I spoke to Sophie, Max and Fred - I honestly cannot think of a way they could have been more helpful or more lovely. Sophie’s viewing style was perfect for me, she’s friendly and calm so naturally puts you at ease. She allowed me to take the lead (walk into rooms first, and chose the order to go round the home) - this respectful approach allowed me to fully engage with the space, and further put me at ease as I viewed. Viewing rooms in the order I wanted allowed me to put my priorities for a home first - providing an opportunity to really imagine myself in the home. Throughout this process the team have been knowledgable about the house, clear, and transparent - taking time to explain the process, and answer any (and all!) of my questions. As a result I felt supported, and really enjoyed interactions with the team. Couldn’t recommend them enough.

Fantastic level of customer service

My experience with cubitt and west has been fantastic from the get go. They have been very helpful and always there to answer questions if I had any. They reply super fast and if you phone them, they are more than happy to speak on the phone with you. A special mention for Julie who has been fantastic throughout my whole sale of my property. We had a few things go wrong in the chain and she has been fantastic guiding me through it!

Branch good, staff great!

The Cubitt & West branch we used were absolutely fantastic. Always there when we needed them and always the most helpful, especially when we had any questions or issues. My only personal issue with the company would be their use of a certain solicitors. I was deeply unhappy with their recommendation of solicitors who they recommended. You may say that I could have got my own but at that moment, being a first time buyer, I felt very much pushed into that choice. Things were great with the company themselves though. We were assigned Julie to help us and she's been absolutely spectacular. The amount of calls I've made to her to moan is frankly ridiculous but shes always been there to help, to explain what's going on and why, and to be that voice of reason when we needed it most. Very happy to have worked with her and if the review was just for her, it would have been an easy 5*!

I would not recommend using this branch to sell. At the start, they seemed to be helpful and like they were genuinely trying to help us. However, as the process went on, we found them to not be completely honest with us and when things got complicated in our sale and was not running smoothly, they very much seemed to have lost interest in putting in effort to help try selling. We have withdrawn from using them due to poor offer of service.

We had an amazing experience with Cubitt and West. Chris Bignell got our house up on the market really quickly and arranged plenty of viewings at a time when the market is usually slow. He was incredibly communicative and friendly through the whole process. Our Sales Advisor, James Samuels, regularly updated our online account so that we had immediate access to feedback from viewings. There were many moving parts with our sale (we were selling two houses to fund purchase), and our Sales Progressor, Garry Wheeler, was brilliant. He chased all parties relentlessly to make sure that everything synched up and we were able to exchange on time. Just to say what a great team Cubitt & West in Lewes provided to support my sale. James was brilliant at booking in and facilitating viewings and was always supportive and positive throughout. He has a lovely friendly manner and is super responsive to even the silliest of questions. Garry has been of invaluable support throughout the conveyancing process and provided updates, encouragement and a positive attitude, even when it was taking longer than expected. He made the journey through conveyancing that bit easier to navigate and a lot less daunting. Tina and Chris have also shared their wisdom and excellent experience gained over many years in the business. I can't explain how much Chris and Garry have done to help with the sale of my god fathers property. As I live over 500 miles away from Lewes, and this was my first experience with Selling a property using a deputyship. A brilliant service from beginning to end. Tina Williams gave us very helpful and practical advice about selling our house and we accepted an offer within days of putting the house on the market. We had more difficulty in securing an onward purchase but she and the team were incredibly proactive in helping us to find and secure a house (on sale with another agent), offering us help and advice along the way. When we had an offer accepted, the whole team were highly efficient in getting the chain to completion.
