I'd like to commend Katie Wilson for the brilliant viewing experience I had. As I was travelling from quite a distance, she made sure to optimise my time and squeezed in 4 properties that matched my requirements. I was totally new to the area and completely lost my orientation outside the station, so Katie went the extra mile and kindly volunteered to pick me up and drive me directly to the properties. I have never been treated better by an estate agent.

I have been dealing with the ladies at Chanin (Tabitha, Catherine and Katie) for the last week as a student, and was looking for accommodation at the last minute. We first got in contact with Roshan, one of the estate agents at Chanin Estates, who was super nice to us! Firstly, we looked at the flat we are currently in and we had some doubts so the next day she took us to 3 more places to see and eventually we decided on one. Roshan was super kind and friendly to us. She has been a student herself and understood us completely and made us feel like actual adults not like some dumb students like other landlords have done. After that, it was a speedy process. Everyone was super kind and friendly towards us and helping us getting everything sorted before we do move in. Matthew Storey is without any doubt the best agent out there. He's been super nice and patient with me and listened carefully my requests and always delivered by showing me flats which were meeting all my criteria. Working in finance I have an extremely busy schedule and Matt never wasted my time and never seemed annoyed when I had to cancel an appointment when a last minute meeting popped up in my work calendar. Instead he would send me great details and description about the flats and rescheduled the visit at a most convenient time for me. Previously I had contacted other agents and many of them were not that nice and were trying to sell me whatever they had in their portfolio. Chanin have a great Property Management Service. Bobby was very knowledgable about the new Electrical Safety Check Regulations (EICR) that Landlords must comply with. Kept me well informed and arranged for the checks with the Electrician and my tenant. He showed great initiative, got me a coupe of quotes for the remedial works required to pass the EICR, and even managed to haggle down the best quote! as a first time renter in London my experience was awful. Catherine was always rude and unhelpful. There were lots of hidden fees and unexpected charges. Once I'd moved in, the landlord was happy to take my money but not happy to fix up his property. Catherine and her team refused to communicate with the landlord, and shirked any kind of responsibility that might mean they'd have to do any work. If you want to rent, avoid chanin estates at all costs. If I could rate them lower than one star, I would.
