I had a very positive experience with this letting agency from start to finish. The team was professional, responsive, and made the entire renting process smooth and stress-free. I strongly advise against doing business with this estate agency. They currently manage my mum’s property and have withheld tenant funds without any clear or lawful justification, which is deeply concerning. Additionally, they introduced a tenant who is now using the property for a rent-to-rent arrangement, despite being under an AST agreement. The situation has escalated further, as the tenant has set up what appears to be an HMO which goes against the clauses of the AST and is now attempting to pressure my mum into covering costs (such as installing a fire door) to make the property compliant. Communication has also been highly unprofessional and slow. Afsheen has been consistently disrespectful on the phone and has ended calls abruptly when I have tried to resolve these issues. Nyala is slow and doesn’t answer requests in a timely manner. Furthermore, there has been a refusal to provide tenant details required for us to proceed with an eviction notice, causing unnecessary delays. Overall, my experience has been extremely negative. I would strongly caution others to think carefully before engaging with this agency.

Having issues with our drain since days with water flooding into the kitchen floor from the apartment above ours (can’t use kitchen sink, dishwasher, and washing machine). There is no getting back to us or any rush to solve the problem. We are paying an exorbitant amount of money for zero service being in the same house for over three years. No maintenance has been done for the past three years along with garden deck rotting. Not sure what property owners and agencies are expecting us to do! Are we the real owners of the house and we have to take care of everything on our expenses in terms of money, time and energy? Very disappointing and no respect for people who is working really hard to manage to afford what should be a nice house in a nice area.

I really appreciated this. We really liked the property, and decided to put in a bid which got accepted. Poor quality viewings and service

The Clapham branch sales negotiator was late for the viewing and didn’t ask anyone from the office to notify us (15 minutes late). He had also double booked the appointment, the entire booking was a bit of a disorganised mess. There was a fair bit he wasn’t aware of and generally wasn’t that helpful. The specifications I gave weren’t followed in the viewings. I was ignored when asked if I wanted a broker and my contact information was shared when I had asked for it not to.

Absolutely disgusting service

Absolutely disgusting service, they come across very professional when they value the house, but once its on the market the staff are unhelpful and take days to answer emails. The details were incorrect online as it was put live without us agreeing the details, the pictures were awful and the one thing we did make them change. There has been no effort to sell the house, only having one viewer in two months. Only to find out that the contract is for 4 months too, devastated. Stay away from this company.

Worst agency, worst estate agent, and qualification I’ve ever received. I enquired about a property and the agent told me he required more details before I viewed the property, fine, I gave him my personal details, reason for buying, name of my previous lawyers and name of my mortgage brokers and providers! I asked to be able to give him information relating to my property needs face to face on the viewing, at this point we were on question 15 and he was asking me if I preferred a semi detached property or detached. The agent then randomly changed his accent and started talking like a ‘road man’ and it all felt very disingenuous. He then proceeded to tell me the apartment was not available to view because it was under offer by another agency, I asked why he took my details if he knew the property wasn’t available. I now get bombarded with calls and emails sent to me multiple times a week, I keep blocking all the numbers they call me from. It was a terrible customer experience, I want to have a relationship with someone who isn’t just a note taker but that genuinely cares about my motivations and reasons for buying.

Very unprofessional rental agent. Very doggy. Said I failed my reference when after just 2 days. I provide 2 bank details which one was my salary account and they intentionally did use the salary account. Came back and said the other accounts doesn't have trace of income.They told me the Landlord is going with someone else. Please for anything you do, don't use them except you want to lose your holding deposit or they might make life a living hell for you even if they give you the house. They can do anything for money these lot.

I needed help from Bairstow Eves to rent out my property and complete some improvement works at short notice. Jvon answered my call and he’s been amazing since day one. He’s coordinated working with the existing tenants, arranged quotes from suppliers even helping to challenge their costs. Jvon has organised bookings and found me 2 excellent sets of candidates from a pool of about 8 in a single day of viewings. I have used Bairstow eves to manage my property

I have used Bairstow eves to manage my property for the last two years. However the deliverables that were set out when signing the agreement were not met, from increasing rent annually according to market rent, to making sure that licenses were in place throughout the two year let. I have both times went out and got the gas certification and then sent it over to them myself, this was a managed service and Ideally they should have provided this service if not a reminder at least.

Lack of dedicated service to sell a property when we are the paying customers, no faith in them doing anything they say, if you can get in touch with them the right person will never be there and they will be blame it on someone else. I have been looking for house on zoopla and came accross few properties which belongs to bairstoweves,intially they were saying viewing are unavailable then later on they don’t even answer phone and when they answered they were showing properties only which they want to show and not one we want or shown available.One of the most vulnerable experience staff don’t care they don’t come back to you i would never want property from them
