenancy clean just hours before the new tenant was supposed to move in. Despite little evidence of an insufficient clean, we paid to have our cleaner come back. however I don't think they expected us to do this as winkworth had painters working throughout the property (our cleaner took photos as evidence)!! Of course Winkworth went ahead without consulting us and charged us an additional £360 anyway for a third professional clean... I can only guess that this was to clean up after their own contractors had left. They then explicitly lied to TDS about the timing of our cleaner (trying to claim that the cleaner wasn't there long enough) but thankfully Winkworth accidentally forwarded us an internal email chain where they admitted the cleaner had actually been at the flat considerably longer. This was all shared with TDS... Three months later we finally got our full deposit back through TDS, but it was an exhausting unnecessary fight that felt like a blatant attempt to screw us over.
