We’ve been tenants with this company for almost 10 years and recently bought our home through them as well. Throughout the years, we’ve dealt with Tim, Lucy, and Steven, and the experience has always been excellent. Normally, I’m not a big fan of dealing with estate agents, but this team is different - they genuinely care about people, are always warm, approachable, and incredibly responsive. We never had any problems, and any questions we had were always handled quickly and helpfully. Thank you for making both renting and buying such a positive experience! Highly recommend.

I don’t usually write negative reviews, but my experience with Becker & Co especially with Lucy Ballard was frustrating enough that I feel others should know. After a tiring journey across London, dealing with delays and crowded buses in the heat, I made it on time for my scheduled viewing at 47 Fletcher Court in Colindale. Lucy Ballard showed me around, and everything seemed straightforward at first. I recorded the viewing so my partner, who was abroad, could see the flat. I was the first to view the property and immediately offered the full asking price of £1495, thinking that being prompt would work in my favour. Instead, I was told the landlord wasn’t comfortable proceeding unless both myself and my partner viewed the flat in person. When I suggested a virtual viewing for my partner, communication from Lucy Ballard stopped completely. The lack of transparency and poor communication left me feeling ignored and undervalued as a prospective tenant, Id expect a basic level of professionalism and respect - neither of which I received here. Ironically, I found another rental property elsewhere through a virtual viewing with no issues at all, proving that flexibility and good communication are possible in this industry. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Becker & Co or Lucy Ballard - and find their high reviews somewhat suspicious. If you value clear communication and respect as a tenant, I suggest looking elsewhere. This review is based on my honest experience and is intended to help others make an informed decision when choosing a letting agent.

As long-term renters of property we have been fortunate to have met Tim Becker of Becker & Co 12 years ago. Tim found us a lovely cottage rental in Mill Hill that we lived in for 7 years followed by a superb bungalow in Bushey that we subsequently rented for a further 5 years. My wife and I would have no hesitation in recommending Tim and his team to anyone seeking a rental property in North London. They provide a thorough, professional and dedicated Letting Agency service and most relevantly, they are a pleasure to deal with.

I just wanted to spend a minute praising all the staff that work at Becker and Co. I have been letting through them little over a year now. I have to say they have made it such an easy process and ride for me. I remember when I first got in contact with Becker and Co to enquire about a property in the Colindale area. I was nervous and unsure on what to expect as I had never attempted to rent or indeed buy a property before, so the whole process was new to me. I first spoke with Lucy who reassured me of the process and put my mind at ease within minutes of talking to her. She explained the process in a clear and professional way. She reassured me that they would do everything to find me the perfect place. They took all my needs and considerations into place from the very start. Fast toward a few months, I was moving into the new property. Lucy again, was on hand to help me with the check list and always made sure she answered questions I had super quickly! So thanks again Lucy!! Dan has also been great, I had a few issues with the meter in the property(no fault of Becker and Co). Dan who was helping with the management of the property was always there when I needed work doing or gave me some great advice on what I could do to fix certain issues. If this was not the case, he would always find a way to come and look himself before arranging a contractor if needed. Tim is also great. I’ve recently just moved into the second property with Becker and Co. Again, as stated above - everyone was there to help me with the whole process. I was adamant that I stayed with Becker and Co because of the such great experiences I had. Tim was there on call to find me and my partner the perfect property whilst we save to buy - which I hope one day is with Becker and Co. In short - I could recommend them enough. If you are looking to rent or buy, these are the people to do it with, I promise you!!

We rented a property in North London using Becker and Co between 2012-13. They are not the first agent we have worked with but they are definitely the best! Tim was our main contact and he managed the flat professionally throughout the process. We wanted a parking space and Tim persevered in persuading the landlord to give us one without raising the price. He is friendly and extremely helpful. There was this one time that our washing machine broke down and we were about to go on holiday, and Tim and the team responded quickly and got it fixed efficiently. The fees they charge are reasonable given the level of service we received. By the time we left the flat, Tim recommended a cleaning crew that were impressive in what they do and good value for money. There was no problem in claiming back our deposit whatsoever. If you want an agent who is sensible, trustworthy and responsive, we would definitely recommend Becker & Co!

Our flat has been managed by Becker and co for a year and 3 months. From day one Tim Becker has taken a hands on and personable approach. the company has a very friendly and knowledgeable approach to its clients and Tim is an individual who is not only likeable but knew the answers to the various questions we asked about each property we viewed (you'd be surprised how rare this is!) and was enthusiastic in showing them to us. We picked our two bed flat as it was in the right location, for the right price. We first viewed the flat on 23 December and placed an offer the same day. We paid our deposits, had our references checked and moved in on the 5th January, which I thought phenomenal considering we were completing paperwork over the Christmas holidays. Since moving in, we have had a small number of issues to deal with which include; washing machine not working correctly, floor fixing issues, standing charge issues and noisy neighbours. Each issue has not only been dealt with but was dealt with quickly and efficiently on each occasion. Tim calls back the same day if I ever contact him and I don't believe we've had to wait more than two days for something to be sorted. I cannot fault this managing company and its attitude towards its tenants. We recently enquired about moving to a larger property in the development and turned one property down solely on the basis that it was not to be managed by Becker and Co. I can highly recommend Becker and Co. as one of their tenants and believe you would struggle to find anyone in the development that would disagree if the friendly greetings I see Tim receives when visiting the development from time to time are anything to go by.

I recently rented a flat with Becker & Co, since the beginning of our negotiations, we were always very well attended by the agent Tim Becker and also by Miss Lucy, always friendly, efficient, giving me the support needed. Recently, there was a small leakage problem in the bathroom of the apartment, and the problem was promptly solved by Becker & Co team. Very professional State agency and I would definitely strongly recommend Becker & Co, for anyone interested in let or buy a house or flat in north London.
