The worst experience in my life

The worst experience in my life , very unprofessional behaviour by the landlord as well as the agency, first they said to move as soon as possible and after chasing the references when everything was complete the landlord said i no longer want to continue , wasting time and i had no where to go as I already gave a notice to my previous landlord it was quite un pathetic and absolutely not acceptable behaviour entirely rude people the dont deserve to advertise an property

DON'T BOTHER

Entwistle Green (St Helens)Unfortunately I have to give 1 star review and even that is being generous. After telling us that we were going to be given another contract after our renewal date by the way a week and a half later we were issued with an section 21 no fault eviction so they lied. Apparently the landlord was sentenced to 10 years in prison which has nothing to do with us but when we did find a property they wouldn't allow us to leave earlier. They lied from the start and then we get given a council tax bill for 4 days after we moved out. We moved out on the 24th November they have charged us until the 28th November. STAY AWAY FROM THIS RENTAL AGENT. I SERIOUSLY WOULDN'T GO THROUGH THEM AT WHATEVER THE COST. There unscrupulous and pushy and useless and the staff turnover is terrible.

Could not be happier with the service…

Could not be happier with the service and support we have had from Entwistle in the Widnes/Runcorn area. We have been in contact with Amy for the last few weeks who has been a live saver. My mum has been looking for a new house after receiving a notice from her current landlord. Every agency or rep we have spoken with has been extremely unhelpful, it came across judgemental as soon as we mentioned my mums disability and the support she needs. Amy has gone above and beyond to make us feel valued and supported and did not stop trying to help us. The constant communication and reassurance made us feel so at ease and has made the whole transition so much easier. I can’t thank you enough!l and my mum is extremely grateful.

AVOID!

My mums flat flooded due to a leaking pipe, it's been over 9 weeks and both Entwistle and the landlord have still not fixed the problem. Black mould has overtook the floors and walls in the bedroom causing my mum to have breathing difficulties, a very nasty cough, headaches and nose bleeds. Both Entwistle and the landlord have been made aware or the extent of this health and safety issue and both denied responsibility at first until I went through the contract to disprove their claims. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Very disappointed

Very disappointed. Arranged a Lettings valuation last week for 11am in L4. Didn't bother to turn up. Called and the agent was on the phone and would call back Left another two messages and again nothing. Also has the sales team booked for 2.30.pm. then got a call at 2.50 with a desk top valuation. Why can't people communicate. Very frustrating and very disappointing as we are not often up in Liverpool. Won't bother with them again.

If you want money stolen from you then rent from these scammers

My pensioner father moved out of one of their properties in June into sheltered accommodation. They have owed him over £1000 since then in rent overpayment and deposit. Despite numerous emails and calls they are still withholding his money and he's now in arrears at his new property. Sheila and Anthony from the Allerton branch have been no help in sorting this problem despite numerous attempts to get his money back. We will now have no option than to seek legal advice on how we can get his money back. They are shameless scammers, avoid at all costs or you will regret it.

Absolute disgrace

Absolute disgrace. We had problems with the waste pipes and they left us live in a house full of fecal matters. When I was calling them and crying they have said to me there is no need to be upset. We have reported multiple issues in the house and they did not even reply or replied after months. Refused to give deposit back and when I told them they have 10 days to give the deposit back, they tried to convice me it is 28 days.Absolute s**t show this company. Avoid at all cost if you don’t want to deal with incompetent agency.

I really would not give them one star…

I really would not give them one star we reported faults throughout our tenancy we left the property because the toilet was not fixed and the bath was broken and shower was leaking we even reported this to the landlady and the landlady has relet the property after we left the property even though she knew the property was inhabitable and yet the estate agents are saying were liable for the rent and any damages to the property even the landlord has relet the property there were also lead pipes in the property the lead was so high in the drinking water it made my partner loss her hair the landlady saw the blood test results and water board did reading of the drinking water in the property which the landlady saw the results of this which she denies ever seeing and she even says she can not speak English and she is making the new tenant so ill

STAY CLEAR OF THEM

I paid them to manage my house some years back that I had rented out. They must be in some kind of an arrangment with a little known energy provider (To my recollection called 'Sparks') who they tried to push onto my tentants, but the tenants refused.However, when the house became empty again and I put it up for sale. Entwhistle must have informed this energy company that the house was empty, because after some months, that energy company sent me a bill close to £150 for standing charges. I never agreed to them being an energy provider, but they threatened me with legal recovery of the bill if I didn't pay it. I had no choice but to pay. On confronting them, Entwhistle didn't deny what they had done and tried to justify it. Their excuses were as pathetic as they are. Stay clear of this organisation.

I cannot give less than one star

I cannot give less than one star, otherwise I would. Is the worst company to deal with. I had problems since the beginning with the inventory. It was a lot of lies and wrong information. I had to complain about this and they only sent me the right one, with the wrong things after weeks, as I was calling and asking them for the real inventory with the real problems in the house. They said it was a nice house, but was a completely opposite. Every problem that I reported for fixing they took ages to come and I had to call every day, and some of the problems still there because they do not bother to sort it out. I stayed one entire week with problems in the toilet to flush it. They must’ve fixed it in the maximum of three days, but they didn’t. I took half day off to come with them to make the inventory because I do not trust anyone in this company and they just cancelled after 20 minutes late of the time they should be at the property and the excuses was the bad weather, but I came driving in the snow from St. Helens to Liverpool, it is not an acceptable excuse. I called them and they said they cannot do it today or they can do it by themselves without me being present. No way I would let them go to the property and make a mess and ask me to pay for it. I do not trust anyone in this company. They always blame the contractors or some company that work for them. Worst company ever!

If I could give them minus 20 stars…

If I could give them minus 20 stars I would.Avoid this estate agent if you can. Wish I had read these reviews before I tried to buy a property listed by them. No replies to emails. Made me meet with their mortgage advisor despite my partner being a mortgage advisor which was a complete waste of my time. Offer on a house accepted in November, surveys and quotes paid for as well as solicitors fees to find out in February that probate hadn't even been applied for yet so they had lied from the start. Currently still waiting for just an acknowledgement response for a complaint email I sent them a week ago! They haven't even apologised for what's gone on which would clearly be a stressful and upsetting situation for me or anyone really. Their lack of contact only exacerbates things and I'm left waiting with no indication of a timeline at all. Absolute joke.

Rented a property for a year the roof had been leaking from day 1 reported to the agent whilst I was sat there in the office I could not believe my ears lettings manager on the phone with landlord admitted that not the tenant before me but the tenant before the previous tenant reported the leak.The property was not clean when we moved in also furniture left behind no smoke alarm no carbon monoxide sensor.They or the landlord do not care about their tenants when the contract was up I moved out even the council got involved.The leak was resolved after we moved out what a coincidence.Gues what even arguing took a month to get our deposit back.Avoid at all cost they do not care about you!

My offer was accepted more than 1 month ago in St Helens, survey done and no sales memo yet issued to my solicitor to process purchase deal. No reply to calls and emails. Before doing survey which is costly, agent confirmed the property sold vacant possession and no chain.Now still awaiting follow up work from the agent.Rather frustrating.
