We have dealt with John D Wood in Wandsworth both to purchase a property and to sell one. Our experience has been positive, particular with Stewart Harrison, Head of Sales, who was extremely responsive, knowledgeable and on the ball. Stewart always took the time to speak to us, answer questions and give advice. Jimmy Gallagher was also fantastic.

She was warm and personable, in which I felt comfortable in being honest with her regarding my thoughts and questions. She assisted me with all queries from the very start, in which I had many as you’d expect from a first time buyer. Andrina had made my experience a highly pleasant one in which I felt reassured until the end. I honestly am so thankful that she was in charge of my property purchase. Great overall experience when renting a flat in Fulham through John D Wood.Eduard Popa was extremely helpful with my flat search. He was able to address all questions about the property I was inquiring about in a very professional and reliable manner.Finding a flat in February 2022 when most companies and universities are asking people to come back to London had become an impossible mission, taking most of my evenings and weekends.I walked into John D Wood at 10am on a Saturday, and by 2.30pm, my offer had been accepted and one week deposit paid to secure the property. Eduard removed the property from the website in front of me to avoid any future misunderstandings. The rest of the team were really helpful in the following days as we worked through the references process and the tenancy agreement.Eduard, Abigail and Lola, a team of superstars at John D Wood Fulham!I definitely recommend this team to anyone looking for a flat in Fulham.

I would like to put 0 or less but it’s not possible, the estate agent John D Wood in Weybridge it’s a joke so unprofessional, ignoring customers after paying the deposit, only to don’t return them back with the pathetic excuse (Tegan Ellis).I don’t understand how can existing on the market the estate agency like this one , with so many 1 star reviews, apparently they try to take advantage and don’t return the money because I’m foreigner .Giorgio Mitu

It’s so refreshing to work with agents that really care about the entire letting process & not just getting the contract signed! The Battersea Team were brilliant to deal with in the sale of our property. Fred in particular was fantastic to deal with throughout the sale process. As we were immigrating to New Zealand during the sale process and had departed the UK after accepting an offer but before exchange of contracts, Fred was exceptional with providing feedback and assisting us when opposite time zones were a challenge. I would have no hesitation recommending John D Wood to other sellers in Battersea and a big thanks to Fred for all his help!

To describe the agents of the Wandsworth branch of John D Wood as 'incompetent' is to do that word a disservice. Their inability to do even the most basic elements of their job would be hysterically funny if you were not the one to bear the brunt of their idiocy. From the moment I moved in as a tenant to when landlord sold the house, any interaction with John D Wood would leave me agog at how utterly useless and unnecessarily aggressive they were at their jobs. They treated us tenants as though we were pests and an annoying inconvenience. Their bias towards our landlord wasn't hidden, and we were lucky that we had a good relationship with him that CCing him into our communications with John D Wood would lead to a solution to whatever we were trying to sort out. They surpassed themselves in incompetency when our landlord sold our house. "24 hours notice for viewings? Nah, we'll just turn up with interested buyers when we want." I came home early from work one day to find viewers ALONE IN THE HOUSE who said that the agent had "just left". Said agent also insisted that we allow the eventual buyers bring their family around on a day to view that we had said multiple times that we could not accommodate, making a viewing appointment and not turning up to the viewing, leaving me to deal with the frustrated would-be viewers. But a standout communication from this agent was when we emailed our concerns about potentially not being able to move should a national lockdown occur and being told that we were "being unnecessarily hysterical" and being "ensnared by media speculation". Upon that, we decided to leave sooner than we had planned, which turned out to be a couple of days before lockdown happened.There is also no internal communication between agents and a lot of buck-passing from what I can gather. TL;DR John D Wood's agents are incompetent, useless at their jobs, aggressive and dismissive to tenants, will not reply to communications from tenants, but will harass tenants almost hourly if they want something done "ASAP". Avoid at all costs if you are looking to rent, and be wary if you are a landlord/looking to sell.

I'd like to thank the whole team at John D Wood in South Kensington and in particular Umar and Angelo for introducing a buyer and working together with all parties (solicitors, managing agents, freeholders, buyer and vendor) in a friendly, personalised and dedicated way from start to finish. Although the whole process - from offer and sales memorandum till exchange of contracts and completion of the sale at the agreed price - took approximately 12 weeks, Umar and Angelo have always kept me informed of every single step towards achieving a successful sale. It was often just a text or quick phone call - even on a Sunday - which kept me motivated throughout the process. I believe that with John D Wood I have been in very good hands and would therefore highly recommend them.

They are the worst letting agent we’ve ever dealt with, do not rent or buy with this company, complete incompetence at all levels of management. They will cost you money, time, stress & potentially your health, it is not worth it! When we moved out we also recieved our deposit back in full just for clarity. (Though it took much longer than it should have)

We have recently had to move during COVID. It was incredibly stressful and made worse when we found ourselves unable to access our deposit back through no fault of our own. At first I was not happy with the responses I was getting until Rupert Simmonds stepped in. He went above and beyond to cut through red tape and help us to get our deposit back in full. Rupert is a credit to John D Wood!
