GoogleAbsolutely terrible service from Townends lettings. My boyfriend and I took a morning of holiday from work to view a property, but the agent emailed 10 minutes after the arranged time to cancel because he had a "Monday morning meeting". When I pushed for further explanation (I called), he told me the property we wanted had been taken off the market the day before. I then went to Townsend to ask what was going on, at which point they told me it was still available and took me to see it. We offered the asking rent price, signed all the forms and gave our card details to pay the holding deposit. 4 days later, after daily calls, we finally found out the property had been taken by someone else!! So much wasted time and energy. Completely unprofessional and useless agents - go literally anywhere else. PS. Completely extortionate fees, four times what we eventually paid elsewhere

GoogleOne week ago I went to see a property and I liked, I did the procedure, made an reasonable offer to the landlord and gave my bank's details, I don't understand why it took too long to the agent to give me the answer from the landlord and at the end, the answer from the agent was the landlord received a better offer and if I wanted to take it I will need to make a better offer, all this on space of 30 minutes, so my question is: it works as an auction playing who give more. If the answer is yes, why this property is still available on internet? because all this was very disappointed and a huge waste of time.

GoogleAvoid this agency at all costs! Completely unprofessional, and rude. The agent didn't show up to the appointment to show us the property and left us there, without even the decency to pick up the phone or reply to my messages. We had a confirmed appointment and Ryan, the agent, delegated someone else to show us the property but nobody ever showed up. Utterly unprofessional, do not let them waste your time. Also regarding the fees, they were not entirely transparent and, apparently, up for negotiation after I threathened to go somewhere else. Again, avoid at all costs!!

GoogleHonestly just THE worst. Couldn't care less during tenancy and treatment post tenancy was criminal. Including handing the keys over to the reception desk on moving day, to be informed later that they will be charging us £54 abortion fees, essentially for them misplacing them internally. 3 weeks later have managed to negotiate removing the fee. Still ringing daily to remind them who we are and that we haven't heard back from them... Farcical.
