There’s a reason why Houseman & Holmes are such a well-known and respected local estate agent. We recently sold our property in Golders Green through them and were really pleased with the service we received from start to finish. Richard was incredibly helpful throughout the process and, when we ran into an unexpected complication during the sale, he was always on hand to offer advice, get involved where needed and used his knowledge and local connections to help move things along. His experience of the local market really showed and it was reassuring to have him involved throughout the sale. We wouldn’t hesitate to use Houseman & Holmes again and would happily recommend Richard and the team to friends and family. Thank you for helping us get the sale over the line!

Deleted my previous 5* review. They are absolutely perfect, until you sign the rental agreement. We dealt with a terrifying landlord with a nasty temper and the contempt we were treated by H&H was absolutely shocking. When I made a formal complaint detailing the insane things we'd gone through they lied about having already called and spoken to me and said the complaint was resolved. When they checked their phone records and couldn't find the call, they made up a story saying they must have called me on a different number. We received no apology, no help, just disdain. You can forget about leaving with your deposit too. They very clearly don't care about the wellbeing of the people they rent to.

As a tenant, I cannot recommend this agency. The tenancy agreement included a clause requiring one month’s notice at the end of a fixed-term tenancy. We considered this clause to be unfair, and the agency attempted to charge us additional rent based on it. We disputed this and raised the matter with the deposit protection scheme, which ultimately ruled fully in our favour. Separately, we had to take the landlord to court to recover the cost of repairs that we had paid for ourselves after the landlord failed to reimburse us. The landlord accepted our claim and repaid us in full. Based on my experience, tenants should be aware of their rights and proceed with caution when dealing with this agency.

This agency looks after its tenants very well. Every maintenance issue is resolved quickly and professionally. Recently, our old windows and patio door were replaced by a very friendly and professional contractor without any hassle.

Our list of requirements was optimistic to the point of unachievable yet Richard met every request with ‘no problem’. Buyer found, we were asked questions that we couldn’t answer about our property. Thankfully, Richard was extremely proactive, drawing on his plentiful connections to find the people who could. Nothing was impossible, no point insurmountable. We are beyond grateful for all the patience, tenacity and belief put in by Richard and the team at Hausman and Holmes, thank you! We can't recommend them highly enough.

Having used Hausman & Holmes for over 6 years now, there is no other Estate agent in Golders green I would consider switching to. Having recently purchased another property to rent, I found Adam Rosenfeld to be very cooperative obtaining the best tenants suitable for the property at the time frame & rent we wished to achieve. Richard & Joseph also have always been exceptionally professional & customer focused and provide Inventories & photographs second to none giving myself as a Landlord a peace of mind knowing my property is in great hands for the 12 month period.

Staff member Adam Rosenfeld Property location Golders Green Rent £2200 per month Hausman and Holmes are a dynamic and customer based agency. Im very happy in choosing them to rent out my property. I had it on the market with a large corporate agent for several weeks to know avail. It was costing me hundreds of pounds a week in lost rent. After instructing Hausman and Holmes they came out on the day took, professional photographs and even made two the same afternoon. Within three days they had an acceptable offer. I was over the moon. The whole process was made easy. All paperwork was emailed to me and a statement of account was completed and the money was in my account within seven days of move in. They even took care of the inventory and pre tenancy clean. I look forward to using Hausman and Holmes for years to come. A special mention to Adam Rosenfeld who's professionalism and customer service went far beyond the call of duty.
