We recently purchased our home through Dexters Clapham, and overall had a really positive experience. Fergus was friendly, professional and a pleasure to deal with throughout the process. Communication was good, and we were shown a great range of properties in the Abbeville area that matched exactly what we were looking for. His local knowledge was clear from the outset, and he was always approachable and happy to help whenever we had questions. Buying a property is never completely straightforward, but Fergus helped make the process as smooth as possible and was great to work with throughout. We’ve just sold our house via Fergus at Dexters (Clapham Abbeville branch) , and he was excellent throughout. Communication was clear and timely, and he really stepped up when it mattered most. I found Dexters Estate Agents on Abbeville Road, Clapham to be genuinely outstanding. It was a highly complex and fraught sale at times with many aspects to be managed. Rory, Fergus and Alistair were all really determined to help me achieve what was necessary. They were knowledgeable, kind, astute, and reassuring and I felt in very safe hands with them. Rory, who leads the office, was inspiring and filled me with confidence in the process from the start and remained available and committed to the end. Nothing was too much trouble and he really listened and ensured what was needed was delivered. Fergus who managed the sale day-to-day, was fantastic, completely unflappable, and always one step ahead and in contact with everyone without prompting. He provided me with updates and guided me throughout, so I could keep up the pressure where needed and we could get the sale across the line. Alistair worked tirelessly to get initial offers and provided great feedback and was also a delight to have working on the sale. The staff in the rest of the office were likewise really polite, proactive and very professional. What an incredible team. I highly recommend them.

Fantastic experience from start to finish. I had several agents valuing my flat in Clapham and only Rory at Dexters believed I could achieve the price I wanted. All the other agents didn’t think it was possible as they value on square footage alone. I believed in the uniqueness of my flat and so did he. Rory, the Sales Director in the Clapham South branch, is an absolutely magician. Not only he’s genuine, polite and professional, he managed to get 5 offers in for me within a week of listing the property! We have had the best of experiences with Dexters Estate Agents in Clapham. We sold our flat in Brixton with them, and it has been the smoothest experience imaginable. Rory is a master at reading the market value of a property and was so accurate in his estimation I almost want to ask him for his predicted lotto numbers! And Jake Smith has been just fantastic. I've bought and sold via Dexters as part of the same transaction back in June 2024. It was a painstakingly tough transaction with the selling of my flat spanning three years with several unlucky situations of buyers pulling out buying my flat... eventually striking lucky with number seven. They have been professional throughout, knowledgeable with the property landscape and relentless in continuously finding me a buyer each time and always very quickly. Also worth adding they found me a fantastic family home and helped with keeping that deal alive despite those fall-throughs with my part of the chain. Absolutely 5* for Dexters on Abbeville road, especially Jake who initially showed me around what is now my home and then helped tremendously with the process. Mike was also on hand to support my purchase and guide it through to completion, driving things forward over the usual hiccups which were mainly to do with the sale of my previous address. Jake Smith did a great job supporting our home purchase. The process was complex, with a long chain. Jake is different to many other agents we have worked with - he is able to think creatively, problem solve. He pushes you when required but importantly does not push when he knows you are doing everything you can to progress. He thought more broadly about the overall parts of the transaction which did not directly involve dexters but were critical to making the sale happen. Finally, after we had exchanged, Jake organized a number of viewings for us and our daughter which helped us a lot. He did not have to do this.

For more than 15 years Dexter Letting Agency has been in charge of renting out our property in Clapham Common and the Dexter team who we dealt with over those years have been always helpful and professional. Therefore when we decided to sell our flat we asked advise to the Dexter Sale team. Margaux and Garry helped us to find a good lawyer who guided us through the whole sale of the property. Especially because we are living overseas we believed it would be complicated to sale but the Dexter Sale team put us at ease and coordinated even the last minute removal of items. Dexters did a fantastic job with the sale of our house in Clapham. The initial advice about marketing strategy and timing was spot on and we managed to get some really good interest in a really tricky market. For various reasons the period post-offer to get into contract was quite complicated and this is where Dexters really shone and in particular Fergus did a brilliant job at managing the buyer (and the seller!) and dragging the deal through to exchange. Very much recommended
