Their purportedly fully managed letting services involved no inspections (automatically or after asking for one to be undertaken), resulting in 6 people residing in my flat - as opposed to the 2 people named on the tenancy agreement - who trashed everywhere and stole my belongings. Stirling Ackroyd's lack of advice or proper service meant I could not claim back a fraction of the damage and loss from the deposit. They also failed to serve notice to terminate the tenancy on time. Stirling Ackroyd committed serious failings, causing me an immense amount of misery and loss.

Sheldan Bechie was the best!! Everything with SA was so smooth. Sheldan Bechie​​​​, Letting Consultant was AMAZING! He was quick to arrange several viewings into one day, which is extremely helpful when you have a busy schedule. He drove us around and I was extremely happy when he found the perfect one. From that point onwards, the team's communication was great, with them arranging a call with the landlord and efficiently completing all the referencing and admin work within a week. Their online portal is easy to use and very helpful. The team kept me updated throughout. I can't recommend them enough.

This agent failed to put an accurate floor plan on the details before going to market. Personal items were removed from the property when vacant after two doors were left unlocked. Alterations were made to pipe work by the buyer prior to completion without our knowledge. We were reassured that company managers would address these issues and contact us. They never did. We would recommend avoiding this agent.

Having contacted Stirling Ackroyd for a valuation on my property, I was sufficiently impressed by my interview with Claire Donaldson that Stirling Ackroyd were my choice over 2 other estate agents, to deal with the sale of my property. She was clear, polite and thorough in her presentation and did not make me feel hurried in any way. On going into the office after I had instructed solicitor's, I asked for help in setting up some Portal Login system the solicitors had asked me to do. Claire readily agreed to help me and must have spent 2 hours dealing with it, including scanning documents to be sent to the solocitors. She has continued to check how the purchase of a new property is progressing and to offer help if needed. Darren and Ali were appointed to deal with viewings. I was kept informed as to viewing dates and times and each were at my home prior to the persons viewing, saving me the need to be involved unless a question arose that needed my imput. Given the slump in the market, I and family, were pleasantly surprised in the number of viewings and which resulted in offers. At all times I felt confident that my interests were being cared for and only recently recommended Stirling Ackroyd to a neighbour who is thinking of moving in the spring next year. I cannot praise enough the service I have received and would highly recommend the team.

Worst ever experience! There was an issue with my fridge that it was no longer functioning and instead of having someone to look at it the agent suggested to keep my food outside. She couldn’t even give me some timeframe as to how long it should take to send someone to repair it. Awful costumer service.

Jordan and the team at Stirling Ackroyd were very professional from start to finish. Where many local agents failed to see the potential unique features of our home Jordan took the time to understand and find well suited potential buyers, leading to multiple offers where previously we had experienced only frustration. Once under offer, we were kept well informed at every stage of the process up until completion with regular email and voice communications. The only downside was the conveyancing solicitor recommended by Stirling Ackroyd. However, the excellent sales progressors compensated for this by chasing up the solicitor on our behalf. We are happy with the personal service received and definitely recommend Stirling Ackroyd.

Claire was instrumental and key to my purchase going through in time. I also want to thank Sophie for facilitating the sale in the end stages of completion. As a first time buyer, when you don't know the process, you want an estate agent to guide you through the process and chase the relevant people on your behalf and that's exactly what Townends did. They were the glue that held communication between all parties together. Claire went above and beyond by organising a secondary solicitor for me that was required at the 11th hour of my purchase and without that insider knowledge/contacts I don't think my sale would have gone through.
