We recently engaged Districts London to find a tenant. We found them highly professional throughout the process. Indeed they went over and above. We note an unfavourable review concerning holding deposits. Holding deposits are taken to hold the property for the prospective tenant whilst checks on them are done. The checks do not only cover affordability. They also covers CCJs, prior rental history etc. The results are passed to the landlord. If the landlord decides not to proceed, the holding deposit is returned and the agent then re-starts the tenant search. Districts London manage our property. Unlike most agents who state they inspect properties they manage, Districts London actually do it on a regular basis. They also ensure properties are checked when tenants move out. This includes checking on the state of them. Properties not left in a reasonable state will be dealt with by Districts London if requested by the landlords. Agents are agents of the landlord - not the tenants.

Extremely disappointing service from this agency.I paid a holding deposit to secure my property, completed referencing and was told despite exceeding the required income that “the landlord had rescinded my offer 2 days prior to moving in and had instead gone with another tenant. (Paying the holding deposit, means nothing clearly) all of this was done within 1 working day. They did not have the curtesy to call instead they sent me a what’s app message. Stay away they only act in the interest of the landlord. Awful service.
