RENTERS BEWARE - black mould, rusty items, not move-in ready flats, dirty, terrible service quality, delayed payments, legal threats. I wish I could give Domus Nova 0 stars. I have lived in 10+ countries, traveled to 90+ countries, and am a luxury travel content creator…. and Domus Nova is by far the worst real estate company I’ve ever dealt with! I paid 4200£ for 5 week short let for a ~50sqm flat in Queens Park. Initially, I was hesitant to sign a short let for a flat with Domus Nova because of an entire side of the flat is windows and is exposed to everyone entering the building on the ground floor - as a single female, I did not feel safe. The agent, Aoife, promised that the windows would be tinted prior to my move-in and added into my tenancy agreement, but just 3 hours prior to my arrival, I was told the windows have not been done and she is unsure when they will be done. It took over 20% of the duration of my lease for anyone to come fix the windows. Second, when I arrived at this “luxury” flat, there was BLACK MOULD in the shower, completely rusted over pans, lime washed kettle, lights not working at all, many small broken items, and the flat was not cleaned with spider webs in all corners and windows. Domus Nova did not respond to me about any of these issues until five days later, was completely unapologetic, and unhelpful. Even after sending photos that clearly show areas of black mould spores and rusted over items, Angelica from Domus Nova said “The landlord is not looking to re-silicone the shower at this time unfortunately nor are they looking to replace the pans and kettle.” I had to sit in the dark at night for 6 nights because the landlord refused to fix the lights. Look at the photos for yourself, would you want to pay high end prices for this level of quality and service? It was only until I threatened to take legal action that anything changed, and even then, it took weeks to get any action. There was never a promise that was actually done on time during the entirety of my lease duration, which included getting my deposit back. It took an over 3 weeks to get my deposit back and only because I, again, threatened for legal action. My experience with Domus Nova was an absolute nightmare and living here was traumatic for me as I still had to live in the flat as they would not let me cancel my lease despite the terms that they already breached from their side. My time in London was destroyed and painful dealing with them almost everyday with issues throughout the 5 weeks.

A brilliant experience selling my home - from the valuation, to getting a sale a month later, through to completion. They are an incredibly dedicated, knowledgable, passionate and professional team. I've had a very good experience working with Domus Nova for some years now and would recommend them as an estate agent. I own a property in Notting Hill which I have rented out via Domus Nova since 2016, and I have been consistently satisfied by their level of professionalism. I live in America and so working as a landlord from overseas can at points be a challenge, but Andrew and his team have been great in offering their assistance and informative guidance when it's been needed. As a whole the company is respectful toward their clients and aim for level of quality and efficiency when dealing with properties on and off the market.

This was the latest of many property deals I have done using Domus Nova and the quality of service and the people they employ is why I keep coming back to them. Josh was fantastic through the whole process. He brought great buyers, always arrived promptly for viewings (or early to set up the flat if we were not home) and stayed in constant communication throughout the process before, during and after exchange and completion. Then only star I will give is for Jacqui and Georgina. They were the only positive experience when working with Domas Nova. Georgia Hubbard was aggressive, rude, unprofessional and made us feel extremely uncomfortable. Not to mention, our unit was moldy. We had to throw out 3+ pairs of designer shoes because mold grew on them in one of the rooms. I would never use this company again. Absolute nightmare.
