Poor experience

Absolutely useless service. No surprise that people could not sell with this agents. Wanted a viewing but after multiple calls over a week, manged to get an appointment. When actually got there, the tenants were not informed of the booked visit. Promised a call back to rearrange the appt, but nothing. No responses even after leaving so many messages with the team. Very poor and unprofessional service. I wouldn't use them to buy, sell or manage my lets after this experience. What a disappointing experience 😪.

Chaos, inexperience, under qualified

Staff do not have a clue what they are doing by the looks of it, received so many documents littered with so many errors from all kinds of departments that do not communicate with one another. They dodge questions and facts like politicians or criminals, too scared to tell the landlord when he is wrong and unlawful or breach of their own terms of a tenancy agreement. Negligent or maybe even considered fraudulent tampering of notices to make their documents appear valid. Even down to simple maths (KS1 addition that my 6 year old could complete) they do not seem to be able to grasp. Denial demonstrated on all things that they are incorrect about, which I’m clever enough to have all in emails/writing. I’m embarrassing to have this agent operating, I’m not saying I know everything but I’ve had to correct and school them on a lot of aspects of our tenancy, so much so that I’m tempted to send them an invoice for my time! Avoid this agent at all costs, they side with landlords even if they are in the wrong and simply do as they are told by their clients, this isn’t always the right or ethical thing to do and certainly In need of some training/business transformation or redundancies. Avoid!

Recently moved into a new property with reeds rains bamber bridge branch and it’s a big statement but the estate agents are my current favourite to what previously have experienced to others and I honestly think it’s down to Chris who works for this branch. Complete professionalism and always polite. Super helpful and gives regular updates. Completely made the move as easy as can be and no added stress, anything needed or required Chris has sorted out. Amazing customer service!!

DiscriminatoryPhoned up wanting to view a property only to be informed that as one of the prospective tenants was on benefits that a guarantor was required, irrespective of any other information ie age or rental history or even type of benefit.They tar all benefits claimants with the same brush.I understand the need for a guarantor but to require one based on one single criteria is discrimination.

Scored 1 because I can't give negative. Appalling rental company who should be ashamed of their total lack of tenant care. I was lied to directly by them on multiple occasions, twice left for 3 months without an oven and no care on their part to ensure it was resolved. Then their disgraceful moving out team made me wait just short of 3months for my deposit back and pathetic excuses given, had to take them to deposit dispute to get it back. Avoid at all costs

Waste of time

Basically everything they do is show up to a viewing, after that they go AWOL , been chasing them constantly for the past few days after I have been told by the agent - Charlotte that someone else already put in an offer to the flat that I so much wanted . She highly recommended to call urgently at the office by 4 pm same day of the viewing (it was about 3:30 pm when we had this conversation) and her colleagues will help me out with starting the process. I am still calling 5 days later until they even decided to hung up every time I’m trying to call . Whenever they answered before that , Charlotte was never in the office and no one else was apparently dealing with the property. Well , you just wasted a week in my house hunting chasing you. Avoid at all cost if your time is precious.

Wasters and money grabbers spastics for staff!

If I could put 0 stars I would! Reeds rains are the worst letting agents to go with the 4.5 years we’ve lived in our property in Bidford on Avon we’ve had problems with property. (Twice this happened)Boiler took them 3 weeks to sort we had no hot water for 3 weeks they didn’t care!! shower broke took them a month to sort they didn’t care! To top everything we’ve just moved out of the property and they’re only giving us half of our deposit back because the grass in the garden was long and they’ve had to cut it ( that’s because they’ve waited 3 weeks to check property) I might add!! They have no ppl skills no customer service couldn’t give a toss about anyone but themselves! Absolute morons I’ve been waiting nearly a month for my deposit back they’ve is saying it’s gonna be another 5/10 days! REALLY!!! Don’t go with these morons people they can’t organise a p**s up in a brewery in my eyes!

Cannot fault Reeds at all

This review relates to the Stanley, Co Durham branch.I cannot fault Reeds at all. I’ve never sold a property before and I’m so glad I chose Reeds Rains as my estate agent; my mum recently listed her property with Signature and had a nightmare so I was aware that choosing the right agent was important. I instructed Woods, Reeds and Your Move to come value the property and Reeds stood out by a college mile. Glenn’s enthusiasm, local and market knowledge made me feel very comfortable with instructing Reeds. Once listed the property sold within 3 days and on the first viewing.From that point onwards, it was a dream to deal with Glenn, Ashleigh and Scott. Whilst the sale wasn’t seamless (due to solicitors) Ashleigh was excellent at keeping me updated and chasing through on everything required. I would definitely recommend Reeds Rains Stanley to anyone looking to sell their property. Fantastic service all round.

Reeds rains is the worst agency I have ever come across. They don’t fix or maintain the house but instead send you to the landlord who will refuse to fix anything. You would expect reeds rains to contact the landlord to fix things as you rented it through them. Any one looking to rent around Durham watch out for 8 Helmsley Close dl17 7qp as landlord will not fix anything and the bath leaks down to the dining area which I believe they have just painted over and you will start to notice it after a few months. And the worst thing is if you decide to move out they will keep your deposit. Don’t forget to use environmental health before thinking about moving.

waste of time

booked a viewing for Wednesday, they went through with the viewing, even though the listing had already been removed, which seemed dodgy. The agent said that the application package would be emailed to us in the morning, we called to double check where it was as it was already mid-day and they said it would be with us by the end of the day; however, the packages were never sent to us as the listing was clearly gone. Complete waste of time and messed us about for no reason. Agent name: Jack

I am writing to express my extreme disappointment and frustration with the way my recent property search was handled by your agency. The level of communication and mismanagement that I experienced throughout the process was absolutely unacceptable, leaving me feeling deceived and disheartened. Furthermore, I find it absolutely baffling that no one from your agency saw fit to inform me about the existence of a higher cash offer on the property. It was only through my own proactive initiative of contacting your agency that I learned about the competing offer. If I hadn't taken it upon myself to inquire, I can only assume that I would have been kept in the dark indefinitely. This lack of transparency and failure to communicate effectively is inexcusable and demonstrates a severe lack of professionalism.The entire ordeal has left me deeply saddened and questioning the integrity of your agency.

I’m not sure what their issue is but I’m starting to go down the route of discrimination. I applied to two different properties to rent and they sent me an application. I reduced the price on both properties with my offer. I heard back from Sophie stating that’s they have gone with another application and will let me know if it doesn’t go through. The next day that property was on rightmove again,for the exact price I wanted it for. I called, resubmitted my application, left voicemails you name it. They told me she was only working for one hour in the day and that she will contact me tomorrow. We are going on two days now and have heard absolutely nothing.The second property I put in an application for. They didn’t even get back to me. Just re andvertised again at a reduced price. Didn’t let us know, didn’t even try to renegotiate which we were open to.I don’t know if they have a problem against us in particular but as I am reading some reviews nobody has been treated like us. Really disappointing to see because we more than meet the criteria.

Poor experience - beware

If you choose Reeds Rains, and hand the keys over to them for their accompanied viewer, please check your property as soon as possible after any viewings. We ended up with a significant repair bill after a redundant disconnected shower was operated (Who knows why, but the accompanied viewer was there in charge of the property?) resulting in water leaking into the kitchen below and collapsing the ceiling, initial consultation with a caring branch manager escalated into a complaint which of course sided with the accompanied viewer, a very biased process. Very little empathy and absolutely zero goodwill. **Update, just read the reply from Reeds Rains probably ticking their caring box, as expected heard nothing from them. Empty promises!!!**

Myself and my partner have just bought our new home from reeds rains and I can not praise them highly enough. One of the estate agents in particular Dawn went above and beyond to help make our purchase as smoothly as possible.We experienced a lot of problems on our selling side and reeds rains ended up taking charge of our sale as well as our purchase.Can not praise them enough. They’ve been absolutely outstanding amazing communication/updates and so pro active. They managed to get communication going with various solicitors too in order to complete the chain

They just rip you off

They just rip you off , a big no for tenants , they charge unnecessarily.15-may-2023: above review was given on 13th of april and after more than a month you are asking for more info on it ? the issue is already taken up by one of reed rains member, we had some conclusions, you must get that info from reeds rains and if you want me to remove this comment then i am not obliged to remove any comments, specially the ones with which i have bad experience.18-may-2023: poor quality of check in report and differences in check out report caused me to loose deposit, even your property manager didnt knew what was removed from the property as beds , mattress and sofas were removed from the property as those were extremely dirty, and those were removed after reeds rains consent, and your property manager was asking what happened to them. Luckily i had the emails as a proof otherwise you would have charged me for those as well. I really lose trust on reeds rains , unprofessional. A mistake
