Our experience with Dexters was amazing and this was due in large part to Emily and Josephine. Given the speed of the London rental market, it can be tricky to find a flat. Emily was great. She took the time to listen to what we wanted and our budget and was constantly on the lookout for a flat that fit our criteria. We ended us finding our flat because Emily relentlessly searched new listings, even outside of normal business hours, with us in mind. We felt like she really went above and beyond for us. Because of Emily we were able to be the first to view a flat that had just hit the market and decided to take it on the spot. After locating the flat, we continued to benefit from Dexters’ professional team with the help of Josephine, who answered all our remaining questions about the tenancy agreement and other admin topics. Overall, we really enjoyed working with Dexters. They were able to make a stressful process as seamless as possible and if we need to relocate, we will definitely be reaching out to Emily and her team.

Jadasa was Dexter’s saving grace when I was encountering trouble with the landlords and the rest of the members of the agency I spoke with who weren’t as willing to help. Polite, reassuring, kind and honest she is one of the few honest people operating at Dexter’s and in the rental market. She was timely, professional and most importantly human. The 3 stars are only because of her, I would give her 5 stars and the agency a single star. There was one other senior leader at the agency who gave his 150% to help us. Unfortunately, I don’t remember his name. I cannot say the same about the person who showed us the property, Luke. Just because the contract with the landlords was supposed to be through Dexter’s he lied to us about the break clause and the landlords’ take on the break clause. We later found out he hadn’t even spoken to them about the break clause. An honest transaction could have saved both parties a lot of trouble during COVID lockdown. Same was the case when it came to getting our deposit back at the end of the tenancy. The person, Kourosh, who was assigned to our case was most negligent. He did not get back to us with any information on closing our account within the 10 days after move out. Despite multiple emails for a month, I finally had to email Jadasa to look into it. When he finally got back, we weren’t given a proper breakdown of the charges. It took almost another 2 months for Kourosh to get back to us with the details of the charges (an example: we were being charged £20 to remove a piece a paper which should have been removed during the deep clean which we had gotten through Dexter’s!). Most of these charges should never have been assigned to us and on threat of opening a dispute with TDS, the charges were brought down from approx. £500 to our goodwill gesture of £60. Please know your rights as a tenant before moving in or out.

So, I only have positive things to say about our experience with Luke. I was really impressed by the way he got to know our taste and understand our needs. We felt we were in the best hands, and there is no doubt that we were. We found an apartment in three days, which I think is so unlikely in any other place. My boyfriend and I deeply appreciate the service Luke provided to us, for us this is a priority and during the whole search we felt Luke got our back. Right now we are súper excited for the apartment we are moving in and have Luke to thank for. Another thing I think is worth mentioning is Luke's proactiveness. I found my new flat in London through Dexters. Miss Andrada Statie was my consultant and she was a delight. Very helpful, providing all the information I needed in order to rent a place just by seeing a video of it.
