GoogleIn November I was told that my landlord was selling the flat. It was a stressful situation and it was suggested to me that I should try and buy the property. When I decided to go for it, Daniel was helpful and supportive from start to finish. He helped me understand the process and would check in with me to make sure I was kept up to date. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to rent, buy or sell 😊

GoogleWhen I had a property to sell in Plumstead, I chose Goodwin Ellis to manage the sale as they had been very helpful and happy to share their market knowledge and advice in previous years, at a time when the property was not up for sale. Daniel led the sale and, since the property had been previously tenanted, he made suggestions regarding improvements which might lead to a better return. Since I live nearer to Brighton than London, Daniel not only recommended his own builder, but orchestrated access and project management of these reparations, which were not always straight-forward (with a secondary thanks to Tom, of Starlight Building Services!). Daniel, with the support of Laura, then handled the property sale, arranging viewings and keeping me fully in the loop regarding progress. When issues arose with the gas supply not only did Daniel give advice, but he personally attended the property on multiple occasions, checking out & trying to fix the issue. He arranged access multiple times for the tradespeople, the gas engineer, and the potential buyer - all because I lived so far away. This was all way above and beyond my expectations (and probably his!) and was very much appreciated, smoothing the path for a final closure on the sale once the issue was resolved. I cannot recommend Goodwin Ellis enough - or Daniel, in particular - for all their expertise, commitment and friendly support throughout what can be (and was!) a very stressful process. If I had another property in London, I would definitely use them again.

He has worked tirelessly with all parties to sell the property, has displayed extreme levels of patience and can be highly recommended. Dan and Laura were brilliant in managing the delicate balance between our requests for surveys (accommodating even to the last minute) and the impatience of the seller. GoogleHi, I rent the house from them for three years, everything was fine, they were happy whenever they did an inspection, always happy with the house the way I kept, I moved from this property in February, they are not giving me my deposit.too much stress taking a deposit back.

GoogleA good name. But that's all. Very poor customer service. Overrated as an estate agency. Don't know the difference between Lodger and Tenant. Refuses to give you references that you pay for. Don't want to know, if you have any issues with the Lodger or tenant. In it for the money alone. Would never use their service again. You use an agent to get you good vetted lodger. But end up with tenant from hell. No reference provided until 3 days after Lodger has gone. He had to leave. Was asked too vacate the room in the home. You complain about the threatening behaviour you had and the state of the room. Told by one of the male agents. All you do is complain. He doesn't want to know. Told him. Will take the matter further. Then a reference is sent through on 31st March. Lodger was gone on 28th March. How do they justify this. Couldn't even get the dates correct. It was a 6 months contract. But 1 year was written on the Reference when finally received. Although giving out References is not their policy. Even when you are charged for it. Poor service.

GoogleTerrible experience with this estate agent. They failed to disclose crucial information about a property, including a bankruptcy notice, and the seller's unresponsiveness wasted months of our time, energy, and money. It became clear during correspondence that the agent was well aware the seller was difficult to deal with, as they admitted to having similar issues with the same seller on multiple other properties. The seller used a free online solicitor service, which was hopeless and caused further delays. When we ultimately had to pull out, the agent didn’t seem very sincere and didn’t even bother to reply when we informed them. The property is still on and off the market years later, clearly, other buyers are encountering the same issues. This agent needs to do a much better job vetting their clients to avoid wasting people's time.

They’ve always been polite, approachable, and genuinely understanding. After years of dealing with student rentals and challenging landlords, renting through them has been a refreshing change. I couldn’t recommend them more highly.

Yell2 property purchases during lockdown
Jones Real Estate Ltd bought 2 properties in the same year durning the height of lockdown. We faced a very difficult and highly stressful challenge securing lending, working with solicitors, local authorities etc. Throughout the 2 sales Daniel done a excellent job managing the Executors expectations of both properties. Very sensitive sales handled with expertise and care. Daniel is great to work with ⭐️

GoogleI have had dealings with Goodwin Ellis ever since 2013 when I bought a flat in Woolwich through them. Since then I have used their services for finding all my new tenants. I find them honest, straight talking and a nicer bunch of Agents would be hard to find. They are really helpful and do their best to ensure that you get the best results whether selling or renting.

GoogleThis people are agents of devil 😈 and not Estate agents. They are busy stealing from people and taking advantage of people situation. All the agents there are all thieves. Very heartless people with no conscience at all. Do not waste time and money on this people as they will extort from you and claim you have no required documents. Their office needs to be close down. They are the most wicked people you will meet in your renting journey!!!

GoogleOver 9 years Goodwin Ellis managed our buy-to-let rental property and also the eventual sale. As rental agents, they were quick to resolve issues with the property and have a network of reasonably priced tradespeople. The sale process was slow and difficult due to market timing and other external events. Goodwin Ellis were excellent - they worked hard to ensure a price we were happy with and kept the process moving all the way to completion.
