Maria and her team we so helpful and was always there to help.Jessica from Chingford helped me buy my new home. As soon as she see it she called and knew this would be the perfect new home for me. There was nothing both teams wouldn’t do to help me. They were and still are at the end of the phone if I have any questions to be answered I wouldn’t have been able to do this without them. Not your average Estate Agent.From the moment we started our house search the Team at Chingford were amazing.Jake was great at keeping us updated of new properties coming into the market and thankfully we found through Douglas Allen as when it came to offering James and Jess were very helpful and professional. After 2 years and 2 failed attempts through other agents Jess was the one who finally enabled us to make the move that we had been desperately trying to achieve and we can't thank her and the team enough. Douglas Allen in Woodford will get your home sold and they are really good to deal with!

My property had been on the market for two months with an independent estate agent, they were nice people but even after two months, I had no offers despite all of the feedback being really positive. I decided to contact Douglas Allen because I'd heard good things and I can honestly say those good things are true! I met Steve who is one of the Branch Partners and his enthusiasm and genuine commitment and love for his job shines through. He walked into my home and was enthusiastic about selling it and really wanted me to know that I could trust him to do a good job. He was professional and persuasive at all times and he motivates the younger members of his team to be extremely customer focused and enthusiastic too. I got two offers within two weeks of my flat being on the market with Douglas Allen and I have now accepted an offer. Steve has been in communication with me every day and is available by email, phone and text. I also thought it was really good how the sellers online web area is updated regularly. I could see literally minute to minute what the sales team were doing to sell my home and I could see at one glance what the viewers were saying about my home. I was impressed at how diligently this information was kept up to date. Steve also helped me to think through the purchase of my new build property and I really appreciated that too. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Steve and his team, they are still there to take care of me until the sale completes and I find this really reassuring.

East Ham Branch - Property Sold Holborn Road, Plaistow E13 8Pb

I was originally going to go with another agency but was stopped in my tracks by what Douglas Allen had to offer. My property was sold in under 2 weeks, I did not expect it to go so quickly and from the beginning to the end Natasha who works at the East Ham Branch kept me updated with the sale process, arranging viewings, open days and keeping me in the loop regarding the feed back. I also had dealt with Andrew from the East Ham branch who was absolutely brilliant, he was so professional and chased up the buyers solicitors, constantly communicating with all involved including our new build and our solicitors. Andrew made the whole transaction smooth and hassle free, taking away my stress and advising me on realistic timescales. The relationship built with him was not only professional but it was also pleasurable to hear his reassuring voice at the end of the phone took the panic out of the experience..I shall miss that voice. I think selling and buying a new house at the same time and being in a chain is stressful enough so you really need to choose your agencies wisely and I have to be honest so that others who have take the time to read my review wouldn't automatically choose the cheapest but choose the best and make sure you understand what you are getting for your money.

Attentive, hard working and honestWe recently completed our purchase through Douglas Allen and we are very happy with the service overall. Andy Dumas understood what we were after and showed us several appropriate properties for our budget and taste. Andy was very attentive and helpful and we would recommend him and DA in general to any prospective buyers. They know the area well and work hard for you. We also were served well by other staff including Greg and Keith who helped push the purchase through as quickly as possible. Picking an estate agent is tough and there are a lot of bad ones out there, but I speak honestly when I say that I did not see anything I didn't like about the way DA conducted its business and I'm very happy with the outcome. Having tried selling with cheaper alternatives and being let down I thought it was time I give Douglas Allen a chance. After months of not selling Daniel really lifted my spirits and presented a strategy to get me moving. My hopes and expectations were set high but true to his word Daniel got me the price he promised (which was actually more than the offers I was getting with cheaper alternatives). The process went very smoothly and I was actually kept up to date along the way which I never thought would happen (due to bad experiences in the past). We met with a number of agents all offering us a cheaper fee but from the get go we were instantly impressed with Michelle's professionalism, knowledge but most of all her enthusiasm she did an outstanding job. introducing us to a unique selling method called "BEST OFFERS" ensuring us that this would be the best way to sell our home, with superior marketing that would reach the widest audience and achieve the very best price, confirming that it was the final amount we walked away with was the most important thing. Douglas Allen were the only agent who offered this structured style of marketing, it was two open houses and this gave all interested buyers a fair opportunity to submit their best offer. "what a result" multiple sealed bids on the closing day and we ended up achieving a massive £30,000 over the advertised price. This has made a huge difference to our lives, thank god we didn't go elsewhere this could've been the most expensive mistake we would have made.True to their word the excellent service did not stop there, when we signed up we were told by Michelle that once we agreed a sale Chelsey would assist us in getting the sale through. I found the service from Douglas Allen Pretty good on the whole, Found that the team members Jordan Stoute and Will Nash were excellent. Both were a pleasure to speak to and work with, took away most of the stress of the buying process.The main negative experience is that after having the offer accepted on the house after seeing the house for less than 10mins on the open house day, we were not able to get a second viewing until getting the keys for the property. called on 3 separate occasions to try and arrange, and on no occasion was this arranged or facilitated.

We first contacted Douglas Allen over the phone where I spoke to Jordan and gave him a brief idea of what we were looking for in a property. From that he arranged a viewing for us although we didn't like the property he took on board all our comments and the following Saturday both Jordan & Joe arranged a few viewings for us all within 20 minutes of each other which we really appreciated as it saved us time. All the houses we viewed were exactly to our specifications and we were impressed that our comments were taken on board. This same level of service carried on for the next few weekends saving me and my partner a lot of time in having to arrange appointments as this was all done for us. After each weekend viewing either Jordan or Joe would contact us the following Monday to get our opinions. Any time we had a question or query if they did not know the answer they would come back to asap which we really appreciated. Greg said that a new marketing strategy and his client database he has he could get us sold. As a man of his word after just 2 weekends of viewings I sold for 5k more than I was on the marker for and after just 8 weeks of being on we have now exchanged. Paris had helped us secure our new flat in Pilgrims Hatch which we have now finally settled in to. Maureen and her team, were very helpful all the way through the process of selling our property and buying our new home, although we found our new property with a seperate estate agent, they were always available to help with advice. It was a shame to be informed Waseem had left as he was a true asset to the team, very professional, and personable, always went out of his way to make sure we were being taken care of, I'm sure he will have a successful career in the property industry! I felt Greg, Steve and Keith were a reliable, professional and proactive team. Greg did a great job selling our house, negotiating and getting a decent price (over the asking). He offered no-nonsense, straight forward guidance (which we asked for!) and we strongly felt he was looking after our interests. He was approachable and helpful and we felt he went that extra mile to make our lives easier, dropping of keys, etc. Steve was impactful when the sale had problems and we felt, with his experience and forceful nature, he got the results we wanted and was always clear, concise and quick to feed back to us. Keith was invaluable in tying up the final weeks of the sale, and saved me many back and forth phone calls with solicitors, etc, as he dealt with the whole chain himself - which became very complicated, so we were very glad we had a strong team on our side. We were initially sceptical about paying a commission to an estate agency, but now feel we got our money's worth and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Douglas Allen and the Woodford team.

Thanks to all the team at Douglas Allen for selling my property in Walthamstow. My first encounter was via a phone call to Nathan in Walthamstow, immediately I was reassured by his honesty and depth of knowledge in relation to the reality of selling. He was not pushy or fixated on inflated prices, he was very honest about the process and asked me questions which I had not even thought about. Following my phone conversation with Nathan I decided to sell my flat at this time and it was the best decision ever. Thank you Nathan. I felt confident with Douglas Allen from the beginning. A huge thanks goes to Andrew Bilby the Sales Progressor, Andrew was the constant link between all parties and I really felt he had great respect and time for everyone he was dealing within this sale, he was so professional throughout. Sale of House

I required a quick sale in order to secure a house on which I had made an offer. Daniel from the Barkingside Branch gave me an honest opinion of the best way to go about a quick sale and stressed that the conversation would have been very different had I been asking for a straight valuation and been prepared to wait for a good price. As promised they began marketing the property as soon as I had signed up and the buyer had been secured before the photos had even been taken for the brochure. As recommended I had a board outside and a further 2 offers were received within the first week. Both Umad and Daniel were very helpful and when not available whoever answered the phone was able to quickly check my file and update me on progress. I also used Barnes & Partners Solicitors via the E-Move team as recommended by Douglas Allen as I felt it would be prudent to have the solicitors handling my sale and purchase working in close liaison with the Estate Agents. I have no complaints about their efficiency but I do feel that Andrew from the E-Move team was the more proactive in pushing forward with the exchange of contracts and keeping everyone informed of progress.I feel I made the right choice in Estate Agents and have no complaints.
